Used to be.  Though he seems to spend little time there, he has been “based” in Austin, Texas the last couple of years.

I tried to meet him while he was in DC, but my schedule prevented it. He was friendly and we chatted via text. He had just left for Austin at that point and later was going to NYC. He did confirm that Tampa was home for him when I asked.

Use caution with this one.  I found him searching for Orlando and he had his location set for Orlando.  When I contacted him turns out he was in Tampa but he said I have a car and come to Orlando.   He quoted $400.   Since he was driving from Tampa I agreed to an overnight which he quoted at $900.   He wanted a deposit which was fine.  Then he kept asking for more money.  At some point we agreed on 2 overnights and spending the day together at Disney.  Kept asking for more and more.  Kept having crisis and needed money.   $250 for an emergency. $450 when he was robbed by someone.  Now was going to be in Thailand and needed to fly back for our meeting which was now more than fully paid from original agreement with all the extra asks.  Asked for $950 for the flight.  Paid that.   Expressed concern that he would be exhausted flying back and that would Impact our time.  No he was flying back 2 days prior to our meeting.   Then that changed to flying back day of our meeting.  I’ll give him credit for trying to get back since I had paid so much and he didn’t have the means to refund me.   Now flight drama and delays. Needed to rent a car. Had to send him $700 more dollars for that.  Drives in at end of day of original meeting.   Exhausted.  Up for 30 hours.  Have dinner and like 20 minutes of fun.  Has to text and FaceTime his husband during his time.  All night periodically up and texting husband or stepping into the bathroom in the middle of the night to be on the phone with him.   Morning doesn’t want any cuddling or contact.  Decides because he’s married he needs to give up this line of work.   Still wants to spend day at theme park but since he’s unwilling to do anything I was clear about wanting decide to part ways. But he’s got crisis and needs rent money for his husband in Thailand.  So stupidly give him another $1000.    

All in spent $5000 and had like 20-30 mins of playtime. Had an exhausted companion who couldn’t get his stuff together or get focused off his husbands travels.   Very unfortunate.   Full of drama and didn’t live up to expectations or promises.  Looking back none of the things he said add up.  Shame on me for being so trusting.   I was very disappointed in my experience with him.

I have often wondered how he and his husband can afford such a jet set lifestyle.  All anyone has to do is click on his instagram link and see them flying in incredible opulence.  Perhaps we’ve uncovered how.  

I’m just glad I opted for the crawfish boil as referenced above where I got to “hang around” with quite a few guys whom I perceive as hotter than him rather than agree to his $250/hour “hang out” rate which he offered me after I flatly rejected his $450 core rate.

Your patience and indulgence are commendable. At least he showed up. I, too,  have been in your situation but for much smaller stakes. The reality is that when they do finally reach you, the ensuing drama has already sucked the life out of them. My lesson learned is that it’s not worth the wait or expense to me.
