It’s a common mistake. Jamie He, Him, Masseur, Wielder of Cock.
-
I had a client book and then change his mind because of concerns over the pox. I’m vaccinated but he was still too anxious to go ahead, so he cancelled. If he was going to be too anxious that’s fair enough, he wouldn’t enjoy it fully, but it’s a shame he feels like that. My view is that there’s always a good reason not to do something. Sometimes though we put things off until a better time but the better time never comes. My instinct is to say yes first and then think rationally about why not. Be careful, but not to the extent that you don’t experience life because of the perceived risks. The right time is always now because tomorrow might never come…..Except of course if you’re booking a massage because I encourage people to book ahead to ensure availability!

If you like him just take him at his word and enjoy the time. He probably does expect you to pay for meals and other entertainment but if you’re ok with that then go ahead. Do what you’re comfortable with, it seems he enjoys your company so go with it.

Hi @jetlow I just checked your rating. You’re a 9. Well done.

If you’re in the dark, ask! No decent masseur would object to that question. Yep, pandemics suck… but on the other hand I suck too and that’s much more enjoyable.

When I retire from sex work there’s a book to be written. Names and locations will be changed to protect the innocent…sorry, the not so innocent 🙂 -

He’s messaged again…more pics. Is calling me ‘mate’. So it’s obviously not a gay sex situation he’s looking for 😂😂 -
Yay! Starts to book flights…. Although @Redwine56as I’m British it will be an orderly queue that forms outside the hotel 😉.

So do I!! I’m keeping with this one because it’s quite entertaining. My sideline to sex work is writing. I’m gathering plenty of material from my exchanges with him. If the meet goes ahead I reckon it will be an interesting one. -
I change the towels every time using fresh towels. Also put paper on the table. But latex gloves? No, I couldn’t massage wearing latex gloves. There’s no feel, no connection. I’m vaccinated now so feel more confident to give massage. Being a sensual masseur I do get tested every 3 months at least, and am on Prep so I’m used to managing risk. This pox is just another risk to manage.

You’ll be pleased (in an ironic way) to hear that I'm currently engaged in a conversation by text with a prospective client. The ‘conversation’ has extended over a few months (big gaps between his responses, sometimes they’re instant, sometimes a few weeks pass), and I think I’ve answered the same question at least 4 times. I’ve also given my website twice, declined to offer a discount twice and sent a pic. He’s still thinking about it. I guess it doesn’t take me long to tap out a quick reply but it is tiresome, and if he does eventually book (I give it 10% chance) I know exactly what the session will be like! -
A forensic search would rather detract from the ambiance of what I’m trying to create! But I know what you mean. I do discreetly check for things already (having asked at the start if the client has any conditions or injuries) by visual checks when he or she is on the table- things like eczema or varicose veins (can be bad for massage) and of course I discreetly check my clients bum before rimming and his cock before I’m sucking him. Now I have to be on the lookout for pox too! Joking aside you can notice a lot of conditions on clients. Moles that need checking, spine curvature, misalignments, lumps etc. I have suggested to a couple of regular clients that they get moles checked out. It’s all part of the service!

That’s the problem when the line becomes blurred. If he’s a friend there should be no charge. If he’s charging you it’s not a friend situation is it? (even if he’s discounted his rate). It sounds like you need to regularise the situation with him: friend or client but not a ‘bit of both’ because that can’t work. I had a client become a friend. I stopped charging him. It was too awkward to charge. I told him, the situation is different now so I’m not charging you. It saved us both any difficulty. He remains a friend.

A proper way to do client deposit?
+ Jamie21 replied to Yoyotonodo's topic in Questions About Hiring
Yes I guess that’s true. London market is different. But I do get a lot of enquiries that don’t follow through. People saying “I’ll book next month” and “I’m thinking about it”. I’m not charging deposits to enter into a discussion with me. I’m fine to talk about the session with potential clients as long as it doesn’t become protracted or turn into a sex chat line service. Often they just want reassurance about coming because they’re nervous and inexperienced so it’s not a problem to me to help those guys. -
I’m vaccinated now, they said wait a couple of weeks for full effect. I was told the risk is greatest by going to sex clubs or parties where you’ll be touching or having sex with lots of people. The risk from having a massage with a vaccinated masseur is much much less. So I’ll be avoiding sex parties for a while but I’m still seeing massage clients and am being even more careful about keeping things clean. People can make their own evaluations of risk but I want to do as much as I can to reassure clients.

