Some just thrive on conflict wherever and however if manifests. Psychiatrists text book examples. Borderline personality or narcissist who feel numb and invisible unless in conflict.
A giveaway is when some report back consistently on all the fights they’re recently had, how many people were rude to them that day etc

    Question:
Why is it a surprise that some of these potential clients have poor communication issues, or are overly sensitive, or are just simply socially inept?

For some of these guys, that’s why they are reaching out to hire… Just imagine them communicating in real life with men outside of the realm of hiring.

This is more typical once you’ve established a rapport with the therapist.  You two are obviously comfortable with each other and things may continue to escalate as you go back for more massages.  However, never expect anything and you won’t be disappointed.  You may go back and have a “normal” massage and ending.  Don’t take it personally- could be an off day, or the therapist has other things on his mind, etc.  Remember , it’s a business transaction and 99.9% of the time does not turn into anything outside the room…..try not to mistake it for anything other than that and just enjoy the time spent together.

What you described looks standard to me. You're known to be a very generous tipper, and the person you see appreciates you for that, and is comfortable to be doing more with you as a client. However, understand that you are at a place of massage, and are fortunate that you're getting a nice bonus with your experience, so if out of the blue you just get a massage only, don't get angry, just find somewhere else to go!

My experience is that most guys (not all, but most) will offer a "session rate" as @MikeBiDude called it. Typically, I'll ask "what are your rates for one, two, and three hours?" It gives them the opportunity to offer a "session rate" without me having to ask about a "discount."

Well I’m glad you get where I’m coming from because I’m not gaslighting you (and im not gaslighting you by saying I’m not gas … sorry couldn’t resist)
Ill take it further. You can’t blame potential clients for not reading or understanding whatever instructions you have in your ad. Or rather you have to expect it will happen. It’s not like an entrance exam to an elite private school where they shouldn’t be allowed a conversation with one lapse in your preferred methods. And the easier you make it for them they may veer toward a hire.

To be fair some providers on here convey very professional attitudes - I’m sure there’s a spectrum of behavior just as there is among clients.

Providers like this need to be “outed” - with the ability for them to defend themselves of course which is why forums like this are good. At some point if what you say is accurate this becomes akin to extortion, preying on client fears for safety, discretion etc - would help to know who he is if you’re comfortable sharing.
The few times I’ve tried to leave without fully paying a donation for reasons I consider fully justified, it’s turned ugly; the most disengaged / high / drunk / entitled / narcissistic (etc etc) provider still wants his cash at the end of the day.

We can agree to disagree on this, my experience is that female providers are a very different paradigm than males. If nothing else females command far different rates.

I'm not convinced the male sex drive needs a "funnel" to seek out real men. Unfortunately, actual physical contact is one thing AI won't be able to provide for a loooooong time.
(and when it does, there goes not only escorting, but probably dating, marriage, etc.)

But there is a guarantee for a provider to get cash with a deposit, right? If not, why would you ask for a deposit?
