Your reply is very kind, heartfelt, and empathetic, but I don't believe the OP is the one who is mentioned in the story.  There is a link to the story at the bottom of his post to a NY Post article, and that has the name of the article's author.

Never forget that just because you cannot afford it or are unwilling to pay it doesn't mean someone else won't.
There is indeed a hammer for every nail.
The public pearl-clutching over rates, by some, is amusing.

    You mean the Lexus NX350h.
First, use the industry Black Book (not Blue Book) to see what a dealer has paid for the car wholesale.  That's where you start negotiations.
Don't let a salesperson know too much, too quickly- They'll ask if you're leasing, financing or a cash buyer.  Don't set this in stone until you get a price you agree with.
Never buy the first visit to the dealer.
Always be prepared to get up and walk out.
And if you walk out, make sure you leave with the salesperson's final price quote on the car (drive-out price) and that he has your phone number.
End of the month is always better to buy than early or mid.
Bottom line, you don't really negotiate.  You wait them out until they hit the (realistic) number you want.  If the model isn't a massive seller, you're more likely to win playing the long game if you can stand it.
Note:  Don't try this with a Porsche.  I learned that the hard way.

I’ve learned that you need to set boundaries doing this work. It’s easy, and tempting to take clients at any time, even changing your plans to accommodate a client.
Unfortunately that’s a recipe for dissatisfaction because you fail to make time for important things. Keeping fit is an important part of the job, just as making time for yourself. It’s not a 9 to 5 job (thankfully) but that doesn’t mean you work anytime 7 days a week.
I carve out time to go to gym, see friends etc and I generally won’t cancel those things to see a client, especially if it’s a short notice booking, which a lot are.

I get where you’re coming from, but off the top of my head…
Guys who are serious about the gym often like strict routines. It’s how they achieve amazing results. Some even see the gym as a job, it’s part of the work that enables them to be successful in everything else, including escorting.
Maybe he has a trainer booked and can’t reschedule every time a possible client expresses interest.

Or he has enough clients already, so doesn’t need to upset his routine to take an extra one. Not everyone wants to maximize.

I enjoyed Down Low. Not an Oscar film, and it doesn’t red to be. It’s a fun ride without having to appeal to everyone. Dark, irreverent, bitingly funny, and full of heart at the same time.
Zachary Quinto plays the repressed younger-middle aged man perfectly. And who doesn’t enjoy more screen time with him ❤️?! His character reminds me of some of my clients.
Lukas Gage brought so much comedy. I really enjoy when a film takes me past what situations I think the characters can get out of, and then goes even further, such that I am forced to suspend my disbelief and sense of realism and embrace the comedy for what it is, and the richness of the characters moreso than the plot or any sense of realism.

For me, the decision was made for me last year, when my mother decided to move from Portland to Coeur d'Alene ID- an EV would require a recharge for the 450-mile trip, while a hybrid could do that in just one tank of fuel. So, my next car is gonna be, instead of a Ford Mustang Mach-e, a Maverick hybrid pickup. Sure, not nearly as much fun, but the 43MPG is a compelling argument- even with the low electricity prices here in the Northwest.

On a typical vacation trip here in the west, it is not unusual for me to drive 350-400 miles in a day, so range anxiety is definitely an issue for me, especially since I'm unlikely to know much about the charging stations where I am headed each day.

I do not play a doctor on TV but I am one in real life..   If you want to be totally safe, continue to be abstinent.  If you want to be as safe as you can reasonably expect to be, start Prep for at least two weeks and be faithful about taking it.  Do not start it until you are sure you are going to proceed as there is no reason to subject yourself to potential side effects if you are not committed.
As to finding a man, go to RentMen and go to the listings for your area or the largest area within a reasonable travel for a weekend.  Look at each of the photos and read the comments.  Once you have narrowed down the field, come here with a list and ask for recommendation.  I suggest looking at all the ads as you never know what might strike your fancy and if you use the checklist, that man may have been passed over.
As to the event itself, the first time I met with a man, my story was very similar to yours.  It is not a unique tale, n fact, it is common enough to be considered mundane.  So once, I got to the hotel and the escort arrived,. it took a bit of encouragement to start to do anything and once I got started it took all the willpower I had to stop.  Did not get to anal on my first encounter, nor my second encounter, which took place the next night nor my third encounter, which came two days later.  I then arranged an overnight while I was away on a trip and I finally had the time and was relaxed enough to try anal, as a top.   Many many men later, I decided to try bottoming and found it was not for me.  It took about 5 encounters to even get to the point where I was actually entered.  Word to the wise, do not become inpatient and just blurt out "just push the fucking thing in". I got what I requested but not what I wanted when I did that.
You may have very specific requirements for the men you want to see at this time, but that will change and broaden as time goes by.  So consider being a bit less specific about what the man looks like and more about what kind of person he is.  For most of us here, the intellectual connection more than compensates for any perceive physical traits that the person may be missing from you checklist.
My best advice, as opposed to Curious ByNature, do not wait for the perfect man and the perfect time or you may find that there is no perfect man nor perfect time.  But once you start to appreciate and accept your desires, almost any time can be the perfect time and you just need to allow your partner to be the perfect man.  If not, move on to the next one.

