SirBillybob got a reaction from TruthBTold in Brazil's president says he doesn't want the country to be a 'gay tourism paradise' because 'we have families'
One might base decisions on a number of factors.

How much douchebag politicians can say with impunity, pandering to their base and getting press. Remember that Bolsonaro and Rio mayor Crivella are generally thumbs down on any diversity and are happy to deflect from the realities of actually serious out-of-control social problems.
Re: orientation and transgender, 15% of the general population lacks acceptance for a defined 10% of the general population. This performance record still outranks American attitudes in favour of LGBTQ

Preponderance of violent hate crimes committed on LGBTQ nationals. Terrible performance record, as is the alarming overall national homicide rate.

Decriminalization of sodomy. Done and dusted. Not so in some other countries.

Professional regulatory licensing bodies. They have a very dim and intolerant view of pathologizing sexual diversity, and shit-for-brain therapists are shunned.

Socioeconomic status of the homosexual minority. More represented in the top tiers of wealth, consumer privilege, and quality of life compared to hetero.

Societal and legal advances since 1980 favouring acceptance and rights protection. Less than Europe, a little less than Canada and Australia, on par with Latin America, better than USA.

How much a country is already stereotyped as a gay tourism mecca. Brazil in top 10? Top 3? Likely gets under the skin of local evangelicalism, homonegative fundamentalism. The perception of gay-magnetizing likely amplified by absolute numbers outside of statistical reality, for example breadth of Pride attendance, as well as the relaxation of self-presentation towards fluidity in all forms of identity during Carnaval madness.

How much a country wants to inflate overall tourism and taking measures for same. Muchly.

How much vitriolic hatred and disapproval that is front of mind within the individual and directed to select soccer players and teams compared to other minorities.

What repeat visitors say ... Personally, I am not gifted with foreign language skills but that does not pose an impediment for me when in Brazil. I worry most, like anyone there, about being robbed, though I have not been targetted over many trips. As a gay sex tourist, being defined as "other" by straight trade who are able to suspend their anxiety and differentiate their MSM behaviour as more performative than self-defining viz orientation, actually works out fairly well. The complex balance of easy cash access and financial expediency, as well as the capacity they possess to distance their motives from mine because of the very compartmentalization of orientation that otherwise potentially yields discrimination paradoxically works for some of us. To equalize socioeconomic status they draw selectively on the collective psyche to help create a narrative that mitigates the negative implications involved in prostituting themselves. It is a complex phenomenon to explain, but I think that the ability to reconcile commercial sex with conventional heterosexual roles is somewhat more uniquely advanced for these men. Muscle worship is a foreign concept; it is a point of pride to top johns skillfully and impressively. Simply put, my impression is that gay-for-pay there is more easily integrated into what is occupationally viable. Mind you, it may be absolute numbers, as in other examples. A vast population may statistically better sustain the existence of a miniscule minority that nevertheless exceeds the actual inventory of other destinations. Not to mention that a small proportion of men can sustain physiological arousal out of synch with subjective sexual cue preference.

The appeal of travel to a densely populated place, with sex trade infrastructure capturing the trickle-down effects of variables supporting sex play experiences in line with my self-serving fantasies, is always going to far override the transient mouthing off of a temporarily tenured blowhard.

It is funny but in practice it works very well. The agent just pretends he is the provider, has perfect English and is concise, and guys who use an agent always are punctual and totally concentrated on the client, not the phone. It's strange that the ones who use agents are non-English speakers only. It makes it possible to see more clients and happier clients.

Several of us here who visit Prague a lot finally realized there was an agent involved after providers told us. We never knew at all. I guess we should have wondered why the guys spoke perfect English online but not a word in person. Then I met my Argentine non-English-speaking friend and found in South Florida the latinos also use an agent for language purposes. He also pretends to be them and charges 10% and sets their clients up perfectly.

My Czech friends have either stopped using or lost their agent and believe me, it can be chaos and very hard to set up appointments. Sometimes they will ask me what something a client is asking online means and I realize I wouldn't do that work for anything. Would-be clients are way too often time-wasters who just want to talk.

But if you can find an agent through non-English-speaking friends, it's well worth the experiment.

    Czech one out.

It has come to my attention that Sauna Sunnyday across the river from Basel's main art museum may be a place, like Paragonya in Zürich, where one might hire for play.

First, two online escorts, one a Czech muscle dude mentioned previously by other posters, gives it as a location for an upcoming Basel visit timeframe. Second, Spartacus Sauna Guide mentions Massage by Porn Stars in its bullet points in the description. Third, the club's photoset depicts at least one picture of an older average looking client flirting with a young gorgeous built stud.

To me, it seems that many handsome young men on IG are insecure about their looks/physique. They need validation. When I was looking to meet guys on a regular basis, I quite liked that. I found that giving them some nice compliments on their face/body and their travel plans made it easy to open talks about us meeting for a date ;-)

I really have no view as to what rate is appropriate. Like any man, I enjoy a bargain.

Discovering a new item of quality is thrilling. And if it’s available at a discount to the market-price, that’s ideal. But long ago, I decided what matters to me is getting exactly what I want.

I delight in a handsome face, a ripped muscled body and a compliant nature. I value a man who is eager to meet my needs and enthusiastic about fulfilling my desires.

Price is my least concern because I’m able and willing to pay. On a long-term basis, I feel I have a strong sense of what it will cost me to have my wishes met in and out of bed

People always tell the OP he is missing out by not getting with a sex worker, because he is so hot. My only surprise is that he did not qualify always and hot with "literally".

