RM doesn't allow for an easy way to deactivate a profile (they have some functionality, but it is clunky and you lose certain things) so some providers wind up changing their name/pics/location to "park" a profile somewhere until they're ready to return. Believe it or not, it's easier to do that whole game than to just deactivate when you want to take a break. Go figure. Some change names by creating a new profile, and that's usually a red flag. I mean who *wants* to lose that many good reviews? lol. But here it definitely isn't the case. I've seen this guy, many times. If you have the opportunity then absolutely book time with him. It'll be the best money you've ever spent on a provider, hands down. The guy is amazing. To preserve your RM profile and keep the reviews providers change their name, plus put their location somewhere obscure to avoid any contact. In the main thread a few of his regular clients mentioned he plans to come back sometime later this year. The fact he has his regular profile pictures back up now and NYC travel dates, it looks like he'll be ready to take public bookings later this week. Sadly, if you are in Alaska, he's not there. What do they lose by doing that? One example is MaxSargent whose profile expired months ago but his reviews are still there. Then there's AnthonyPhilly who takes breaks by completely deactivating his profile (I can no longer see it), but when he comes back since I have him in my buddy list, he'll pop back up in the same place. Honestly, I really don't know as I am not a provider. Good points but I think it might be a little more complex depending on the situation of a specific provider. I just know what Trev (the guy linked here by the original poster in this thread) told me when we talked about it in person last month. We were talking about how RM has a lock on this entire industry (M4M escorting in the USA) and if there were an opportunity to build a legitimate competitor to their monopoly, what would it look like? He explained the challenges of deactivating a profile really well, but I wasn't taking notes as my hands were otherwise occupied with his amazing body. What you want is the little text balloon icon visible from his profile — hitting “Contact Me” won’t get you anywhere. Also, you have to be logged in to RM in order to use its chat function. Conversely, those who say they are versatile often aren't really all that versatile. In some cases I think it's a matter of marketing, in others it's probably due to chemistry and/or communication.
