Next level is a term borrowed from gaming, meaning achievement in the game where “levels” are a comparative measurement of skill before winning or defeated. As applied to things being marketed, it usually means “noticeably better” and/or “ownership at our price point serves as the indication of your financial success” whether or not that’s actually true.
