I generally don't hire escort services while living in NYC. ( Mostly only looking for that sort of company when I travel ) but I DO browse occasionally in case something spectacular comes to town for a visit.

I would say based on that browsing in NYC....the standard ask is $ 400 for nice looking/ fit company doing massage+MT & happy ending or $ 500 for full escort.

Instagram models/ Only Fans models. Generally are asking somewhere between $ 600 and $ 800 in NYC

ACTUAL well known porn stars and/or the best*of*the*best models are asking for $ 1000.

PERSONALLY, I decline all these requests with the exception of the $ 400 to $ 500 range, as I just don't feel that my orgasm is any better with a glamorous Instagram model, than it is with some nice fit, boy next door type.

It's nice to dream but we all have budgets to consider.  The only people who I would have spent $ 1000 to meet tend to be actual models who aren't making themselves readily available to everyone. SO they were never a temptation to break the bank, since they weren't advertising as available to me.

Here in LA, the prices are mixed, just like NYC apparently.

I've spent the magic $1K before and it's really never been worth it, but I've taken in stride that my curiosity was satisfied.

I find my three or four regulars keep a good rate for me, and I appreciate that very much.  Why I can't stay 'satisfied' with them alone frustrates me a little bit.

But I quote pubic here due to his argument about the value of the orgasm.  $1K has not yet beat $400 or even $300 from a trusted regular or a friendly new guy.

If quoted rate is outside of your budget....simply move on, look for cheaper options. I recently pivoted to less known brands as the likes of Gucci etc are no longer healthy for my bank account. Monies better spent elsewhere. I dont feel the need to call Gucci etc to lower their prices. Simply stop buying their products. I reckon same for everything else in life, hiring provider included.

i hear you...but my experience with pretty boys is not the same...yes their prices have gone up, but to $1000. Not even $500 as a norm. If the excuse is the luxury rental apartment is $6000 a month and enough men will help them out good...but all apartments, even luxury rentals are not averaging $6000 a month...

looking for insight that is a not basic rote economics 101...that's all, or maybe there is no economic law that covers what is going on and this moment is an aberration...

we are talking Gucci here...

If you dont or cant understand or see the silver lining here....nothing much I can say on the topic.

Providers are ultimately businessmen, they work to better their life....so if they wish to charge premium so they can have $$$ to enjoy their life be it buying property, fancy car, business class flight etc...I dont see the issue here. If I can afford such premium rate then all good, if not I would simply move on.

I simply cannot understand clients being outrage at high rates as if hiring provider is a primary need. One can live all right without ever paying for sex. Hiring provider is secondary or even tertier needs. Its like hoping to buy a ferrari at a price of a honda. Again, if monies is a concern, why bother visit ferrari showroom? Just go straight to toyota or honda.

Surely y'all dont think providers are social service workers who are expected to provide stellar services at low price; where they are not expected to earn $$$$ so they can hopefully retire young.

One of my regulars charge premium $$$$ and nowadays he has slowly cutting back working hours, invest wise and has proper passive incomes.....so yeah good on him for bettering his life and future. I see no problem whatsoever him charging premium $$$, I can afford him after all.

dear lord..not outraged here...simply inquiring. aiseeya comments are so overblown and not in anyway informative...just more rote basic economics that is irrelevant to what i am asking...there is supply and demand and then there is ego stroking which is how high fashion became luxury fashion...i am not looking for ego stroking as an answer...there will always be that element...my impression is something else is at play right now and haven't read a response that tries to get at that...yes there is the base level Kia and then there is the top of the line Aston Martin or Bentley or pick the brand of your choice. But between escorts there is not that range. Maybe there is the illusion of that range. Unless the privilege of paying too much itself is what strokes your ego.

What do you think it is?

Surely you must have some ideas of what it might be? Or could be? Perhaps it is not just one thing? Could be different reasons for different providers.

At least give us a list so we can react to it! 😁

Would you rather see 4 guys at 250 or 2 guys at 500 on a given day?  Think of it from the escort perspective.

The.$500 guys in NYC that I was in touch with say that 'guys pay it.'

Damienwolfe used to charge 300 to show up, 500 to get naked and 1,000 for interactive sex.  Now he is 500 for interactive sex and 1,000 for kinky sex.  There is an ebb and flow to everything ...

For one hour. The new normal? Quote from some guy in NYC to penetrate or be penetrated. Nice work if you can get it. No thanks. And not the first outrageous quote for internal intimacy. Use to think it was driven by social media, the outlandish fees. Maybe it's more a sense of entitlement? Or maybe guys get paid that much often enough that it is worth it too charge that for maybe a once a month assignation? Disruptors!

This question seems very familiar

This obsession over $1000 and a provider’s right to set his rate has consumed way too much of @PileDriver ‘s time. Two threads on the same topic? In a matter of 4 months? Very strange! Either he can’t afford it or just has a personal gripe and refuses to pay on principle. Either way, the choice still remains simple—pay it or don’t. Move on!

oh apex...looking for insight not pat answers, that's all...its a simple question but clearly this forum isn't up to the discussion so far, or at least apex isn't? economics is more complicated than simple supply and demand and affordability...i am just curious if anyone has insight into what else is going on...that's all...has nothing to do with obsession or personal finances...it's about curiosity about what drives the market pricing...a simple question. someone in a private exchange suggested hubris. sure there is an element of that...on both sides of the exchange

I own rental real estate in Manhattan. The AVERAGE one bedroom in a WALK UP/ no doorman building in a decent part of Manhattan is $ 4500.

Door man / elevator AVERAGE is $ 5000.

Luxury building/apartment in a prime neighborhood is $ 6000.

This is boots on the ground truth.  NYC is expensive.

Even moving outside Manhattan is no longer cheap and qualifying for a living space has become very, very difficult.

Bottom line, find a guy who's in your price range, but don't piss and moan about their rates in a city like NYC.

Perhaps there is no 'insightful' or complex answer to the question. Maybe it is as simple as prices of everything being high in New York City, and men are asking a price that you may not like, but they are getting customers through the door at that rate. When Occam's Razor provides the correct answer, perhaps looking for a bigger and better one is the response that lacks insight.

I live and hire in NYC (Brooklyn, obviously). I have no interest in porn stars or guys with huge OF accounts. So I think similar to @pubic_assistance the guys I hire are attractive, fit guys who love sex. I also tend to steer clear of twunks or people with ridiculous bodies. No shade; I just don't find them as appealing as "guy next door" type. So I still see plenty of guys in the $300-$400 range - $500 for two hours. I don't think I'd ever pay $1,000 for anyone. But people are commanding that price, partly due to OF, inflation, etc.

I also notice that many of the guys I hire do this as a side hustle. I feel like there are two types of them. One type sees it as a nice addition to their income and charges a reasonable rate. And another type who see it as something they will only do for a specific price and, generally, only with men they find reasonably attractive. These guys will also charge someone they find attractive less than someone they don't. I was chatting with another member here and realized he was charging this other person $200 more an hour than me. I thought that was a bit wild.