A proper way to do client deposit?
+ Jamie21 replied to Yoyotonodo's topic in Questions About Hiring
In the past few years I’ve seen over 600 clients, I can recall about 4 that no showed. It’s very rare, and in my view not worth the disincentive that a deposit will provide to potential clients to apply a deposit policy. If my experience of no shows was worse then I’d consider it. I have occasionally (around 3 times) asked for a deposit if the booking is involving a lot of travel for me or if I have experience that the client is flaky. As for providers not showing up, you’ll get that if you engage amateur providers. -
It’s quiet. It might be because it’s August and people are away (my August is traditionally quiet). It might be because people are struggling to afford treats. It might be fear of pox. It might be all of those reasons. It is tough!! Send money 😉

My rates are on my website and on Rentmasseur (although on Rentmasseur the flexibility to show different rates based on time seems to be limited). The difficulty of putting rates on advertising sites is that you need to remember to update them when you change your rates. Last year I increased my rate for the hour massage (because my studio increased their room rental rate to me) but I forgot to update one of the sites where I advertise. A client contacted me via that site and during our conversation I said my rate to him. He questioned me because it was more than the advert. Of course I gave him the advertised rate but I did quickly update it!

This the problem with menu pricing, or as I call it the low cost airline model. There’s a reasonable looking base price but to get anything nice you add on all the extras and it becomes expensive, and annoying. I think it’s fair to charge extra for some things, like out calls (because of travel time & costs) and perhaps if the client wants something significantly outside of your core offering, but otherwise have a time based price that includes everything you’re happy to do. If you’re not happy to incorporate it into your massage then don’t offer it (even at extra charge) because you won’t do it with any sufficient degree of commitment. Your client will be able to tell. I think this is why some masseurs include optional extras with big charges attached. They really aren’t wanting to provide the activity but figure that they might aswell monetise it to compensate for having to do it. If you aren’t comfortable massaging naked simply don’t offer it! Do what you’re happy to do, within an overall price. That’s the fairest way for you and your client.

A proper way to do client deposit?

Generally clients won’t want to pay deposits, that’s my experience. So I don’t do them. Only if a client has booked a 4 hands and they’re not a regular client will I consider a deposit (if I get signals that they’re a bit flaky). Setting up a 4 hands is complicated and if the client doesn’t show up it’s wasting 2 masseur’s time. -
Yes I agree. You’ll get a better massage usually from someone who’s first a masseur than from someone who’s an escort and is doing massage to pad out the time. Masseurs are invested in giving massage so that’s their focus. Of course they’re good at massage, and the sensual elements and will go to intimate areas then your massage will be arousing and seductive, and your masseur will ensure it includes an appropriate climax.

When I’m with my American clients I use my best English accent, it always works a charm. Of course an Englishman will be able to immediately identify my class status as soon as I open my mouth…so it’s less useful with the locals, they can tell I’m just a Londoner. But a foreigner can’t tell and they assume I’m very posh (which indeed I am!). Of course if they want a cockney when I open my north and south then I can do that too. And now I realise it’s straying off topic so just to keep things straight…I’ll do the accent for a tip, ok?

The not wearing socks is something I can’t abide, especially with dress shoes. You’d never see that on Savile Row or Jermyn Street.
-
In Milan I felt totally under dressed even when I had my best outfit on. I tried so hard but effortless style just seems to be something only Italians can pull off. I just looked English regardless of what I wore. And yes…you can usually spot an American (you usually hear them first) and then you see them. I don’t know what it is but they just don’t blend in to the background. And then you find they are extremely polite in person. I’m not used to being called Sir (unless it’s in a Dom/sub porn situation!!) but Americans seem to like using the phrase…”yes sir” when responding to requests. It’s very charming to English ears. When someone is in a different culture it’s difficult to know what’s allowed etc so I’m not going to judge because a lot of what seems inappropriate behaviour is just through innocent mistakes. I find it quite funny to hear of some of the faux pas that happen.

Hilarious 🙂 I live there (if you count England as Europe….many don’t but that’s way off topic!). I’ve traveled all over Europe many times, to about 15 different countries. Never found people to be arrogant (even the French…) And to stay on topic, my European clients tend not to tip as much as Americans do. The tipping culture is different here.
