BINGO!! 97% of these types of Federal felony cases are pled out, so it's very rare for sentencing Judges not to respect the agreed up prison sentence guideline terms in order to maintain the integrity of the process and avoid the predictable appeals on either side!

NY State does not mess around with cases like this.  My sister's ex-husband was found searching for content, and had 10 still images (not video) on his computer.  He plead guilty and was sentenced to 30 months in prison (which he served all of)  and 10 years probation.  I'm going to bet that NY State is going to make a point with this case with a VERY strong sentence, given the facts of the case.

Ahhh, why do I suspect this is now one of those JK Rowling situations? In the sense that someone's, like totally, an "awful and terrible person" if they have the audacity to separate the person from the content, that is... 😕 

On the other hand, maybe it's finally time for the anti-AI crowd to STFU permanently because, with AI-generated content, there are no actual human beings involved in the "creative" process; additionally, if you find some content you really loved, then you never have to worry that sometimes in the future the AI will be revealed as some immoral and unethical person who's done terrible things! 😵‍💫👀😵

This is not a New York State case.  This is a federal case.

YES ...this is indeed a Federal case, subject to specific Federal sentencing guidelines. However, the Judge has latitude to which upper and lower range of those guidelines he opts to sentence someone like POS Wolfe. AND there are clear researchable studies out there which factually confirm that in Liberal / Blue States like NY and California, Federal Judges tend to sentence criminals for these Federal felony child porn crimes at the HIGHER end end of the national Federal guidelines!

That doesn't make sense. There are a litany of factors a federal judge considers if/when to use federal guidelines in determining the appropriate sentence, and then whether to use the high or low ends of the guidelines. Geographic location is NOT one of them.
However, Bozo would be willing to concede your point if you can cite a few of those "clear researchable studies" that you mentioned.

Bozo attended today's hearing at Federal Court. Sadly, the only ones in the gallery were Bozo and a female reporter from the NY Post. The chubby, clean shaven face made him look much younger than 44 - almost boyish, even sympathetic. He was handcuffed and shackled at his wrists and ankles. He was looking down at the floor as he was being led to his seat. 

The proceedings began with a lot of legal discussion between the judge and the attorneys.  When they finally got down to the charges, Wolf pled (or is it pleaded?) guilty to the one count of "enticement of a minor (15-years old) for oral sex".  In exchange, the government agreed to drop, or at least set aside, the other charges. The judge explained that with a guilty plea, Wolf will face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years + 5 years supervised probation. Maximum sentence is life. The federal sentencing guidelines call for a sentence of 188 months - 235 months for this crime; however, the judge has the discretion to sentence Wolf from anywhere between the 10-year mandatory minimum to the maximum of life in prison. There was also a fine, and forfeiture of certain assets.
Wolf will also have to register as a sex offender. 

At the point where the judge asked Wolf to explain why he was guilty, Wolf started to read a statement (likely written by his attorneys) - contacting the minor, engaging in the act, etc., Wolf broke down and started crying uncontrollably.

The actual sentencing will take place on September 29th. Between now and then, there will be a report from the Department of Probation, and both sides will make their written arguments to the judge on suggestions for sentencing.

If the judge follows the sentencing guidelines, Wolf will be around 60 or more when he is released.

I hope you also attend the sentencing on Monday if it's open to the public and let us know what that's like. I'm not surprised Wolf doesn't look as buff given there's no steroids/creatine available in jail (though I believe there is a gym.)

In prisons, just about any drug is available.  The "price" can be stiff though.

Given the amount of current and recent high-profile MDC detainees - Austin Wolf, Sean Diddy, Luigi Mangione, Sam Bankman-Fried, R. Kelly, Ja Rule, Ghislaine Maxwell, Martin Shkrelli, and El Chapo - to name a few; the prison has, or had, a type of celebrity wing where these notorious luminaries are kept isolated from the general prison population. It is unlikely they would be able to use the prison gym, at least while other inmates are there.
And it probably also rules out getting any kind of illicit drugs from fellow prisoners.

For those interested in this case, Bozo is attaching a link to Austin Wolf's attorneys' pre-sentence filing. Not surprising, they are requesting the minimum sentence of 120 months. And if Wolf stays out of trouble in prison, he would only serve 85% of his sentence, which would reduce his sentence to 102 months. His attorneys are also requesting that Wolf be given two days credit for every one day he has already served at MDC due to the harsh conditions there. Since he's been at MDC for 15 months, that would reduce his sentence to a total of 72 months. Possible, but not likely. 
Wolf has apparently been a model prisoner at MDC, working as a kitchen orderly, assisting other inmates with their chores, and studying subjects as varied as astronomy and Chinese. 

The report from the probation department is recommending a sentence of 168 months (lower than the federal guidelines which recommends a sentence of 188 - 235 months).  

The government is asking for a sentence of 235 months. The government's report portrays Wolf as an unrepentant child predator. Bozo would like to post the link to the government's pre-sentence filing here to provide balance, but can't since it includes details of Wolf's crime which involves a minor.

Yeah you are right, these VIP incarcerateds get their drugs right from the guards.  They cut out the middlemen.

My very first thought when I spied him on video years ago was 'now, there's a beast!'

I was referring to the physique and attitude. But it turns out, according to court reporting, even then, it was an accurate descriptor all the way to his core. I have no stake, but I sure don't mind if the rest of his life is made absolutely miserable, with total abandonment by family and friends.
