FT Lauderdale Clubs - Jan 2026

Visited the clubs in Fort Lauderdale over the past week. Just some updates on experiences. 

Johnsons - $5 cover cash only.  $10 for Private room wristband cash only.  $25 per song for private dances.  Drinks were reasonable at $6-$7 cocktails could be charged. 10 guys ish.  Went twice wasn't impressed with the guys. 

Le Boy - $15 Private room wristband,  $20 per song. Mixture of twinks and college guys.  Hit or miss.  Had a one lap dance which the dancer was fun and gave more songs then charged. Other dancers wanted $400 all inclusive 

Boardwalk - all over the place.  Monday/Tuesday night - no cover.  $100 all inclusive private room,.  Friday/Saturday - $10 cover, $35 private room.  Dancer crazy fees $200-$800

The rates here have become really high and the guys are pretty arrogant for how they appear.  They had a lot of missed opportunities over greed.  Puerto Vallarta, Thailand, Barcelona, Tijuana all such a better value and experience.  Each visit to SoFL Im getting more and more turned off with the costs of everything going up and quality going down.  Paid parking everywhere till 3am (including hunters/Georgie's Alibi lot).

I’m currently in Lauderdale and heading back up north tomorrow. I visited Johnson’s four nights in a row:

Thursday Jan 1…pretty quiet. Not many dancers. I guess everyone was partied out from NYE. 

Friday…absolutely packed.  I’ve honestly never seen it so full.  I generally avoid weekends at these clubs and I was reminded why with the club so full. Apparently, a gay couple got into a fistfight shortly after I left. I was told one of the guys was flirting with a dancer and the other guy didn’t like it.   Oh and the new owners turned up for a while. Someone pointed them out to me but I didn’t speak with them. 

Saturday…More comfortable than Friday.  Busy but not packed. 
 

Sunday…just having cocktails at the front bar before I call it an early night. 
 

I agree with the sentiment expressed above. No outstanding dancers at the club currently. I hung-out and chatted with multiple dancers (practicing my spanish which I enjoy) and had a good time doing that. Lucas (the Argentine guy that looks like Brando) was not present any of the days I was there. 

I didn’t get to any of the other strip clubs during my visit.

What were the dancers at Boardwalk like?  I haven't been there in years but recall it being a late club.  And yes, the Alibi/Hunters lot became a paid lot last year.

It’s been a couple of decades since I spent my winters in SFla and frequented the stripper bars and other venues in Fort Lauderdale and Miami. I have followed this forum topic though in the past number of years. At one time including when I was there many of the dancers came down from Montreal in the winter months to make more money and returned to Montreal in the summer for the tourist season when South Florida went dead. 
Has this changed? I know the border issues now may be playing a role in discouraging travel.

I can't say whether it's the case this winter, but last year (Dec. 2024) I met a dancer at Johnsons Ft. Lauderdale who said he was from Montreal. He told me he comes down for the winter & makes enough money that he didn't have to work once he returns home. I didn't really believe him at the time and still don't. But then, what would be the reason for a lie like that to someone he'd just met?

How good looking was he? I know there were guys at Campus who could pull in $1000 a night and that was over 20 years ago. Some of these dancers who went to Florida would share a rental to save on rent.

I knew another dancer who had a sugar daddy in Montreal who also lived in Florida. This guy rented a nice apartment in South Beach for the winter and kept his girlfriend there and their dog. I once housesat their place for a week taking care of their dog.

The guys coming down from Montreal to dance in Florida during the winter has fallen off a lot since Covid.  There was only one dancer from Montreal at Johnson’s on the nights I was there this past week. I’ve seen him in Florida the last few years.  So he may be the last one doing the trek to Florida from Montreal. Average looks in my opinion. Toned but not worked out body by any means.

Definitely COVID had a lot to do with lessened travel in 2020, 2021 and into 2022. But things loosened up a lot by 2024.

However since the new administration in  Washington in 2025, cross border travel fromCanada to the US has dropped off dramatically. I would think this would affect particularly anyone whose intentions were to work in the US without proper permits would be the case.

