Wishes for Happy Holidays to everyone here. My Christmas wish is that Guy Fawkes and Daddy will find a way to make this site and Daddy’s viable for the coming year. My hope is that January 2nd I can return here to learn, gripe, praise, and laugh. If that means I need to subscribe, so be it. I want to Thank Guy Fawkes, and all the Forum Moderators who have made this place right at the head of the line of “frequently visited sites”. Enjoy the break and I look forward to interacting with you all in the New Year.

This site was here for me when I had no idea of what to do or where to go. It's done so much for me--from "finding" me the right guys to "telling" me what to do with them. I've made personal friends, and learned "a ton". Thank you ALL--but, of course, especially Daddy. So, here's to hoping for the best and a continuance of this forum in 2019--so newbies can get as much as I have. Happy Holidays to all. I will miss you.

I do believe Mr. Fawkes when he says that it's just a month hiatus - because I do think he would have leveled with us if the site were truly coming to a permanent end. And if it takes a month to upgrade and to give the powers that be a well-deserved vacation, then so be it. I seem to remember that we've had something similar happen before, though maybe not for as long as a month.

 

We can handle this. We can be self-sufficient adults, and wish each other fabulous holidays, and go away for a month and then come back refreshed in 2019 ready to go at it again with an upgraded site, a rested owner/staff, and maybe even some new and practical thoughts on how to have a politics section out here lol. (And based on today's news, I bet we'll have lots to discuss there once we get back, lol.)

 

I'm grateful for this site for many reasons, including certainly the ones it was originally intended for. And I trust we'll have more to be grateful for in the new year.

WilliamM I am neither stupid nor illiterate thus I definitely understand why the reviews today aren't as explicit as they once were. But my point is that as they are now they are absolutely worthless. Who really cares that some quasi reviewer had a lovely time with a lovely escort who looked exactly like his lovely photograph -- what nonsense Why even have them? Yes the political forum was raucous but politics in this country is and always has been, since the birth of the nation, a blood sport. People obviously enjoyed it so why try to make a tea party out of it. If the administration wants a tea party all they have to do is send posters down to their local senior centers where they can join conversations about their aches and pains, and their bowel movements. Further more these ever increasing closures of the site have become all too frequent and a pain in the ass. If FOSTA/SESTA have castrated this site then, to my way of thinking, it just might be the time to seriously consider closing it all down . Maybe it is time for us all to move on.

I hired a decade or so before this site existed, so I never relied only on the reviews here, as much as I approve of this site (A+).

I can say without hesitation that the welcome I got here, and the reactions to my, admittedly verbose, saga were both deeply touching. I value the friendships I've made here, and will miss spending the holidays with everyone, and relating any news about my family to those still following my personal threads.

 

But whatever's needed to help it return in January should be done, and the staff should enjoy their break. So Happy Hanukah, Merry Christmas, Peaceful Kwanzaa, and Happy New Year to everyone. As my father always said to us kids on New Year's Eve when we were too little to stay up, "See you next year!"

When I started the Requiem for a Forum thread, I did not know about this. That thread was immediately hijacked by a unfunny series of Huckabee Sanders banter, though in regard to that banter, unfunny seems redundant

As a result, I will post here and hope that it makes a return in 2019.

My wish for you all is a great life experience. This site has helped me have a great life experience for that last 10 years and I hope it continues to add to our lives.

I'm going to miss the forum for the next month, and miss you guys too!

 

I have been thinking about how my use of the forum has changed:

 

1. I've been watching the gallery postings to gawk at photos of beautiful men; although I still look at my Tumbr feed, if I'm limited for time, I will check the threads I'm following here first.

 

2. Sometimes weeks go by before I check Daddysreviews.com reviews; I search for threads here for current information on a provider that may or may not lead to PMs back and forth for more detailed information!

 

Here is my wish for improvement of the forum:

 

Would it be possible to find a way to aggregate threads on providers so that prior threads are more easily available?

 

Those of us who have been here awhile recall past threads, and then can reference them on a current thread, but if there was some way these were easier to search, it would provide a more convenient way to get current information on a provider and contact members who have had experience. I'm obviously not an IT guy, and cannot imagine how this might be done (especially with name changes from time to time), but we've all seen threads where someone has created a new thread "411 on Sam Smith in Los Angeles" and there earlier threads that already provide a wealth of provider information.
