RadioRob got a reaction from cany10011 in Paris (Dec 2nd-11th)
I promised a few folks that I would post about my recent trip to Paris.  So this is somewhat of a brain dump to capture some of the sights/sounds/experiences.  For this trip, I was with two other friends and had another four friends that also scheduled their vacation there at the same time.  So at times, we had as many as seven crazy Americans running around.
    In the Air
The flight to Paris was a Christmas gift from my friends.  As a result, I did not have much say in the selection or booking of the flight.  We took Delta from MSP to CDG leaving Friday afternoon and arriving Saturday morning.  I was able to hang out in the Delta SkyLounge at MSP while we waited for our flight.  Once in the air, we entertained ourself in Economy with the infotainment system.

We were served a chicken dish for dinner (they were out of the pasta dish).  It was not that great...  only ended up eating a few bites.  Instead we ended up grazing from food we brought from the SkyLounge.
    Where We Stayed
For the first half of the trip, we stayed at the Renaissance Paris Nobel Eiffel Tower in a Junior Suite.  It was a fantastic hotel with great staff.  Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

This location made it pretty easy to get around to the destinations on the western part of the city.  We walked to the Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triumph, etc.  The little street cafes were fantastic and a great way to start the morning with a croissant and fresh squeezed orange juice while people watching.
For the back half of the trip, we moved further east to the Moxy Paris Bastille.  Just like it's US counterpart, you don't book at the Moxy for the room or for the service.  Instead you have a basic room and if you're at the hotel, you're hanging out in the well furnished lobby area which felt like a giant living room.  While we were there, we watched the France vs England game on the giant TV.  It was a loud and interesting experience to say the least.   The bartender literally made the experience there.  Great service and he happened to be a true mixologist.  So we just had him serve us liquor...  dealer's choice.  We did not have a single drink that disappointed.  Several drinks also never made it onto the tab as the bill was much smaller than I expected it to be.  (While tipping is not the norm, I did tip well as the service was absolutely top notch.)
    Eiffel Tower
Friends booked this, and apparently they booked it late.  As a result, the tickets for the elevator were sold out.  We ended up walking up the first 30 flights of stairs to the first landing before we decided that was enough.  We were all huffing and puffing after getting about 15 flights up.  It was pure determination that let us make it to the landing.  The was a fantastic view though!

    Arc De Triomphe
Visiting here was the day after climbing the stairs at the Eiffel Tower.  Realizing there were EVEN MORE stairs to climb here made me realize I was going to be in pretty good shape once I left Paris.  This was such an amazing set of views and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier really made me realize how much we all feel pain and loss no matter where in the world we happen to be.

    Notre Dame Cathedral
The venue is still not opened yet following the fire there a few years ago.  As a result, we could only catch a view of the exterior.  Its expected to reopen in 2024, and I definitely would love to go back and visit it once it's restored.

I have more pictures to post...  just need to finish editing and cleaning them up.  I'll share some more later when I have a few minutes.

If all goes well, I'm hoping to have the item view done by the end of the week.  Once I get to that point, it means I should hopefully be able to let ya'll play with an EARLY version of the system.
It won't be perfect by any means...  but it should give you a better idea about how the review system will work and let me work on any bugs that come up.  Anything created in this test version will be deleted...  but it will be very helpful to have people contribute some fake items and reviews to help me test later.

There is no harm in sending a text message. As @DynamicUno said just to be safe don't send too detailed of a message in case the number was reassigned. I'd send something like "Hi there. I'm going to be coming to Phoenix and wanted to schedule another appointment if you're available when I am in town." If he's not taking any bookings at all from anyone I'm sure he'll reply back to let you know or if no reply at all after a day or two then unfortunately start looking at other options.

I don't know the details, but essentially Boytoy was either bought or in some other way merged into GayGuides.  Think of GayGuides as the new home for the content that used to be on Boytoy.  So all of the content under the old domain was moved somewhere under the new one.  Unfortunately the technical team at that site did not leave good redirects to take users from the old address to the new one.  That means older posts/threads that referenced that original boytoy.com domain don't necessarily end up making its way automatically to the new location and can appear as broken.
So it's not you doing something wrong.  It's technically not even them doing something wrong.  It's just that they did not leave good "digital breadcrumbs" to point you to where the content has moved over the years.  Think about if you moved from one house to another...  if you did not leave a change of address or your change of address expired, you would have a hard time finding someone who moved without manually trying to figure out where the new place is.

