whatdoidowiththisagain Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I've recently created a rentmen account just using it to browse whilst I worked up the courage to actually ask someone for their services. Over the weekend, I added a few of them to my buddy list on the same day. Curiously, the next day one of them messaged me and said he was available that day without prompting. Still new to how RM works and I was wondering if providers see that I've added them as a buddy; conversely, do they also see when I remove them as a buddy? Do they also see the notes I add about them?
+ poolboy48220 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I don't think they see when you add them as a buddy (I have a vague memory that one site says "Nobody will see your buddy list but you", but don't remember which site that was), but they do see who has viewed their profile. There are privacy settings that let you set it so they don't even know if you've viewed them. TorontoDrew, whatdoidowiththisagain, + Pensant and 1 other 2 2
whatdoidowiththisagain Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Oh that might be it then. Perhaps he was looking to fill a cancellation that same day and contacting everyone who visited his page?
+ poolboy48220 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Some guys seem to do it more than others. I'll check out guys that are mentioned here in the forum that I have no intention of hiring (for example, they're nowhere near me) and I'll get a rent.men message from them. pubic_assistance, whatdoidowiththisagain, CuriousByNature and 1 other 2 2

They respond ONLY becasue they can see you browsing their profile. They can NOT see your notes or that you've buddylisted them. Its a practical technique to follow up with someone browsing, as some potential clients can be shy, closeted, or lazy about reaching out. When a provider contacts you, it can feel like they're flirting which gives some men the confidence they need to "seal the deal" and schedule a meet. whatdoidowiththisagain and + Pensant 1 1
Nightowl Posted January 27 Posted January 27 On a related note, some sites allow clients to set up profiles complete with descriptions and photos. Do providers actually “shop” through client profiles or is setting one up a waste of time?
whatdoidowiththisagain Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Well it almost worked on me! unfortunately my money is earmarked for an upcoming mortgage payment but given the chance, I would have definitely done it yesterday. He was quoting a reduced rate of 250/hr 1000 overnight. Just curious, Is this a good price for florida?

I've experienced one provider coming to my town who searched through client profiles on RentMen for particular interests, then reached out with "Hello, I'm coming to Las Vegas on XXXX and see that you like XXXX which is my specialty". It turns out I already knew that provider from our Palm Springs gathering and he is one of my favorite hires, but he didn't know my profile belonged to me because we met and exchanged phone numbers in person and not through RentMen. But in my decade+ of hiring, only that one instance stood out as beinng targeted based on my client profile. whatdoidowiththisagain, pubic_assistance and Nightowl 1 2

Simon Suraci Posted January 28 Posted January 28 No. We don’t see who buddy listed us. We do see client profile views, but you can turn that feature off in settings if you wish. + Alabastrine, + Vegas_Millennial, whatdoidowiththisagain and 1 other 1 3
+ Alabastrine Posted May 9 Posted May 9 (edited) Does anyone have some general advice on what info a provider is looking for when browsing client profiles on RM? Looking for a little advice on how to make mine helpful to potential providers, while being reasonably discreet, and without sounding like the shameless hussy I hope to be (behind closed doors in certain choice situations)... Start with what we all zero in on in the provider profiles: click the boxes of the things you’re into and skip the ones you’re not. Anal, Oral, Kissing, BFE, Foreskin…or not. If you say you’re only a top or bottom, you weed out providers whose offerings don’t jibe with your interests.
