Ali Gator Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I thought this was rather interesting, and thought I'd share... This past week, I met up with one of my preferred masseurs who was visiting my area. It's always great catching up with him (third time for me in the past year), as he truly treats what he does as a 'business' not a hobby, always tweaking and toying with different ideas to separate himself from others. He acknowledges it's very competitive these days (especially with the flood of guys coming in from South America), and he can't 'coast' if he wishes to keep doing this for the next few years (he's in his late 30s) and stay successful. He's made a handful of smaller changes so far and they seem to be a step in the right direction. The other night he mentioned he's playing with the idea of starting a 'loyalty rewards' system with clients - a reward after 'x' amount of appointments with him (he's bouncing back and forth between 3 and 5). The reward will probably be either a % off your next appointment, or 'extra time' added on to your appointment at no charge. The client can either 'build up his rewards' or use them as he reaches them. He asked my opinion on all of this. (I should point out this idea came to him after growing frustrated with new clients and second-appointment clients wanting discounts when they book with him. This is a turn-off to him, and then he doesn't even want the client's business). I told him it's a great idea. Every business today (restaurants, airlines, credit cards, supermarkets, drugstores, department stores, car washes, etc.) have built their businesses over the past 25 years on 'loyalty programs and rewards' - why not this industry ? He still needs to do some fine-tuning on it, but I think this will be a success. He needs to keep accurate records (which I know he will), and this will be a hit. What do others think ? Is it time for providers to join the ranks of 'loyalty programs' ? soloyo215 1

Keeping your longtime clients at a lower rate as your standard rate increases, more appropriate. That said, clients have to prove they're long-term and how long that period is would only be something the escort can figure out. Like a good blackjack player strategically increasing their bet, an escort needs to know when to take advantage of his best years and increase his rate. + Vegas_Millennial 1
+ Jamie21 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 No, too complicated. I prefer clients come back because they love the product rather than because they’re getting some kind of discount. Keep making the service better, and it’s possible to do that with regular clients because you learn about what they like and what’s important to them. + Vegas_Millennial, soloyo215, Whippoorwill and 1 other 4
+ DrownedBoy Posted July 6 Posted July 6 (edited) I think many escorts (at least the older and savvier ones) have some kind of "loyalty" perks for regulars, but for obvious reasons neither provider nor client should or would talk about it. It's kinda tacky putting a "10% off" sticker on your ass, although I've seen some desperate ones do that. Edited July 6 by DrownedBoy Sp aiseeya and Whippoorwill 1 1

I've engaged with a number of guys over the years - local and travelers - and consider myself a 'regular', and not once has anyone ever offered me a 'loyalty perk'. I've seen other discounts in ads (especially MasseurFinder ads) such as a discount for military, for first responders, for college students with a student ID, as well as general ones such as 'Tuesday mornings' before noon, or 'Gay Pride week : Mon - Thursday before noon'. The discounts are usually 10%, sometimes 15%. Yet these providers never ever advertise a discount to repeat clients (such as 10 or 15% off your third appointment). That's why I think his approach of offering something (not necessarily a discount) is a wise choice with a 'Loyalty program'. An additional 15-30 minutes on my next appointment (after my third visit) goes a long way in my book, compared to offering nothing.

BrickBuilder Posted July 6 Posted July 6 This would be totally awesome. Since I am like Ambassador / Diamond Status with a number of airlines and hotel chains and also a regular (hiring across multiple years) with several providers, I guess I should be entitled to an immediate comp status with new providers that offer a loyalty program. All the hospitality industries seem to offer some type of matching/fast track/ comp status program. Better...if a group of providers banded together and gave out something like S&H Green Stamps with every successful appointment. Clients could then collect the stamps and when they have enough, redeem them with a provider in the network for a 'perk' - a discount, free time, or maybe a special fetish request. You should approach Rent.men to ask them to provide a new set of fields that would describe their program and make it a searchable criteria so we can filter by it. This idea has a lot of potential. I've certainly gotten some perks (extra time, etc) from a few of the guys I hired the most, but I never posted that on the forum or included it in a review. I considered those expressions of appreciation to me as a frequent customer, not something that provider was necessarily going to offer everyone. It's on them when and if to communicate some "bonus" to a repeat customer. I will add that most guys that I hired more than once never offered me anything extra; these extras only came from providers I had hired many, many times over more than a year, which means a small amount of men for me since I rarely found someone I wanted to hire more than a couple of times. aiseeya and + DrownedBoy 2

And for obvious reasons, I would never speak of them in details to others. IMO membership/loyalty program works best in a non-interpersonal relationship. + DrownedBoy 1
soloyo215 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 (edited) He seems like a honest business person. What I have heard is the opposite, some providers demand more, not less, for consistent services. To me that means that if he wants to implement some kind of business model, he should make sure that his demographic will respond positively to it. Some might feel like "a client" if they are members of a discount club of sort, which could take away the "focused/exclusiveness" fantasy that some clients prefer to have in regards of the type of relationship that they have with the provider. It could place the provider in certain type of category, and some might not be appreciative of that. Just my thoughts. Edited July 6 by soloyo215
Nightowl Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I prefer that the perks of my repeated patronage be the continuation of special touches and attention from my provider. A stated “loyalty” discount is unnecessary. + ApexNomad and Whippoorwill 2
+ JamesB Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I do have some concerns, especially considering the unique dynamics of erotic massage, where personal connection and fantasy play such an integral role. If he’s already put off by clients asking for discounts, how would he feel about making them an official part of his offerings? In my opinion, a better approach would be to move away from standard percentage discounts and instead introduce experiential, non-monetary rewards for loyal clients after a certain number of sessions. This would help preserve the personal and fantasy-driven nature of the experience, reduce the frustration of dealing with hagglers, and align better with his business-oriented mindset. He should also communicate the program discreetly via direct messages or in-person to maintain exclusivity and test it with trusted clients before a full rollout.
big-n-tall Posted July 7 Posted July 7 (edited) In theory this would be a good idea, but honestly there are quite a few providers who have a hard time keeping track of regular scheduling. Some guys would probably do well at keeping a loyalty point system, but most, I fear, would not. That being said, I do think a number of the guys (regulars) I've seen over the years give me some type of perk for returning to see them for so long. The guy I've probably seen the most initially gave me a rate of 1k for an overnight. He soon dropped that to $800, and now it's $600. He's even given me free sessions on occasion. I've seen him for over 12 years. Edited July 7 by big-n-tall
