Meeting provider at sauna or party

I’ve noticed an increase in providers offering to meet at a sauna / bathhouse / sex party - probably as a means of still getting an engagement if a client can’t host and neither can they. I guess it also reduces risk and preserves address discretion for both parties, and is cheaper than a hotel. However it does make your encounter potentially public (and some would recognize a local provider and see you with them).

What do providers think about this - do they prefer it? Do they like staying on after the session is over?

And what happens if others try to join given the nature of these places? Would the fees go up?

(My personal preference is to avoid such a location for an encounter as I fear I would lose control, anonymity and have to “share” my experience to avoid being anti social)

Nope, it's not for me. In my opinion it reduces and diminishes the level of focus that should be directed at the person you're spending time with. If the overhead of a hotel cost is an issue, maybe the provider is in the wrong business. Also to note that many of the people we see have lives that wouldn't allow for such PDA's to put it mildly. Privacy is  something that's at the top of the list for many.

No solid escort is doing regular business at sex parties or a bath.

That's a last-ditch location for quickie meets.  

Again, if you tread in certain levels of trade, you take the inherent risks that come along with that.

I remember meeting an escort in a sauna on Van Ness Avenue (San Francisco) and getting a private room. It was certainly fun but if I have to choose I'd rather a good bed. 

Sex parties? I wouldn't be surprised if someone takes an escort to a party like that to play with him but the whole point is getting free fun I presume.

I’ve accompanied clients to saunas in the past. It’s not very common but it has happened and I see no problem with it if it is genuinely what the client wants.

A couple of times it was because the clients were too anxious to go to a sauna alone (both were first timers) so it was simple to book me to accompany them and be exclusive to them at the sauna, and show them the etiquette. 

There’s a big fear of being at a sauna and no one is interested in you and both clients had that anxiety. They wanted me to go in with them, stay with them and play with them (one was happy to do that in the open areas of the sauna, the other guy preferred using a cabin). It worked fine, the clients realised that going to a sauna need not be such a daunting experience. 

I don’t think it’s any different to say going to the cinema or for a meal with the client. You’re going to a sauna, it could be that you simply use the sauna to sit and chat. As for being seen with a sex worker I don’t think it’s much of an issue if you’re in a sauna. What’s everyone else there for?

I have been at a sauna with a client when I saw another client but at first I didn’t recognise him. He found me later on when I was showering alone while my client was getting dressed and introduced himself. I had to apologise to him because I realised I’d ignored him. He found it funny but he realised I was ‘working’. At least I was being discreet and didn’t introduce him to my other client.

Actually these requests can come from the higher priced guys too. 

Price isn’t necessarily the arbiter of quality in the profession but who’s to say anyone individual has a monopoly on determining that

I never said price meant anything.  Quality comes from how you hold yourself and the service you provide.

As to the gents who specifically ask for these kinds of locations, care to share any names?  I'm curious.

I've known someone who brings an escort to sex parties.  When others at the party see the beautiful escort having sex with him, then they join in the fun.  He uses the escort as bait to get a lot more free sex at the party than he would without the escort.

It's like why married men look more attractive than single men.  The fact or illusion that they're taken and off limits makes us want them even more.

I'm sure that scenario happens a lot but what if the attendants don't understand they must have sex with the client in order to reach the escort. 

Not dragging this out of subject but: married men more attractive? Married men off limits? Please so many folks on Grindr are married and in open relationships...

I visited that place many times back in the day. It was referred to as "the hot tubs." Private rooms with a hot tub, shower, and bed. Not great but not awful, and it served a purpose. However the place closed several years ago. Meanwhile the day stay apps have become a better option for when it's not possible to host.
