That's what happens when you watch the TV show "Friends"...where they are supposedly living in their grandmother's rent-controlled Greenwich Village apartment and paying $600 a month. People think this is actually a thing you can do... just find a rent controlled apartment from the 1950s, and live in it without anyone noticing, that you're not in your 80s. That building is on the corner of my block. A very desirable location. The two bedroom apartment on the top floor (no terrace) that they supposedly live-in on the show is actually $7,900/mo. NO landlord is paying so little attention that he's losing out on $87K a year, while young two chicks are illegally subletting his apartment.

Yes. My wife and I have gay neighbors with a child. We pretended they didnt exist until our kids were at least 18. I think thats an appropriate age. (No..I'm just kidding).😆 You make a good point and I can offer ONE answer. YES we DO actually have gay (male) neighbors with a kid. My kids have always invited their kid to birthday parties. (They're about two years apart in age). I would say our kids never questioned the two-dads issue until they were about 9. So I suppose THAT is when they are "old enough". When they want to know.

So weird. I have never had a single person who wasn't a very close friend (or a roommate) ask me this question. I find it shocking that anyone would be so invasive as to ask such a personal question of someone who they work with. At most people have asked " are you dating anyone"...(possibly digging around to see which way I swing). But even with THAT, I would give an evasive answer because I didnt even think THAT was everyone's business. It's not like I'm closeted. All my friends have known I swing both ways for years as does everyone in my family. (We are JUST getting into that discussion with my 18 year old kids.) I just think that unless youre VERY close to someone, these things are NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS

Most of the "jobs" I've had (I'm self employed for many years) were full of gay men. (I work in a creative field) so the assumption was always gay until proven otherwise. 😆

I know a few celebrities who lie about the actual details of their sex life. It's really NONE of anyone's business in the end...so WHY does someone feel obligated to confess to what they may not want people to know ?? 🤔 When I was single and someone asked if I had a girlfriend, I simply responded "NO..I'm too busy having random sex". I never told them that I was playing for both teams. Wasn't any of their business.. .and had I been a celebrity it would have been even LESS of their business.

I've found that Dentists, and Doctors always bill the insurance company far more than what they charge ME if I'm paying out-of-pocket. I'm self employed for many years now...so never pays for me to have an expensive health insurance policy with lots of coverage. They really dont end up paying for much when you need it. Cheaper to buy the cheapest insurance in case of being hospitalized and then pay the rest out of pocket.

In his defense, not everyone who acts "really gay" is actually a homosexual. In this case, I guess they hit the nail on the head...but I've known many men over the years who *pinged* my gaydar but who chose to LIVE as a heterosexual man. As far as WHY someone like this feels obligated to share his lifestyle with the general public is beyond me. I miss the days when everyone (mostly) minded their own business and looked the other way. Why haven't we progressed as a society to the point where your sexuality is a NON issue ? WHY does everyone seem to be SO bent on sharing their pronouns and offering up admissions of taking it up the ass ?