I blacked out midway through the op.
Does anyone have a Cliff's Notes version available?
But seriously... This is the emailed information you send to the escort. Keep being specific and see what/who you end up with.
Trial & error means you're going to have to learn to take the good with the bad.
And stop focusing on trying to prove your sexual partner is on PrEP. You're a big boy: It's on YOU to take care of you.

    Best of luck 👍

The only place I have been to in Morocco is Marrakech, about a dozen years ago.. We went because an old friend threw a milestone birthday party for himself, and invited friends and family from around the world to join him (he rented two riads in the medina for all his guests). Since it was a mixed group, there was no gay sexual hankypanky, so I can't speak to that scene, but the setting was as exotic as any I have ever experienced, right out of an old black-and-white movie from the 1930s. I would gladly go back, if only for the food.

Try to stay in Airbnb.  U basically check yourself.in with a code.  No one cares.  Get a small 2br for less than a hotel.  Ask the guide of that take care of the two men in one room problem

Njguy2 reacted to Simon Suraci in Masseurs with room mates? How to deal with this?
It sounds like in this case the masseur takes the right approach by only scheduling appointments when the roommate is not home i.e. the functional equivalent of a dedicated space for the duration of the session. As long as nobody else is coming or going or present, that sounds fine to me. Also, he did the right thing by alerting you ahead of time. I agree, you should reschedule for a time that he has the privacy to offer you all the services you want, in an atmosphere you want.
A few of my workspace peeves:
Rule 1) no other people in/around your work space, or hanging around outside of it. The client shouldn’t encounter anyone besides a neighbor or doorman or stranger on the street or in a hall or lobby. Certainly not the masseur’s significant other, family, or friends.
Rule 2) no pets in/around your workspace. People have allergies and pets are distracting, even the most well behaved ones. Who wants a dog licking your feet or whimpering for attention in the next room or a masseur snapping their fingers or raising their voice to ask their cat to exit the room? Or worse, the pet jumps on the massage table. One of my clients told me he visited someone else and the masseur set out a glass of water for the client, upon request. The cat started lapping from the glass during the massage. I don’t blame the client for feeling weird about that.
Rule 3) provide a dedicated workspace
Rule 4) provide a sufficient buffer in between appointments so that clients will not cross paths on their way in/out.
These are just some of the problems with working out of the same place you live. If you live with other people, you must have a division of space that offers complete privacy, with a separate entrance and 100% dedicated bathroom. A client should never feel like their privacy is at risk or that they are being monitored.
One of my favorite masseurs worked out of his apartment and he had clients coming and going through his living room, which functioned as a waiting area. Appointments were back to back, no buffer, so you often saw his previous client leaving before you went in, and again in reverse on your way out. His partner lived separately at the time but was frequently in the living room too. So weird. It never bothered me, but I can’t imagine a lot of my clients would ever put up with that. Good thing his massage is so good. For him, I would have the appointment on the street in the middle of Times Square if it suited him. He is just that good.

I haven't done a trip like that but your itinerary looks much more logical than some of the ones that are posted in RM... lol.  You could do it the way some providers evidently do it:
NYC, NY Boise, ID Pensacola, FL Duluth, MN Riverside, CA Barrow, AK Leadville, CO And with a one day stop in Kinshasa between your day in Duluth and your day in Riverside.

This is not a good provider. The professionals are dedicated to their craft, in tune with and concerned with fulfilling the client’s needs. Not trying to save 15 mins here or there. Certainly not with gags like colored lube. That stuff comes around to bite you. Hire professionals.

I’m no doctor and I do not offer medical advice, but I do note abnormalities and bring them up to clients after their session to recommend getting checked. Not just prostate issues but dermatological ones and chiropractic ones too.
