Obviously, one of the benefits of RM is hiring guys that are out of your league.   Are such guys equally accommodating on Grindr?
Also, one of the things I like about RM is no strings are attached.  Are the Grindr guys more or less likely to get the wrong idea?
Like I said, I’ve stuck with RM thus far, but I’ve often wondered about it.

I've toyed with this too, but I don't have enough time for the RM guys that I like.  Why take the extra risk?

    Ah...ok. Got it.
You should have said so !
You just have a bit of a learning curve ahead of you.  I just went through this recently, mentoring one of my old wrestling buddies from high school who left his wife of 25 years and finally admitted to himself he was gay.  He didn't know where to start, to meet cute young guys, because he's now a 50 year old beefy man.
So....I can say that if you're an older man who likes younger men, you aren't necessarily out of luck. There's someone for everyone, as they say.
We all know that most men are very visual, and so the Instagram hotties look for other Instagram hotties. But not every gay man is wired the same, and there is definitely a community of young pleasant looking guys who want more than a quick hook up / don't feel they can attract Instagram models  either & find "dad bods" sexy.
I had an older client many years ago (gay man) who used to flirt with the waiter when we'd be out at dinner. He was in his 60s ( me in my late 20s) and I always marveled at the number of times he's get the young handsome waiter's digits.  I asked him once how he gets up the nerve...his answer was iconic: "What's the worst that can happen ?...they just say no".  *classic*
He was so right.  NEVER assume you can't attract someone until you try.

Then maybe I get more attention because I'm not gay.
    My Grindr heading is
    Bi Top Dad.
I get dozens of responses each time I sign on.
My age (51) is clearly posted.
I don't agree that you are drastically limited over 50. You may just need to lower your expectations about getting exactly your type.
    That's what Rent.men is for .

    Definitely it's you
I'm 51 and young guys flock to my Grindr profile.
There are TONS of young guys who have daddy issues who crave the attention of an older man.
The only advice I might give is that you will occasionally find guys looking for a sugar daddy. So be clear about the nature of the hook up. I find the more muscular beauty-boy types will engage in flattery, tell me I'm hot and then ask for cash after they have me setting up a meet.
Otherwise there are tons of average Joe's and skinny twinks who like to be ripped apart sexually and cuddled afterward and told they were a "good boy" for being such a whore.😉

I agree with the comments above. Meet in public first to make sure it's all legit and safe. And run away if he starts asking for help with gas or rent.

Meet it in a public place like a gay bar.  You'll be fine.  Let him call you Daddy and enjoy the ride!

Not necessarily a red flag, there's a pretty sizeable (pun not intended) cohort of guys who like mature bears. Just keep your expectations reasonable until you've met the guy in person and keep your wits about you. If you have the chance to meet in public first time, that could give you a chance to size him up before going to your place.

This thread makes me doubt the legitimacy of the opinions expressed about other escorts. Junior is one of my favorites. Unlike so many escorts, he really tries to go out of his way to make sure you have a good time. He has a ridiculous number of reviews on both RM sites in a short period of time; he is nothing short of fantastic.

Just like the rest of us, he is not perfect, but his attitude towards his clients is spot-on. I received no gift and I did not have the same experience with his rates. What he charged here was normal for the area. Going forward, I'll read other reviews on this site with the knowledge that I should expect a certain degree of pessimism in anything that is said.

Hmm, I wonder why it is so hard to get escorts to join this board... Just a thought.

A few weeks ago, I went to see a massage guy.  I knew something was going to happen because his profile said "mutual touch encouraged."  I had no idea I was going to get fucked senseless, but that's just what happened.  He said, "I knew I was going to fuck you the moment you walked in."    I said, in all honesty,"Nobody has EVER fucked me the way you just did."   I want back a week later and he did it again.   He could get to be a habit.

Let’s be honest, there are plenty of places to get a legit massage for $100/ hour or less.  I go to one of these places all the time.  $85 with tip.
If you’re on here, you’re looking for a pretty special massage and that just costs more.

It has something to do with candles, incense, feathers and maybe a chicken... but I'm not sure that anyone really knows for certain all that it entails.

I suppose I've assumed it was staring at him in awkward fashion while he danced or stripped. I require a little more TLC than that.

From the amounts of cash that were cited, $40 and $80 in two cases specifically, we're not talking about RM hookups. Or if we are, how do I get these rates?

More and more I am finding it difficult to crack a joke without some triggered member claiming some horrible injustice of racism, sexism or some other "-ism".  I remember when I was younger and I had some older gay friends. They were always good for a laugh, poking fun at life and the various predictable behaviors of various people and social groups. NOW, if you even begin to make a joke about anything, some crazed child abuse victim immediately shuts you down and calls you some sort of "-ist". My question to this Forum is when did gay men stop being fun ?

MP has changed (or, reinforced) how I feel about the community, not my business.
A social media generation is using it as a way to get famous, to get their dramatic story out and get views.
This is not the '80s AIDS crisis.  People actively and quickly recover from this.  The comparison is insulting.
The community has always needed to learn that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
