I don't know the specific policies of the hotels, but I have seen people bringing men to Casa Cupula, Blue Chairs and the Mercurio. Recently, PV has opened gazzillions of massage places, the Turkish massage place and one named Aqua Spa seem to concentrate in therapeutic massages (with an excellent massage, great facilities and showers), but there are now many other options for erotic massages all over town. In that respect, it has become similar to Bangkok. Prostitution in Mexico is legal under federal law, though the state of Jalisco might have certain regulations in place. That means that you can schedule a massage and safely negotiate something extra.

I agree that you didn't do anything wrong. I also agree about discretion being the main rule, and to judge every situation with discretion. I, however, had a provider that apparently wanted to befriend me. He started calling me out of nowhere just to say hello, and started sending me pictures of him in places having fun. It didn't strike me as harassment or blackmail, just odd. In fact, for some reason I found it rather off-putting than threatening. I saw him one more time after, but after that session neither of us heard again from each other. Not sure what was that all about. Just odd.

Definitely. He does list massage in his profile, though. I hindsight, I think his "I don't have a massage table" might have been some sort of open question for me to inquire about his other services. Point is he offered a service that he's not giving, he was misleading and he wasted my time. To me he handled me poorly, and I wouldn't try again nor recommend to others. Plenty more who are more pleasant to work with.

The first experience sounds quite scary. Glad that it didn't deter you. I personally don't bat myself for having a bad experience. I learn from them and avoid making the same mistakes.

Plus: Didn't ignore me (kind of) Minus: Misleading. I reached out to him for a massage, as included in his profile, and at first he gave me excuses (I am still in the learning curve of all this). I asked him if that means he's unavailable. He said that he is. We talked rate and got the address. Later he canceled and asked if we could reschedule. I agreed. Then I texted to confirm, and he replied that "Unfortunately I'm not doing massages at this time". My guess is that he has higher rates for other things than massages, so he keeps people in standby if nothing better for him comes up. Poor customer service, misleading communication. Waste of time.

Conversing with some of my providers, I can see how that can make perfect sense. They have told me that they have come across some people with not the best hygiene, and also people who go directly to them from work or other places. And, let's face it, some dudes never learned how to maintain their butts clean.

My two cents: The "just go, happens all the time" attitude about the issue doesn't take into consideration a few things: many of use love the land where we grew up, have other ties with communities, loved ones, and/or have a good career. To just up and leave, especially if you have a family and an established career, is not as easy as "just go". Furthermore, conservative people are jut wrong in their discriminatory practices and actions, especially when legal protections are in place. Leaving makes them win, and they should not win because their beliefs and actions are just cruel and wrong. Chosoing to move for comfort and for better opportunities for the LGBT is very different that being forced out from a community that you have been part of due to political pressure, or for making you feel threatened. And as things progress, they are supposed to get better not worse, so there should be less of having to leave, not the increase that we are seeing. "Happens all the time" just enables and excuses the hate.

I tried this spa twice, once in July, and another yesterday. I had both a massage and a pedicure. The first time I just went for the pedicure, but let him talk me into a 60-minute massage. I got a nice guy, young and in shape, good body. He gave me an excellent massage and didn't upsale anything. I got a little extra. Not too much extra, but enough for me to feel good (especially since I wasn't expecting any extra). The massage was very good. The second time I had another skinny young Asian gentleman, who spoke little English and he also gave a great massage, asked the right questions about areas to concentrate on, conditions he needs to be aware of, so it was a very professional massage too. I also got a little extra. The overall experience was very professional, good massage, good pedicure, excellent prices, good, well-kept facilities and good equipment (both the facilities and the guys). I personally like the place very much, and I can tell that "Batman" manages that place very well. I will go again, although I just found out in this forum that I can ask for specific masseurs. The place is fairly new, so that might be why it doesn't have many reviews, or it might have fake reviews for promotion. Not a deal-breaker to me.

I don't think that there's any solution to something that I don't think there's anything to solve here. Prices go up, consumers complain about it. Whether the prices are perceived to be up or they are not paying a discount anymore, they are paying more than before, and there's nothing else to do if they complain, other than being irritated.

Neither way shows good customer service skills. of course, no one likes being rejected (unless he has a rejection fetish). You neither have to be rude by blocking, nor being rude by being so crude. Why the black-and-white mindset? Those are not the only ways of handling a customer that you don't want.

Clients are never going to like having to pay more for any product or service. That's just life.

I saw that his RM profile doesn't include erotic massages, just therapeutic and sensual. He looks legit to me when I see the other pictures. For some reason, the main photo of him does look a little AI-generated, or like a stock image, but that's not the case with the rest.
