Money is a limiting factor for some.  I had a visitor last night who mentioned that a client of his lives in a large home on the mountain here in Palm Springs and that person has several other luxury homes.  Clearly that person is not worried about money the same way I am.  I, on the other hand, have a nice home and am prudent with my hiring and other expenses, so money is a concern but not a total limitation.   For others, this hobby is a treat in which to be indulged infrequently or for special occasions.
We all have financial issues, some are more pressing than others.  As with other indulgences, your ability to enjoy them is dependent on your individual circumstances and priorities.

I have had one encounter, which I may have written about before.  I hired a new escort in Las Vegas while on a trip with friends.  I met the man in the bar of my hotel and spoke with him over a drink.  Well, a drink for me, two or three for him.  That should have been the red flag but he seemed nice enough and definitely was hot enough, so we went back to my room.  He asked me to put on porn, straight porn as it were.  Another red flag, if what we are doing is not sexy enough to have him perform, perhaps he is not the right man.   Subsequently, he refused to kiss, though he advertised that he did, so another red flag.  Ultimately he asked for more money before anything too intimate happened and then made some remarks and made some actions which confirmed I did not want to continue.  For example he grabbed me in a threatening manner and started speaking of violence and slurring his words.  Whether it was him, the alcohol or something like drugs, I do not know, but I did not have him stay around to find out.  I did give him his fee, as I was the one calling it off.  I did not give him the increased fee he demanded earlier in our interaction.

I must admit to not knowing about ethyl chloride being used as a "popper" and assumed it was amyl nitrite with a different way of administration.  Thanks for that information.  In any case, no poppers, no K, no E when I hire in the future.  Of course, some of drugs can be used before arrival, so all I can control is that it will not be used in my presence.
Having done CPR on many occasions both in and out fo the hospital, I was comfortable doing it, but I realized that there was no guarantee that he was returning.  I guess this is another reason not to pay before the encounter.

There are few new ones but there are plenty of old favorites.  I was torn between My Mother the Car and The Addams Family.  Snaps up for the Addams.    Do you have a favorite?

I do not believe I have seen this topic covered before, at least not in this forum.
I had an encounter with an escort I have seen several times before.  He likes to PNP.  I generally do not do that and I prefer that it not be done on my time.  However, I had no problem with an escort who like to use poppers though with the hundreds of encounters I have had, the escort has used poppers only once or twice.  Two nights ago, the man I invited to my home was perhaps a bit intoxicated.  Not overly so, more a slightly tipsy drunk, but definitely conversant and aware.
As we started, he made it clear he would like to be restrained and since I have portable restraints, I was prepared to do this.  After he was secured, he asked me to spray some popper spray onto a towel for him.  I did so.  He took a hit.  The restraints on one hand was long enough for him to reach his face with his hand.  Soon after, he took another and then managed to spray the towel again.  After the third or fourth inhalation,  he was not conscious and he stopped breathing and had no discernable pulse. I tried waking him with a few slaps to the face and then, it was clear to me he was not responsive.  I gave him a few deep breaths of mouth to mouth and then did a brief round of chest compressions and he gasped.   Seconds later he was mumbling and then speaking but not really making sense.  A few seconds later, he was fully awake again.  At that point, he reach for the towel, which I grabbed from his hand and when he protested, I tightened the lose restraint.  I then told him what had happened.
Strangely enough, he was nonplussed.   I, on the other hand was relieved that I did not have to call the police and explain what happened.
Knowing that poppers have a short half life and that fatalities from them are very very unusual, I had consented to his using them. I will never be party to that again.
Has anyone elese had a similar experience?   Other drugs, especially opiates are well recognized for causing this type of situation and in reading about poppers, this kind of thing is very rare, but can occur even in people who have used it many times and also in a first time user.  The need to avoid medications such as Viagra with poppers is well recognized, but his man denied using any erectile enhancing medications.
For those curious as to what happened afterwards, after a brief time of unwinding from this, we did complete the encounter.  I did take his poppers from him but returned it to him as he left.  We had a second encounter before he left in my pool, but that is another story for another posting.

I have reason to believe he was mixing with other drugs.  I did not think that before this happened, but other events suggest that is a real possibility.  In any case, he was fine in the end but I think he is walking a tightrope as far as his general health goes.  Advised him to reconsider his use of party drugs, but one can only suggest.
