Have you ever hired an escort and then found out within a short time ( less than 5 years) that they’ve passed away? I experienced this with Sean Cody model Noah Storm. I met him in Phoenix in 2014 and he was one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever hired. He was so good looking that I didn’t know what to do with him. lol I think I spent a good 10 minutes simply staring at due to sensory overload. Attached are a few pictures of him. I hired him when I was 24 and have no regrets.

I found out 5 years later that he passed away. It just felt so weird to me to know that he’s gone at such a young age. I’m not quite sure how he died.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? If so, did it feel strange?

I came close to having a meet with Rob.  We had been negotiating a date (by email if I recall correctly) but the date that worked for me was the same as a big college football game which he said was a long tradition of his family attending together.  The fact that family took priority over an appointment impressed me.  It's wonderful that you had time with him.  I think he would have been remarkable to be with and to get to know, if even just a little bit.  Thanks for sharing your recollection, Westsideguy.

That seems to be true from my experience. The majority of guys I’ve hired had one or more of the following issues:

  • Addiction issues
  • Psychological issues (bi-polar, depression, pedophilia)
  • Financial problems
  • Criminal backgrounds (including prison time)

Yet you still hire them?

Dying and death are part and parcel of the contract of life, and, The Maker always insists upon performance. I am not "religious", if you will, but my nightly prayer is for those who have gone before me; I keep a small book in which I memorialize the names of deceased family members, friends, benefactors, those who have shown my some small kindness in life lest I forgot; two pages, sadly, are now devoted too young men who were "escorts"; the business is, as a matter of fact, neither "easy" nor glamorous in the long run, and, n my opinion, "Lucky" has summed up,correctly, the issues which they faced in life.

No, not anymore. Not for two years now. There are a couple I recommend to other people because they were exceptions.

From my way back machine, say 80-90’s….I discovered long after hiring two different individual  young men that they had passed. One by his own hand, and one apparently drowned in his own bathtub from a drug induced passing out.

While there was no vector/connection to my hiring them and their deaths…it disturbed me.

I’m cautious to avoid anyone who might have addiction, or mental health issues. But frankly, I’m not sure how any of us could be sure? I know (whether this is fair or not) that I have avoided some providers after during the first visit they indicated they may be on some sort of medication to control their mental health.

I met Jay Dymel a couple of times in West Hollywood. He was a veteran and one of the sexiest and more sexually charged people I have met. I was taken aback when I heard of his passing. He was so young.

My feelings are we are not involved in marriage, offspring and the benefits of raising a family with the SACRIFICES of such. Hedonism, me me me with no need for the most part to go from getting in life to giving all of a sudden slams the door on the outlook of the future. For many it's too scary a thought of very little if no family in the future when we need family the most.

This is not only the gay world. Our society has become since the 1960's more and more with each generation a self entitled  "it's all about me" culture. And we wonder why anti-depressants are now catagorized as a vitamin?

When Arpad Miklos took his life I thought about the clients who had seen him during the previous week.  Did they see the writing on the wall?  If I had detected a sign of serious depression what would I be, morally, expected to do?    I have always viewed encounters with escorts to be business transactions; not a friendship. It's a tough spot to be in.

I had a session with Jay and his then boyfriend and partner Ryan Stone 2 months before he died. He was a real sweetheart and sexy as hell. We also had dinner together that evening and I met them again the next day in another restaurant dining by themselves. I said Hi on leaving, never thinking he would be gone so soon.

I actually burst into tears when I learned of his death. Such a terrible waste of a human life. I had no idea during our few hours together that there might be something lurking beneath the surface that would result in such an outcome. I'll never forget his kisses.

That the poor lad worked his ass off, literally and not firguratively, in his lifetime, and, his "final expenses" were paid by a GoFundMe campaign is a sad statement on the rewards of "porn" and "escorting" as career choices.