Imagine the poor guy getting routinely bombarded with this message. Friends, family, other hot bedmates, colleagues, tradespeople, the local barkeep, barista, gym buddies, etc etc, spontaneously asserting: "U r hot and desirable; get thee to a queer brothel and pony up some cash for an escort!" Upon entering from Brazil, the border patrol agent sizing him up ... "bae, you are fuckin' smokin' and our local escorts will think it is such a waste that you are giving up that sweet ass without paying!"

It must chip away at his sense of objective reality so that he believes it to be one of the most pressing life goals to be met. Furthermore, trapped into this agenda with nary a clue as to how to procure, notwithstanding having tripped into a related forum with thousands of playbook cues.

I am surprised no one pointed to the intrinsic lack of logic of this statement. Is it perhaps due to English being your second language?
Perhaps you meant people always tell you to try escorting because you are so hot?

Otherwise, why would people conclude that due to your hotness you should hire an escort?

I think it would be a stretch to call either of your examples "sociopathy." I guess you did clarify it as "sociopathic traits." I only took Psychology 101 but from what I recall and what I read up on, sociopathy is a bit more persistent and extreme than what you experienced. Sure sociopaths lie but so do a lot of people and your clients lies could be to protect the feelings of a loved one or to maybe impress you, which is actually not really sociopathic. Sure some sociopaths maybe are trying to say hurtful things, but it's hard to even guess if that is the person's intention (maybe he was just nervous or bragging).

This Mayo Clinic article has a bit more about Antisocial personality disorder (the closest diagnosable thing to psychopath or sociopathy, which are not actually psychological terms).

SirBillybob got a reaction from hypothetically in How many of us would say some clients are sociopaths?
The math, then, is the same proportion of escorts and clients alike are full-blown sociopathic at the epidemiological prevalence rate.

Sub-sociopathic patterns slightly differ ... (Some) Escorts may alter or embellish facts to their advantage as a natural and understandable component of performative labour. (Some) Clients may alter truth or reality more specifically within the context of hiring, more so than in daily life, as there is implicit latitude in a substantially priced role-play scenario, possibly leading to the perceived fallacy that clients as a whole may be somewhat over-representative of pathology compared to the general population.

This is an interesting thread. And I admit I have been made. Upon reflection, I qualify as situationally sub-sociopathic. In other-words, the entire enterprise is benignly crazy-making. Thank god for money and money shots.

Not having something because it does not exist or you are not aware of its potential existence is far easier than having something but then losing it. A potential monger reaching out to your services may create the illusion of you aready having something of value in that exchange, that is, a meaningful slice of the financial gain that your work is about.

Game theory, experience theory, and decision theory all come in to this.

It seems that you are labouring extremely hard to avoid losing something, at the client's window-shopping level, as if that were similar to having fee payment denied or stolen from you after the work is done. In other words, both you and the equivocating, vacillating, inquiring, 'flaky' client are playing not to lose something of perceived value, as if those utilities were identical. The objective $ is identical but its position is different.

Compared to how other businesses run, it is somewhat astonishing and impressive how much time CSWs invest in client recruitment dynamics at a time-succubus on-call or personal level. From hours on a street corner or biding time in a brothel (more historical examples) to shitloads of written communication with mongers.

Once a monger reaches out, his anxiety about losing something of value that he already possesses often escalates and overrides the anticipation of winning a pleasurable experience that is commensurate with the accompanying financial loss. Providers often get caught up in this.

Be organized. You must know by now all of the collective monger questions. Do up a fact sheet, manual, or Q&A format info guide to expeditiously shoot off to an inquiring monger. This written summary will be longer than your ad and require more of the monger's attention span. It will not alleviate his stop-loss anxiety and will lack the personal touch and the possible thrill for him of a free window-shopping exchange. However, let it go and do not engage further with repetition. This may help amplify his opposing anxiety about not winning a pleasurable experience. He will have all of the info you are willng to provide and he alone will grapple with the worry of loss. Mirroring/replicating his loss anxiety will not add one iota of gain to the likelihood of scoring a paid booking.

You may decide on an arbitrary set of images to append to the written guide.

Consider learning something more about how memory and actual experience impact theoretically on a monger's future decisions about hiring. This will require research on your part. If you can subtly reference these aspects in your summary manual, that is, identify clients' struggles with stop-loss play choices, it may give you an edge. Adding the utility of empathy to the utilities of money and orgasm.

In my non-entertainment business prior to retirement, the above strategies freed up my time. It was impossible to assess its impact on client recruitment volume but it alleviated the anxiety about spending valuable non-compensated time or psychological energy closing the tiresome deal.

I was just looking to orally service him, front and back, for an hour. He's young enough to be my grandson, so I offered him $200.00 for the session, which is less than a RM escort would charge here in Boston.

Interestingly, his Insta first name and contest name are not the same, but it is definitely the same guy, because his placement rank, related Insta content, and official contest pics all line up. He has since packed on some off-season bulk. Freakin' hot. JO material. When I go to Colombia I will see if he is available (his current plans NYC and Dallas). Good to know his status here because he also may have buddies in Colombia who 'get down' for worship.

I just got back yesterday after a long weekend in Montreal (Friday to Monday). I went to Stock all three nights and had a great time each night. Friday and Saturday the club was very busy. Sunday somewhat less so but there were still plenty of dancers. I always keep a visit to Campus open as "Plan B" if things are slow at Stock. Let's just say that I never made it to Campus the whole weekend.

As happens at any strip club you visit anywhere, there are always going to be a couple of dud dancers. That was indeed the case at Stock over the weekend but the vast majority of dancers were hotties that you would want to take for a lapdance.
