That said, he started wearing a necklace with a wooden cross, "I'm a believer" and wouldn't take it off. Next. Was he proselytizing, or was it the cross necklace that made you stop seeing him? If he was excellent in the past, did the quality change because of his faith? And if it was a different symbol, like an eagle or something else secular, do you think you would have kept seeing him? Sorry - probably too many questions! But I am curious by nature. + sync and viewing ownly 1 1
CuriousByNature Posted September 3 Posted September 3 If I ever end up seeing a provider, and if they happened to erupt about politics, I don't think it would bother me too much. But if they happened to erupt about volcanoes all bets would be off.
viewing ownly Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Vegasmasseur from rentmasseur did this with me. He's been advertising for an eternity, with nobody commenting about him - until this thread came up! He was breaking a cardinal rule by stereotyping my political leanings based on my appearance. Just because at that time I looked like someone that didn't get out much, owns a stockpile of countless weapons, drives an American-made truck with American flags and assault rifle stickers galore on it, and lives in a van down by the river - I'm not. And I got really pissed off. I believe my happy ending was more like a hiccup instead of a volcanic eruption because he killed my enjoyable mood with gab. This is what I or anyone else in this situation should do : Speak up and ask if either we could change the conversation or explain that you'd just like to enjoy the massage in silence. Those should work. He was so into the stuff he was blabbing about, I felt like I couldn't get a word in edgewise. I haven't seen him since, but I doubt he'd be any different today. Danny-Darko 1

I strongly suspect he's either bipolar or unstable. I think you are talking about Drew?....My experience was with this Cuban guy (can't remember his name now..) whom I don't see anymore on entmasseur or Masseurfinder. Danny-Darko 1
+ FrankR Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Christians make the best gays. They love hanging out with the boys. xxxxx They enjoy long walks on the beach and fishing for compliments. And they know how to handle a woody in the morning, so can appreciate a carpenter’s skills. 🤭🤭 Moderator's Note: Quote of a hidden message has been removed. + Lucky, BSR, + Vegas_Millennial and 1 other 1 1 1 1
CuriousByNature Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Fair enough - if you ask someone to take their jewelry off it seems unreasonable for them to refuse. Moderator's Note: Quote of a hidden message has been removed.
ICTJOCK Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Well as a provider, all I can speak to is "clients who erupt about politics". It holds no matter what kind of business relationship it is, professional association, sales or another. Never good to talk extensively about politics and if you can't move past someone's opinion that is different than your own, you shouldn't be in a service or business relationship. I have clients that have both left and right sided viewpoints, conversation is generally limited on those topics when I am working. That doesn't mean that I don't chat with a client whose views I share. Never wise to place your political views above the service you are providing (if a provider). harlow Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) I DO NOT want to discuss politics with any provider. It’s happened before and it really kills the mood so I decided not to see that provider again. Edited September 3 by harlow Whoisyourdaddy, + Italiano, Danny-Darko and 1 other 3 1

I’m the same way. Even if I know we’d have a good discussion politics just kill the mood. Now I will admit if I find out a provider has political views that I find offensive I just won’t hire them at all or if I learn after the fact I won’t hire them again. Either way I believe in the separation of sex and state! 😂 Luv2play 1
Bill4BigJosh Posted September 3 Author Posted September 3 I'm surprised at all the response my original post elicited. Some commenters here seem concerned if a provider's political views don't "align" with theirs. I make no such demands. My objection was this person's bringing up a contentious political point, without provocation, and - without any response from me - launching an expletive-laden rant. For me, it was the bad judgment combined with the emotional incontinence. + Vegas_Millennial and Danny-Darko 2

This was long ago, back in the Midwest. After several sessions I sensed he was praying over me. At first it bugged me. But later I decided to take as a compliment that he cared. Yeah, sounds ridiculous. But he was a nice guy that cared about me. I was to shy to confirm it. soloyo215 1

It happened to me recently. There was much hissing and moral outrage on "his" part. Since I am attracted to men, it was- shall we say - more than a little deflating. I find that unprofessional. Some of us can't care less about discussing politics, and as a client, the provider is supposed to provide an environment that leads to what he's paying for. The provider's job is to give the client a good time, not to make a political point.
+ DrownedBoy Posted Friday at 10:43 PM Posted Friday at 10:43 PM I had a black escort start playing a TikTok (or similar) video with a guy lecturing on how evil white people are. I asked him to turn it off. He complied. Good example of how opinions are bad for business. + Italiano and soloyo215 2
