DMICS Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) Quote “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share the news of the passing of our beloved Marcel, the man you all knew and loved as Tim Kruger. To the public, he was the ultimate ginger pornstar; to me, he was a sweet, caring partner of over 20 years. He was also my best friend. He touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. I am very aware of the stigma that surrounds deaths in the porn industry, so let me make this very clear to hopefully cut down on the inevitable speculation: Tim’s death was a tragic, yet simple accident at home. There were no drugs involved, nor was there any indication of foul play or suicide. Though my heart is broken into pieces, I find solace in the countless memories he gifted us. And I know that he died knowing he was loved. Tim’s legacy of compassion, love, and joy will live on in all who knew him. I am aware that you all will have countless questions, but this is all the information I have to share right now. I would love for everyone to respect his loved ones’ time to grieve in privacy. Thank you. Rest peacefully, my love. There will never be another one like you.“ https://x.com/timtales_com/status/1895854001456861258?s=46&t=mysjBJfFhL1Jda9z6x4NwQ Edited March 1 by DMICS Danny-Darko, + sync, + Axiom2001 and 7 others 2 8
Luv2play Posted March 1 Posted March 1 This is very sad news. Tim was certainly a standout in the world of gay porn. He collaborated with many actors and produced a ton of distinctive films. You always knew that if it was a TimTales then there would be some serious dick involved. RIP thomas, + José Soplanucas and + ApexNomad 3

D21howie Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Tim Kruger, gay adult film star and TimTales founder, dies WWW.OUT.COM Legally known as Marcel Bonn, the TimTales founder and star was a true pioneer in gay adult films. Here is the story from out magazine Danny-Darko and marylander1940 1 1
+ ApexNomad Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Sadly, this statement seems to do the opposite of what it intends—unintentionally fueling speculation and raising more questions rather than shutting them down. Saying there was no “indication” of foul play or suicide suggests he was likely home alone when this “simple yet tragic” accident occurred—a rather odd and somewhat contradictory phrasing. The mention of industry stigma only draws attention to rumors that may not have even existed. A cleaner, more direct statement focusing on his life and legacy, rather than preempting speculation, would have been far more effective. Peter Eater, marylander1940, + Just Sayin and 1 other 1 1 2
+ BenjaminNicholas Posted March 2 Posted March 2 2 hours ago, ArchwayAlex said: Strange how pornstars and indeed escorts die so young Not strange at all. Many guys in the business- while beautiful- aren't intelligent enough to handle immediate financial success without picking up bad habits. In Hollywood, studios can hire people to make sure the talent is kept on track. There's also in-house counsel to keep indiscretions under lock & key. Porn and escorting don't work that way. Porn doesn't protect their own: They tend to exploit them. Sex workers (porn and/or escorts) tend to die young because it's inherently a risky business. Way too many triggers for people who aren't always focused. + sync, ArchwayAlex, + José Soplanucas and 8 others 4 5 2
+ Jamie21 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 There’s no indication or comment that it was anything connected with his work or lifestyle. I guess we shall find out in due course but it feels improper to speculate on what the cause was. Best to just pass on sympathy to his family and loved ones and thanks for his life. I know people who worked with him (I’ve worked with them) and none had a bad word for him. Sometimes you hear on the grapevine that certain people are difficult but it wasn’t the case for him. People tend to think doing this kind of work is easy, it’s not even work. At first it is like that but very quickly it becomes different. If you’re going to sustain yourself doing porn and sex work you soon realise you need great discipline, conscious effort and a great degree of professionalism that exceeds that for many conventional jobs. There’s all sorts of diversions, risks, shady characters and temptations that young and impressionable minds can be subjected to. Those strong enough to recognise the risks, manage them and keep a sense of perspective can be successful on a long term basis. Luv2play Posted March 2 Posted March 2 If we are to take the press release issued by his long time partner literally, the most likely cause of death was a fall in the bathroom. Bathrooms are notorious places to have an accident at home and the slippery and hard surfaces can deal a deadly blow to the head. + Pensant and rvwnsd 1 1
d.anders Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Sorry to hear this news. I was always attracted to him. Occasionally, in his films, he would break character. In those moments, especially when he would change his facial expression to a sly smile, I had this sense he was a wholesome, fun guy. A 20-year relationship is impressive. Lots of people living without love in their lives. To have a long life in porn, and not have a lot of negativity associated with your reputation is not easy to accomplish. The partner asked for privacy and respect, acknowledging people's questions. Speculation and analysis of the message is not that. I believe accidents in the home rate quite high in the scheme of things. Creating a porn studio, let alone a successful one, is no easy task. Making movies, especially in digital, that have some ingredients of quality, is very difficult and challenging work. You need a fair number of people to help you, and you always need help from expensive computer geeks and tech assistants. There is a side to the porn business that is very much pain-in-the-ass. It seems Tim Kruger had many gifts, and the ability to stay calm and focused was one of them. BSR, Dolman, Luv2play and 3 others 3 3

+ keroscenefire Posted March 2 Posted March 2 RIP. TimTales had such a distinct style and aesthetic. It's hard to do something unique in porn but Tim did that. Truly a pioneer. thomas, + ApexNomad and marylander1940 3
Danny-Darko Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Legendary Gay Porn Star Tim Kruger Dies At 44 | STR8UPGAYPORN STR8UPGAYPORN.COM They all are saying "Tim’s death was a tragic, yet simple accident at home", yet none are stating what that "simple accident" was, fueling the speculation that whatever it was just might be embarrassing! Accidents happen all the time to people so why the mystery? "Privacy" is a thinly veiled excuse to cover something that might be embarrassing. Gene Hackman and his wife and their dog's death seem to have been an accident at home, and yet at no moment has the press nor family not been forthcoming with all that is known so far. And while all have sources have made it clear that they were very private people as well, they have been forthcoming with findings. One would think that actually stating what the "simple accident at home" was, could serve as cautionary advice to many as to be careful or not repeat such "actions" at home! But I guess we might never really know. May he R.I.P. 😪 marylander1940 1

Michael PhD Posted March 2 Posted March 2 May he RIP. I had the pleasure of meeting him over drinks with mutual friends a decade ago when I worked in Europe. We only chatted for a few minutes but he seemed like a genuine and nice man.
Luv2play Posted March 3 Posted March 3 1 hour ago, MikeThomas said: Bottomline... it's none of our business how he died. I agree that if he died accidentally, then we have no right as a society to know the specific details. But the authorities investigate every unnatural death to assure us that no foul play occurred. Society is entitled to that assurance. So how he died is our business, within those parameters. Danny-Darko and BSR 1 1
CuriousByNature Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I'm not familiar with this person or their work, but I'm thinking the reason why the post about his death specified it was an accident may have been for the benefit of the many people who likely knew him, and not for the general public. I imagine it would be very hard to reach out individually to each friend and acquaintance when a person may have hundreds or more personal contacts, so a public post indicating that it was not illness, suicide, or foul play, makes sense to me. For the thousands or more people who never met him but know of his work, they should just be satisfied with the info they've already been provided. It's natural to be curious (hence my name) but the specific details of his death really aren't anyone's business. Danny-Darko and MikeThomas 1 1
