The agency I booked with back then (again, I think it was called 'Menhattan'; I know there was a play with the name 'Manhattan') must've had some 'exclusive deal' with PLAYGIRL at the time in which they recommended the agency to the models interested in capitalizing on their 'new fame'. I mean, they had at least a dozen models from the magazine at any time (not just one or two). Whatever they did - it was a genius marketing move on their part. I miss those agencies - you didn't play a game of 'will the escort ghost me ?' when you were in the mood for hiring. The guys showed up - or called you if they were late (usually subway delays).

I used to work with fashion companies in NYC. Several of the models told me they escorted on the side, but only through a discreet organization like you described. Many years later when I was married with babies at home, I would hire from one of these agencies for a boy's night out.

I'm not personally a big consumer of porn, but what porn stars and well-known escorts DO come across my notice here on the site VERY different from what would be identified as male "supermodels" in the fashion industry. I don't think I've ever seen ONE guy mentioned in threads on porn or escorting that would pass as a "supermodel".

After a while, I would book in advance with the agency - like three or four days before I got there and would request a centerfold I had my eye on. 90% of the time, they would be available for me (I would never refer to their name in the magazine, I would just ask 'Does Mr. July work for you ?'  if the answer was yes, I'd say 'Is he available for me this Sunday night ?'  Back then, the guys were $200 hour (which they did tell me that they split with the agency). None of them were ever rude or cold, they were all personable and enjoyable to be with. None of them ever minded that I would have their issue in my suitcase, and ask them to sign their 'centerfold'.  (Most would sign their autograph on their erect dick in the photo, thinking they were clever - I loved it!).  I miss those days. (I would always ask casually, in conversation, if they were straight / gay / bi. The majority of them said 'gay'.)

Great memory!  Thanks.

I have similar experiences from the late 1990s and early 2000s.  MAXIMUM ESCORTS was a NYC agency run by Stephen and Matt, two really good guys who had a stable of model-quality men.  (One of them, Ross, may still be escorting in NYC.  He was not as stellar-looking as some others but was a client favorite and very skilled at his work.)

One of their guys, Derek, had been an Independent Escort but joined MAXIMUM and was a hit.  Blond, nicely muscled, well-hung, an excellent actor for role plays. Derek was model-handsome.  Square jaw (almost a pentagon), blue eyes, classic cheekbones, incandescent smile, full head of blondish hair.  Best kisser of all time. Hope he has prospered.

On the model looks front, how about Rich Reynolds?  He has another website with model-like pictures.  Remains very very handsome

Funny enough, he was literally on the same cruise I just went on last week. He was definitely avaiable and selling his "services" on the ship.

Was this one of the Atlantis gay cruises, or a mainstream RC/Princess/Norwegian/etc. one?

Damn! No one was selling services on my 2 cruises last year. I wanted to proposition the strapping German ship’s officer who always wore dark briefs under his white uniform trousers. But, alas, no.

So you are saying it was a ship full of holy men and assorted saints?? Maybe you weren't offering enough. Every passenger has a price, and those ship's officers and crew can always use a little extra cash -- buying underwear in all the colors in order to have a full collection is not cheap.

If you were on an Atlantis cruise I can assure you there were some passengers who were selling their services.

I guess the trick is to figure out who those are  without getting rebuffed from an unwanted approach.

AT LEAST. Not average.

True - 6 feet is the 'least' they will take. Which gives us hope that a certain 19 year old named Barron - - who is reported to be 6' 7" on some days, and 6' 9" on other days by his own father - will become a runway model, via his mother's help. 😂

Didn't one-time Playgirl centerfold Brian Buzzini refer to himself as the first male super-model back in the 90s ?  He posed for the magazine (with a beauty of an erection) in the mid-80s.

Hard to decide who has a supermodel looks today as so many guys have tattoos, and not just one or two little ones on their arms, but all over their body.  Not my scene.

Visit a psychologist who van do de-sensitization therapy to eliminate your aversion to tattoos. Suddenly the world we blossom and you will have so many more options.  😄

I don't think so.  And let's end it at that.

Maximum! They were the cream of the crop back then. And one of their guys who went by Olivier was an actual successful print model who had a Ralph Lauren fragrance ad campaign at the time, although since he was escorting, I don't think he got any other work in the industry for fashion per se. He was 6'1" according to his Maximum ad, which is just an inch shy of current male runway model standards (they prefer male models to be 6'2" ideally) but he was more muscular so not so much a runway model type but shown more as a body for underwear and such.
