That's why I've got that poster on block.  It's ugly, unnecessary and on its face anyway, purposely cruel.  It would be just as easy to say "but then I'm quite specific about the type of guy I will have sex with."

A massage is actually not a good thing when you're sick or getting sick.  It usually makes you feel worse.

I'd have preferred you cancel.  If you told me you were sick, I'd cancel on your behalf.
That he talked you into it says more about his need for money than his concern with his own health (and yours).

To me, "happy ending" means at a minimum the massage therapist will provide a hand job.
But even with just that…there are hand jobs, and then there are HAND JOBS!
It’s extremely variable. I’ve had everything from full on "fuck me daddy’ passionate fucking to the masseur not touching me above my knees or below by waist the entire time. I don’t ask too many questions ahead of time. For me part of the fun is not really knowing how far things will or won’t go. But yeah, a hand job is the minimum. HAND JOB preferred. Crazy wild sex is great but far from expected. Less than a hand job? I chalk it up to experience and list the providers last name as "Loser" in my phone, so I do t make the same mistake again.
I’m not really into servicing a guys cock that he just shoves into my face. It’s a turn off. But that’s me.

    Why the constant fat shaming?
Brush up... that's how a gentleman talks! 😉

It’s for screening. I wouldn’t participate in that or help start a trend.

Why would a face pic be necessary?  I think they're not so much for identification or security purposes as they are for someone to screen out certain clients by looks or age.  Discretion is important to both masseur and client, so using a face pic to out someone isn't likely.  But if I'm being asked before the appointment is booked, then I wind up waiting to see if I made the cut.

Best way to go about it is ask for exactly what you want and see what he says. Clients are usually too chicken to ask but that saves everyone time. That cuts through any ambiguity in the ad.
Also have realistic expectations about pricing; don’t clutch your pearls when someone offers you a higher level of service for a higher rate.
Be kind when he tells you what you want is not on offer. Accept that politely and move on.

before mobile phones - people managed just fine without the need for constant communication.  they even traveled the world without maps, texting, translation apps, etc.  Not so difficult to make it across town for an appointment.
I think there is way too much reliance on phones when a little common sense will do.  Schedule a time & show up - not complicated.

Well, mine did.  We talked about no shows and he seemed entirely unstressed about it, that it wasn't something that happened to him a lot and he believed most times there was a good reason.  Now he's a masseur and a pretty zen character, just goes with the flow.  Conversely, I'm amazed at people sending deposits.  Way too much information if you are unlucky enough to wind up in the hands of a dishonest operator, which the board tells us from time to time can happen.  I'm kinda like my masseur in that respect, I like things uncomplicated.  And if that doesn't work for one guy, it's bound to work for somebody else.  Uncomplicated.
Old walk up building.  He just gave me the particulars.  Very easy to work with.

No-shows happen in every profession where scheduled appointments are the norm.  It’s just life.  The issue arises for any professional when no-shows become a pattern and disrupt the business.  If some professionals in same type business experience significantly more no-shows that others, then it’s time to look at how the professional screens clients and the booking process.

I can see where providers may experience more no-shows than doctors/lawyers - yet, some providers do not seem to have the same no-show issues described here.  It’s always helpful to look at the things the professional can be change & adjust accordingly vs just blame the clients.

I’ll bet no-show clients in provider context are much more frequent in small cities vs large urban centers where hiring is less frequent & clients may have less experience.  If a provider is operating in those type market areas and no-shows are more prevalent - then that’s a cost of doing business because it is a choice.
I can’t ever remember being a no-show to a provider because those appointments stand-out to me.  I can remember being a no-show to a dentist once or twice where the appointments are booked 6-months in advance with no reminders.  Humans are imperfect - sometimes we just forget even with the best intentions.  And things happen that just prevent a client from arriving at appointment on-time.  Either way, a call to the professional is appropriate with an explanation & apology.

We'd only corresponded through his site listing and his place was a buzzer for admission.   Typically I don't give practitioners my number and if they aren't good with that we don't do business.  Doesn't matter to me.

That’s understandable. I know clients get nervous. It doesn’t excuse just not showing up and not letting me know you’ve changed your mind though! If he’s rude to you for saying you’re anxious so are cancelling then that’s a good sign that he wasn’t the right guy for you. If he responds with understanding then you’ll know he’s the right guy for you. Go ahead and see him.
I know clients who got to the door, and almost turned around again because of the anxiety. But I see it is part of the job to recognise this and help them overcome it. There’s so much going on when you book a sensual massage or escort session: feelings of excitement, guilt, shame, anxiety, self consciousness, fear, anticipation, desire. All of these might be going on with the client. A good guy will understand and help their client deal with it, assuming the client actually tells him.

I’m keenly aware of this sentiment. This is one of many reasons why I do not work out of the same place I live. That is why, for me at least, it makes no difference whether I am partnered because he is not present or involved in any way.

It doesn't matter to me, but for this:  I don't enjoy arriving on site and being aware of someone else's presence.  I just feel distracted by it.  Be as coupled as you like, just don't creak to floorboards during my visit.
