I received my first two seasonal greeting cards today. I have not mailed out cards in years. Anyone here sending out Holiday cards? If you do, do you include an individualized message?

I have always sent out Christmas, Kwanzaa, and New Year's cards. This year will not be any different except for my writing a few lines to each of the recipients.

For Thanksgiving, I sent out cards to my immediate family members, my first cousin and her family, and to my closest friends. These times warrant this type of connection.

Taylor Swift’s cat pussy-themed Xmas card is a thing to behold

Louisville public radio DJ Kyle Meredith released a snap of Taylor Swift’s Christmas card this year — no, we didn’t get one; and yes, we are shattered — and not only does it reference her most recent album, July’s “Folklore,” but it stars her cats Meredith Grey On no! her cat is suffering from covid!, Olivia Benson No Elliot Stabler? and Benjamin Button Will he be a kitten by next year?.

“Wishing you a season of moments so wonderful, they become folklore,” the card reads. “Love, Taylor Swift and everyone at 13 Management.” The cats are suitably decked out in holiday gear that includes a Santa hat, scarf and glass of presumably festive spirits.

I send Rosh Hashana cards and Christmas Cards. My list for both has dwindled over the years as people have sadly passed away. I always include a personal note. I already mailed one card that has to make its way to Europe. The rest will go out on Monday. I used to buy my card at Papyrus Card's after Christmas clearance sale. I need to come up with a new source now that they've sadly gone out of business.

haven't sent any cards in years.....mostly because of the decline in the tradition and the whole internet thing......I still get cards from the usual bunch, but that has very slowly declined........I'll sometimes call up the people who send me a card and offer them "greetings" or I'll send a Happy New Year card if I'm feeling remiss........the received cards also give me a chance to update addresses (for the exceedingly rare time I send a letter to them).......

I send and receive a small number of cards each year. Either with family who I don’t see often or ever and a few friends from decades ago that I have kept in touch with but see only infrequently. It’s nice having these links and Christmas is the only occasion we correspond this way. And I have a few cards I can put on display in the living room.

I send out about 150. I love the holiday, and this is a chance to have a bit of contact with people. I rarely do Facebook or the like.

There is something special about getting actual physical mail from a person

I would find that somewhat extravagant. Here stamps cost a dollar and cards typically about 5 dollars. 150 would set me back a thousand. I can hire an escort for an overnight for that. :)

I put off sending the usual cards to old friends in other countries, because I didn't have the correct postage. Today I discovered that the old friend I usually send a card to in Switzerland has died of CoViD. Now I'm thinking that I should try to find out about others before I send the cards I'm still holding.

I think somewhere in my jam packed storage closet I have a box or two, maybe more, of Christmas cards.

I always send Christmas cards to family and close friends, and they reciprocate.

Normally, I only send a few cards that I hand pick from Hallmark to far away family members. But, this year I'm sending out about 25 from a box to friends/family I have not seen due to this damned pandemic.

Thanks for the reminder - I need to sit down and address them. I bought them weeks ago.

of course I always write something personal below the text besides signing it.

since March I have been sending a weekly report about our life in the pandemic to a dozen recipients who would normally be on the card list, so I see no reason to send anything to them this year.
