Daniel84
Long story short, a client booked a massage with me then upgraded to full service. He sent me the money via zelle but the payment was pending. In all my years of accepting zelle payments, this has never happened to me before. 5 days later the money still hasn't cleared. I contacted my bank and the transaction was canceled by him. The guy has most likely blocked me; but he did overshare where he works and what he does. I'm going to let karma deal with him but going forward I only accept zelle from clients I've seen before. I hate when providers take advantage of clients and when clients take advantage of providers. What's crazy to me is after the guy left he sent me a text saying if I ever wanted to use his ass to unload for free. Let me know.. lol ( while he canceled the payment ) thomas, Walt, Saabster and 5 others

So apparently the new scam that's going around is when you get the code from your bank. When you send a zelle transfer you put in the wrong code. They would put a hold on the transfer and then you can contact your bank and have them cancel it. I also had a client request money instead of sending the fee. He tried to keep me busy and not check my phone but right before he left I noticed. marylander1940 and kingsley88 1

Note: I am not suggesting sending any type of threatening communication to his work email, but if you can figure out what it is given you know where he works then I think you'd be within reason to simply send an email to that address that indicates his Zelle payment did not go through and you still expect to be paid "for the work you performed for him." That might make him concerned enough that he'll turn honest, at least for his transaction with you. Again, I don't think you should write anything in your email that could be interpreted as a threat to expose him; hopefully he'll just worry about that on his own and then send you the money. + Pensant
maninsoma
Maybe my use of Zelle is different. I've only ever requested or sent money via Zelle when logged into my account on either my computer or my phone. Apart from confirming my login credentials, I don't remember seeing any type of code. When I send money, if the other person is looking at their phone at the same time then they accept the funds immediately and I get a text that the transaction is complete. I'm pretty sure there's no way to claw back the money after that; I even see a warning before sending money that I should only send money to known parties because there is no way to reverse the transaction once it's complete. My suggestion would be to move on. In this day and age the provider has a lot more to lose. @Daniel84 he could download burner apps over and over again and book fake appointments that will make your life a living hell. + DrownedBoy
Several times in the past, my bank app's Zelle sent me an SNS as MFA before it would let the transfer go through. They must have pulled that. It would stay pending then, if they didn't enter the MFA code. Daniel84

So I downloaded it and I'm playing around with it. I don't see anything that shows a log of information on people. I just see the number and the name associated with it. In fact, one number I tested just said "Personal Line" for the name. is there more to it that I'm missing?

Just like most apps it takes time to figure it out its full potential. Edited September 27 by marylander1940

I'll send you by PM this guy's number, search it and you'll see all the reports about him before and after @Daniel84 ran into him. Daddy told me (after I asked him) NOT to post his number in this forum, he's infamous among DC escorts. + Pensant and PhileasFogg

When we do Zelle’s from work our directors will get a text asking is the Zelle legit and a warning to be careful for scams before we process it. Then we call to see if they have received it
kingsley88
I'm really sorry this happened but thank you for sharing as I, too, learned something new today since all my Zelle payments were always instant. In the future, will you only accept payment by cash or card? Or will you still accept Zelle payments but you have to make sure you see that the transaction was completed (not pending) before the client leaves? + BenjaminNicholas
With scammers, I often find that the timeframe of karma is a little too long for my personal taste. If you can quietly stop him, do it. You're not just doing it for yourself.
Simon Suraci
One of my regular massage clients sends me Zelle payments. Most of the time the transfers are instant. Once in a while it takes hours for the payment to process and for me to receive it. Looks like this client is intentionally scamming you though.
