Lesion on Escort's Hand - should I be worried?

To all, I'm wondering how to broach a sensitive subject.

I'm planning to hire an escort who has good reviews here and I know his Twitter account. I was looking at his pictures when I noticed a set of lesions on his right hand:

At first I thought it was a cut or eczema but then I took a closer look, and (forgive me for assuming since I am not a medical professional) it looks really similar to herpes sores. The thing is how should I approach this subject?

1. Should I hold off hiring the escort until his skin clears up?

2. Should I make plans with the escort but simply ask him "I noticed in your Twitter pictures of your hand. Are you all right and is it something we should both worry about or be aware of?"

3. Or is the picture a simple rash / injury and I'm making too much of a big deal about it?

As much as I want to not offend the escort with my questions, I do want to be safe (and play safe too).  So I'm wondering from fellow escorts, if this were you, how would you like a client to approach you on this?

Thank you.

My motto for anything that doesn’t have an exact cause: please go see a doctor. I had to encourage a friend in San Diego earlier this year to do the same. In fact, I was telling him: go to the nearest hospital and apply for financial assistance if you don’t have the means…this is no joke.

I had a nagging cough for a few weeks (went to a doctor within 3 days, tested negative for strep and Covid), but ended up going to the emergency room one night because it got just that bad. Waiting for it to “wear off” wasn’t happening. I have asthma so, it’s not something I’d wanna delay.

I can’t necessarily say the case for this person, but regardless: it could be MRSA and worth having immediate attention. If it were a cut/injury: I’d be taking time off or wrapping it with a bandage.

You have reason for concern; it's an open wound. Probably best to err on the side of caution. Good looking out, and good job catching that small detail that could be a bigger detail. You may have saved yourself and others from a possible pathogen 🦠 🙌🏽🙏🏽

Ask him!

Calling our resident Doctor @Unicorn !

Make sure whoever you want to hire know he SHOULD be using a condom and take a pill to get it and keep it hard. Just a friendly advice considering for many young men condoms are out of fashion and won't even bring them to meet a client!

Obviously, no way to be sure without a medical evaluation (history and exam, perhaps with some labs). If I had to guess, it looks like a 2nd degree burn. Herpes blisters are usually smaller, but, yes, this definitely could be herpetic as well. The fact that the escort didn't send you a note with his picture, saying something along the lines of "don't worry about the sores on my hands--I burned myself in the kitchen," is worrisome. As others have mentioned, you should probably move onto someone else. If you're interested in hiring him in the future, you may wish to ask him what caused the sores. Bear in mind, of course, that not all escorts are paragons of honesty, so take his answer with a grain of salt. If it's a burn, he would probably easily volunteer that. If he gives another answer, you may want to run it by here again, to see if his answer is plausible. If he says he doesn't know, well that's quite a Yikes!

What's Tranq?

"Regardless of whether it's smoked, snorted, or injected, the damage it causes can be severe. People using "tranq" often develop severe wounds on their skin that can occur most often on their limbs. If left untreated, the wounds can become necrotic and require amputation, according to the DEA."

Interesting read about “tranq”. It’s a scary world out there.

Yikes! Thanks for the education. I'd never heard of this. My next medical conference is in 5 weeks. Maybe they'll talk about it then. Some of those wounds can look nasty! 😬 It looks as though xylazine is used as a horse tranquilizer, so no surprise most physicians have probably never heard of this. My fiance's brother is now in veterinary school.

Not a doctor and not trying to shame anyone, but regardless what caused the lesions I wouldn't hire the guy until he has fully healed. Likewise, I wouldn't hire/hook up with anyone if I had open wounds or lesions.

Exactly. Even if it’s “nothing serious”, one can still end up with something nasty from cum or “etc” getting in the wound. Even a little bit.

There are masseurs who use steroid and meth, it is usually obvious if you know what to look for. 1) their body is overly fat in areas where muscle could be located 2) cuts on their face 3) large bumps on body in strange places. Not all signs.

Massuer probably needs the money. When I massaged and was severely sick it got so bad I could not do anything. Doctor put me on antibiotics. Herpes lesions will spread infection. Herpes will not spread if no lesions. Most masseurs have herpes.

Well I can understand the concern.   Good health is important and imperative for someone who works as a provider.   Who knows what it is,  but for his own welfare,  he should have had it checked out,  diagnosed  by a physician and take whatever care to solve it for everybody's welfare.

If it were me,  I'd probably pass (like what was said above).     It gives me a creepy feeling.    I hope all goes well with whatever decision is made.