I don't know if folks saw my teaser in the Lounge for the new review site, but with the new system we will have the capability to have multiple categories of things to review.  This will include things such as:

Inside of each category will be items (either a person or a place).  It's basically the thing being reviewed.  Each item depending on what category that it is in can have a set of questions/fields associated with it.  This allows us to ask different questions for each type of item being reviewed.
Within each item will be the ability to have reviews.  Again, since different categories can have different types of needs, I can create different questions for the reviews themselves.  Think of the reviews as descriptions of the encounter.  You will have an item (aka the masseur) and then the item will have reviews that describe member's encounters.
Given the progress that is being made with the new review site, I'm ready to start figuring out what information we want to collect.  This is where I need your help!
I need to collect both the types of categories we want and what questions would be in the category.  For example:
    ITEM INFO
    Contact Info
Ad URL Phone Email Website Physical Info
Age Ethnicity Height Weight Body Build Style Massage
Type (Sports, Deep Tissue, Erotic, etc) Experience (years) Location (In-call, Out-call, etc) REVIEW INFO
Location (City, State, Country) Date of Encounter Session Type (In, Out, etc) Session Length Rate (Price ranges...  100-199, 200-299, 300-399, etc) Would You Hire Again (Rate of 5 stars) Did They Match Description (Rate of 5 stars) Lived Up To Expectations (Rate of 5 stars) Review Details (A text box similar to replying to a post to free-form describe your experience.) I need to do this for both individual masseurs and for spas.  I would anticipate there would be different things you would want to know about a spa versus someone who is freelance. Let me know the types of info you think are critical to ask about both the item (person) and about the encounter itself.

RadioRob got a reaction from + Dallas4000 in What questions do we want to ask for the new review site?
For the new review site, I need to start thinking about what info we want to collect.  I have taken the data from Daddy's site and have reworked it somewhat to fit into our new system.
Going forward, we will have a database of "items" (escorts, masseurs, strip clubs, spas, restaurants, bars, etc).  For each item category, we can have different sets of questions.  These should be things that describe the item (in this case the escort).  This info would be stuff about the PERSON, not about the encounter such as height, weight, hair color, build, etc.
Once an item is added to the database, reviews can be associated to it.  This would be where we post about the encounter itself.  Such as where did it take place, how long, how much was paid, if the person matched their description, and if the person delivered on the promised experience.
Below are the fields that I have so far for the escort category...  am I missing anything critical?
    ITEM FIELDS
    Name
    Location
    Contact Info
Ad URL Phone Email Website Physical Info
Age  Ethnicity Height Weight Body Build Style Smoking Piercings Tattoos Eye Color Hair
Hair Color Hair Length Facial Hair Body Hair Premium (NOTE: This field may or may not be included.  I'm trying to figure out if this will become a "premium" field for subscribers or if it will be member only, etc.  It under no circumstances will be available to guests not logged in.)
Penis Length Penis Girth Preferences Position Orientation Kissing Frot Oral Anal REVIEW FIELDS
Location Date Session Type (In, Out, etc) Session Length Rate Paid Would You Hire Again?  (Rate 1-5 stars) Match Description?  (Rate 1-5 stars) Lived Up to Expectations?  (Rate 1-5 stars) You'll notice most of the fields are associated with the item, which is entered only once.  When adding a review, you don't have to re-enter all of the info since we already have it.  Instead you simply just give us the details about your specific encounter with that person.  My hope is this makes it easier submitting a review!
Also...  we don't want to ask TOO many questions!  Each question means more info we're trying to collect and adds more friction to getting someone to actually complete it!  If it's too hard to fill out or it feels like you're doing your taxes, people won't submit things!  So please don't be upset if not all suggestions make their way into the final version.  It's not personal...  I promise!

As someone who lived in DC for 20+ years until about 2 months ago...  once Secrets closed, there has been no bars/clubs/venues that have male strippers on a regular basis.  There are popup venues from time to time, but sadly folks in the District now have to go up to NY or down to Atlanta or Tampa/FLL.
