I had a great experience yesterday with Matthew at The Sense. I think typically he only works Sundays, but I caught him on a Friday.

You are my favorite for trying this place out and reporting back. Sounds like he is not my jam but just want to say thanks 😊

An important note: $30 for this type of massage is not a “very good tip.” That’s a solid tip for a hour standard massage at an Asian massage parlor, but not for the type of massage you describe. It doesn’t take much searching on these forums to discover that you’re tipping below the expected rate. Leaving tips like this will result in masseurs feeling like they need to initiate negotiation during the session which most of us do not like to experience.

I can’t find any “Sunshine health” in Westminster… closest is “sunshine spa” at 14502 Beach Blvd Suite D, Westminster, CA 92683 with only two reviews on Google. Is this what you’re talking about? What other sites?

This is a long shot, but wondering if anyone has any intel on Asian massage spas in Portland that are quality and have male masseurs.

Totally agree with your assessment, cute and nice but does look a bit different than photos and does have some facial hair. When I saw him, I would call it a buzz cut but I wouldn’t say shaved head (unless it got shorter since I was there :)) For me I thought the massage was quite enjoyable… 6 or 7 out of 10, and I plan to return, but it’s not an immediate return or rush back (to your point).

Yes, but 8 hours… lol. It’s true you have to have a plan, but with good planning it’s easily doable. Having done this with long layovers at LAX, JFK, HND, TPE, HKG… 🤣

I will let others chime in if they know providers near LAX… but I wanted to note that 8 hours is plenty of time to rent a car and drive in to WeHo or other areas that are more ripe with providers. You can likely rent a car (if you search for deals or have any corporate discount) for less than ubering back and forth to somewhere closer to the airport for lesser massage. Just my $.02.
