ummmhhh.... yeahhhh..... i don't want to be seen as getting on any high horses here.... or come off as self-satisfied or smug, BUT.....

this is kind of problematic to me.

i live part of every year in southeast asia and my academic work is based on ethnographic work in bangkok and manila and i see in all too real terms the consequences of white people acting out their fantasies on asian people

i know this is in the FETISH category, but let me just say that actions (and words) have real consequences, even if done in the spirit of play.

Any fetish based on a) someone's race/ethnicity that involves b) demeaning them is completely dehumanizing them. @NYMassageAddict has a real problem

yes.

(i was just trying to be diplomatic with my prose.... and keep myself immune to being told to take it into the politics forum, where, actually, is where this kind of a discussion truly belongs..... the intersection of the personal and the poilitical.... the role of social forces on the decisions we make...._

This is why I posed the question. I am open to the fact that this “fetish” is an issue and may say something about me. But I also have interacted with asian guys who seek it out and the role play aspect is mutually fun.

Regardless, don’t crucify me for bringing it up. I am open to feedback. From more than one perspective.

thanks for yours

I've been asked by black guys to do race play scenes.  The first time anybody asked me I gave it some thought because I was curious whether I would find it sexy or not.  After thinking it through, it seemed that you can't unsay those things or disclaim them, even when you don't mean them and you are only accomodating someone's fantasy who is, after all, a willing participant.   But more so, I realized I adore black men, and wouldn't want to demean them even in jest.  I told the guy that I wasn't comfortable with it.

Same experience here.  A black dude was sucking my cock in a video arcade about a decade ago, and he said he wanted me to slap his face and call him a nigger.  I was so put off at the idea I left right then and there, without even letting him finish me off

I can take no comfort in the "consenting adults" justification.

Causing harm is not always directed outwardly.  Individuals who crave these and other abusive extremes are harming themselves, which is also deserving of care.

If there are any fora members who are credentialed in human behavior, it would be very interesting to know their professional stance(s).

there is a person with a frequent presence on the Board who addressed an Asian ex-member as "Boy"...

to pretend that objectification of Asians and Asian-Americans is not a real problem is a problem

But you're veering from the original topic, as people tend to do when it comes to talking about culture and race.

The OP is talking about consensual sexual interests between two people in a private setting.

and i am saying and demonstrating that such an issue does not exist in a vacuum immune from prevailing social forces and realities.

very much on topic.

No doubt many fetish topics don’t “exist In a vacuum immune from social forces and realities.” The vast majority of them don’t interest me at all. But these are forums where folks can discuss their legal fetishes, and one’s “prose” in opposition adds nothing.

Another thing I don't get into is calling or being called while sucking dick a "faggot cock-sucker, sissy, bitch, slut, trash, etc." I just am not a demeaning person.

I don’t think the point here was to say what you are into or not. I am not into fisting, but I don’t judge those who are.

Some guys love to be called those things IN THE BEDROOM, but would fight tooth and nails if someone on the streets called them those names. It is a fetish.

I was basically replying to the original poster's comment about talking to Asian guys in a demeaning way. I should have quoted it and said I'm not into that and another thing is talking to anyone in a demeaning way with degrading words.

My curiosity is that with so many here into Asian guys, why do they treat them as an other? For one, the guy is always referred to as Asian, even though he might be Asian-American and never stepped foot into Asia. We don't refer to white escorts as "white escorts" so why refer to Asians as "Asian escorts?" Sure, it is okay to mention in the original thread that you have hired someone at an Asian spa, or even a provider who happens to be Asian.

But why, forever after, is the guy referred to as Asian? Why not just use his name? Hopefully he is a lot more than just Asian.

If you're different from the status quo, you're always going to be referred to by what makes you different.

I'm regularly called 'that ginger guy' or 'the redhead' in public.  It's just a normal thing...  And frankly, it's who I am, so it's not offensive.

People need to get angry about actual issues and not small shit they can't change.

I don’t know what is crossing a line on here, especially in today’s climate, but while I’m a liberal and push for diversity and equity, I have a strong fetish for Asian guys who love to be talked to in a demeaning way sexually.

anyone else?