@AtlantaDude,  nudity is NOT allowed at Johnson's.
Unless you have x-ray vision and can see thru a dancer's briefs, there is no way to know whether or not he is cut.

Can anyone recommend the best night to go during the week other than Friday?  Is there a particular night during the week that draws the dancers in more than the other nights?

I like Thursdays.  But Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays are all my favorite night at Johnsons (Johnsons is closed Mondays, and I prefer a less crowded weeknight over a Friday or Saturday).

I’m 67 and have been around these places long enough to remember when things felt a little less rushed and a little more personal. I spent a few evenings recently visiting some of the clubs around Fort Lauderdale / South Florida, and figured I’d share my impressions for anyone my age (or anyone who still enjoys conversation as much as eye candy).

Johnson’s
This one felt familiar in a good way, smaller, quieter, and not as frantic as some of the othrs. The cover was low and the prices were ok. Drinks were reasonably priced, and I didn’t feel pressured to spend more than I wanted. The lineup was limited, and I won’t pretend every guy was my type, but the atmosphere was relaxed enough to sit, watch, and chat without feeling invisible, ignored/ or rushed.

Le Boy
A livelier crowd and definitely younger overall. Some of the guys were friendly and genuinely engaging, others less so, the usual. I found it helped to take my time, talk first, and see who was actually interested in mking a connection... rather than just, selling a package. When that happened, the experience was enjoyable. When it didn’t, it felt very transactional. Not my favorite environment, but I can see the appeal for some.

Boardwalk
This place really depends on the night lol. Earlier in the week felt calmer and more approachable, while weekends were louder, busier, and frankly more exhausting for me (old age?). There’s a wide range of dancers, which is nice, but also a wide range of attitudes. I had better luck going in without expectations and leaving when it stopped being fun.

Open to suggestions on things to do will be staying in Ft Lauderdale by the beach blvd.

If neither the amazing Italian or Lucas the blond Argentine are there anymore I may not be not trying  to get down there this month. I do know that the guys are almost all from Miami and drive up together (except the Italian who drove a new Mercedes sports car). 

My favorite is Rio's 2 bars of course but that long expensive flight !

Bogota is full of gay "massage" parlors in the gay area and the dancers on the 7th floor of Theatron bar are outstanding. Bogota is 5 hours from DC and flights cost the same as Florida often. From Ft Lauderdale to Bogota is about $99 on Spirit so I'm thinking a layover.

 Bozo was in Fort Lauderdale last weekend.  His first visit since last winter. Johnson's was the only club Bozo visited on this trip. Even though Matt is no longer associated with the club, his ex-husband Chris was working there. He and Bozo had a nice chat.
The club was crowded on all three nights that Bozo was there, but not nearly as packed as Bozo has seen it in past winter weekends when it was standing room only, and patrons were standing 3 or 4 deep. Sadly, it seems that the opening in the curtains in the small lap dance booths, previously 18 inches, is now 24 inches, or perhaps even more . Very disincentivizing for patrons looking to have some fun.... unless you don't mind gawkers intruding in on your intimate moments.
Also, in the past there was usually a contingent of Canadian boys. Not so this year. There was not one dancer that Bozo recognized from either Campus or Stock. In fact, there were no dancers that Bozo spoke with at Johnson's who hailed from the Great White North. At least, none that were willing to admit being Canadian. Bozo was given three different explanations from three different people for the dearth of canucks at Johnson's.
On the positive side, there were only a handful of women present each night. And they were quiet, blending in with the crowd. Happy to report that there were no large groups of obnoxious, loud, cackling hens that Bozo has seen in the past creating havoc.

Bozo managed to have fun, both at Johnson's and in his hotel room 😀. Bozo also ran into a cute blue-eyed, blonde boy dancing at Johnson's who had previously worked at both Spunk and @Buff Daddy's in NYC. He knew exactly how to put a smile on Bozo's face 😍.

Thanks, Bozo for the excellent report.    I may be going there soon. Any indication that the blond boy you mentioned may be a permanent dancer there?   I’m hoping so.
