Hello fellows.

Question.

I was an old pro at the airbnb game (like, hosted three different listings for years and years in an awesome flat...heres an old ad https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1141045?s=67&unique_share_id=99104310-d8ba-4f68-a4fd-d667642c1e28 ) until late last year when I decided sort of abruptly to simplify life and move out of my mess. I was also as escort in the late 90s and early 2000s and find everything to do with escorts and the industry to be fascinating.

I am returning to the gay neighborhood to an awesomely located apartment and I am debating putting the second bedroom on airbnb post pandemic and after my renovation wraps up. I will admit that my life has become a bit boring and I need some distractions.

Here is the question...#1, if I fitted this out and offered up access to amenities that massage industry folks might appreciate (I could keep some bottles of massage stuff on hand along with a table and linens and structure the living room to work nicely for it to happen) do you think traveling guys might be interested. #2, would the fact that it is a shared space weird providers out (though I'd sort of be in the back of the flat and would not be present when they are entertaining and likely often be at my weekend house and invisible to their clients). #3, I could market it towards escorts and tacitly turn a blind eye to whatever they might do in their bedrooms and make sure to have a firm bed frame and extra sheets.

TBH, I miss hosting but not the full time work involved and would love to get to meet industry guys and support their ability to bring joy to the world. I'm also a super big pervert in a harmless way, so this would all really be fun to be around. I had a couple of guys who rented my stand alone airbnb (Gabriel Cross was there several times) and it was totally fun to be industry adjacent.

I've been tempted to do exactly the same thing here in NYC. Maybe buy a four story brownstone, live in one unit, rent another (for stable income), and airbnb out the other two, marketing especially to hookers. I would offer a sling in each unit (easy to store in a closet if they're not interested), rubber sheets, plenty of clean towels, etc. Given that non-pandemic hotel rates here are quite high, I think I could offer a better product at a competitive price and do quite well. I suspect that a regular crew of guys would come through (John Bigdick has it the second week of every other month) and would offer them a storage system so they wouldn't have to travel with lube, toys etc. every time.

I once traded apartments with a Dutch hooker who left a note saying "here's your phone while you're here. Tell them not to leave any messages, but otherwise feel free to use it for local calls while in the country." I'm not sure that's so necessary anymore, but I'd be happy to offer it if so.

I used to rent out one hooker's DC apartment in when he he out of town. Clients liked the idea of already knowing the venue if not the talent, and again, it was properly stocked.

I am not a fan, however, of the thought of multiple guys sharing one space. Too much risk of hooker drama, and I'd hate for clients to be bumping in to each other. Why not rent out the entire flat?

As pointed above by @Storm4U clients would freak out if they know someone else is in the apartment at the same time. I know a local escort who stays with a friend in SF and after telling potential clients "I'm going to be a friend's place" the follow up question was: "will he be with you all the time?". Right away he simply started saying he was renting an Airbnb all by himself... If you're in the "back of the flat" make sure to be invisible and silent.

it would work, obviously sleeping times and other things must arranged upfront and as you know an escort's schedule is pretty unpredictable.

Give it a try, it's a great idea and you'd be a great host, besides they could learn a lot from your experience and specially when it comes to saving for the future, etc.

True! I used to stay at an Bed & Breakfast in Montreal and used to bring dancers and escorts back. But in this case guests had a separate entrance to the house and the rooms rented were all together on a separate floor with its own bathroom on that floor. The men I brought back always asked about the privacy. There was no chance or running into the owners (both gay) unless they were called for, which case one would have had to go upstairs to their residence. It was fine because if was pretty private. Most other times I preferred staying at a hotel when they were booked or raised their prices because other people renting rooms didn't offer the same privacy layout.

I'm pretty sure I saw an out-of-town escort at (one of?) your airbnb's a few years ago. I have to say that I was not comfortable in the bedroom knowing that I had to cross common living space to get to the bathroom and that there might be someone in the other bedroom. Just one data point.

I always put escorts in the second floor flat, which was private and fully contained (and rather nice...it was supposed to be my private area). I think I had a few escorts slip in, though, under the radar renting other rooms in shared areas. Which would be super weird as a client. Had they asked / not assumed I was a prude I would have set them up with a different spot

Personally sounds like a dream lol. Wish every city had such. There’s been times guys have offered to let me stay at their place for free and even host clients in the spare bedroom but usually that was somewhat short term/vacation length of time. It was only awkward one time when a guy who I met on Grindr and planned an hour session with was confused to realize he was going over to a friend and coworker’s apt (who wasted home at the time) but he diffused any awkwardness with flattery for his friend’s “good taste” in boys lol.

As a client, I have stayed in a couple of B&B’s which were gay owned and here I was able to bring escorts in to see me. Usually I stay in large hotels where I can do the same with privacy assured. As a guest in a gay/gay escort owned lodging, I wouldn’t mind sharing common spaces with either other escorts or clients as I am pretty relaxed in the scene. The only reason for wanting privacy in hotels is to avoid embarrassment to others and the awkwardness it could engender.

It's possible we were actually in that second floor flat and I misinterpreted something he said as meaning someone else was sharing the space. I could have asked, of course, but at the time I that felt asking had the potential of making an uncomfortable situation even more uncomfortable. And I was horny enough that I wasn't going to cancel in any case :).

I hired Gabriel Cross once in NYC. Had a fabulous visit at an apartment in Midtown. After the visit he offered me to shower, and I accepted. As I was walking to the bathroom out of the bathroom came........Austin Wolf wrapped in a towel. Gabriel was staying at his place. Had I known I would have hired both of them :p! Now, I see OnlyFans videos from Austin Wolf in that apartment......

That would be an interesting duo...there is like a foot in height difference between them. From what I have seen, Austin Wolf has a rather nice apartment for New York standards. Gabriel is literally some of the best canoodling that I have ever experienced and he seems like an honestly nice guy. Though he is a bit long in the tooth to be claiming under 30 :-)

I am a masseur, and I would defiately love the idea of being able to rent a place at a reasonable nightly rate that could have a separate bedroom where I could sleep and a room with a massage table and linens avalable to use. This would be so great to have arrangements like this in a number of cities if there are any other guys who have massage tables and space to host traveling masseurs and mopen to me having clients there.

There is plenty of porn out that with Austin & Gabriel (just the 2 and with others), mostly fans stuff but you can find it if you are creative with your internet searches
