Pep is taking doxycycline 200 mg within 24 hours of sexual activity. That’s it. It’s not PreP. The CDC recommends what I just wrote. It’s not complicated. PEP is completely different than taking Doxy. It's a whole regime of antivirals, often used for individuals who are already HIV+, in order to avoid the virus latching on. https://hivinfo.nih.gov/understanding-hiv/fact-sheets/post-exposure-prophylaxis-pep I believe you're confusing this with DoxyPrEP. If the provider turns down a client because he doesn’t want to do bareback the client should just move on and look for one who does. I don’t think I worded that clearly enough- I meant that it’s not realistic for a client to expect a provider to turn down another client for any reason. For example, it is not realistic for me to expect a provider to turn down a poz client.

PEP can be taken up to 72 hours post exposure.

I was confusing Pep with DoxyPep. I thought he was concerned about contracting an STI other than HIV. But DoxyPrep is not to be confused with DoxyPep.

Reread what I wrote. All factual, including the link. PEP medication are antivirals, some of the same meds used by people who are HIV+ Yes, I realize that PEP is for people who are negative wishing to stay negative.

I also dont think we are of the same generation. I know some gays who are 20 years older than me, who are very insecure about their sexuality. + Vegas_Millennial 1

I know some gays who are 20 years older than me, who are very insecure about their sexuality. I included you because your initial comment struck me as you having discomfort with anal sex. You later went into more detail about your STI concerns, which shifted my perception. Now, not specific to you but being a huge slut does not mean people are without shame. Some people who are acting out sexually carry a ton of shame. I enjoy your shade in suggesting I'm older than you. But based on what you've said about your life, I'm around five years younger.

Your opinions always remind me of some older gay men who I know in NYC. I turned 54 in February. + KensingtonHomo and Constantine 2

You two should get a room already! 😘 😘 At least you've already had the discussion publicly and know that @pubic_assistancewill insist on condoms, and @KensingtonHomo doesn't mind condoms. When I was young, I mostly liked Daddy's who used condoms. Now, I'm finding more and more young chasers who enjoy me bareback. I may be getting older, but the men I see are getting younger! And the older we get, the more men younger than us we have to choose from 😉 + sam.fitzpatrick 1
