    🦨 well, now this 🦨

Come, fucking, on. This is ridiculous on both sides of the Atlantic. The FDA has been slow walking the Astrazeneca vaccine approval for a couple of months now. Combine that with the fact that nearly all travel restrictions within the US are gone, it's insanely stupid to restrict travel from countries with higher vaccination rates than half the states. If northeastern states are allowing brain dead southerners to travel in, we can let Britons in. Worse comes to worse, natural selection kills a few thousand of them and we are all better for it.

Knowing the color scheme in Britain is arbitrary is just as ridiculous. Now politics is going to play a role, too? Wouldn't a country be more than happy to let foreigners in to spend beaucoup bucks while keeping their citizens home to keep spending? At this point, making it difficult for vaccinated people to easily travel to your country only hurts your country's economy.

Europe has it right. Let Americans in and have them spend. Why should they care if the US continues it's stupid travel ban policy? Again, dumb, unvaccinated Southerners are allowed into the well vaccinated northeast willy nilly. Open up!

  2. I have 5 days scheduled with a guy for August although who knows whether England will let me in without quarantining. We have already talked about some of things we are doing outside the flat. Except for theatre and a tour I purchased, there isn't much of daily plan yet though there are things we are planning to do. I did give him some of my likes and told him to plan a day as a surprise for me (it's his hometown and only my second visit).

As much as it is fun to go out and see things, I could spend 5 days staying indoors playing games (sexual and not), introducing him to old movies, tv shows, and music I like plus whatever bedroom activities in which we partake.

We have already discussed his personal time that he needs for himself, but I am going to circle back on that since we discussed it prior to the postponed trip last year. Whatever personal time he needs per day is fine since I need personal time myself anyway.

When I did an overnight with him a couple years ago, it went well. I cannot see this being anything but great.

what i mean is locked down to foreigners. there's not many countries on the "green" list, certainly not the US or most of Europe. i may hop over to Europe but I'm leary of connecting in London because I don't know if one can even transit Heathrow terminals unless there's a shortcut connector inside passport control. and airlines are hesitant about ticketing even if it's a firm connecting ticket. hopefully the US will be "green" on July 19, but there's no way to know.

Should I become religious for a month and pray for this or will the universe know I'm doing it for selfish reasons? 🤔

  4. I really don't know how I will survive emotionally if I cannot go to London in August. I know I will but I will be distraught for a good while especially since I will have no idea for when to rebook for a second time. With all the studies showing vaccinated individuals, especially ones who received Pfizer or Monderna, being nearly immune from severe disease and death from all variants so far, countries should be allowing fully vaccinated people to travel freely. I don't mind a testing requirement, but forced quarantining seems excessive.

    @Islesguy

my biggest concerns would be the UK or US having a Delta variant surge or the US not hitting a good vaccination % to qualify for UK green.

otherwise UK should open more in a month. but that's a big "otherwise".

Yeah, those are my concerns. I cannot see the US, as a whole, getting much above 70% with one dose in the next month. There will be areas that get 70% fully vaccinated like the Northeast. We do need to drop our travel ban also.

  6. I already have my flight booked from back in January. I'd hate to switch it only to get stuck somewhere or be forced back to the US when I am still allowed to postpone both the ticket and the hotel if necessary with no charges.

  7. I will only see vaccinated individuals. Two of my regulars are (one was a day ahead of me in his schedule same vax location) and I saw both of them. I wanted to see another regular but he told me he wasn't getting it any time soon. I told him I will see when he does or the risk of the pandemic ends. I was seriously disappointed he wasn't getting it since I was willing to travel a couple of hours to see him.

Once I met a witch/medium whose tarot reading routine included getting in trance and ask the spirits for help to read the carts so in her case the cards were only some kind of channel but not the only source of information. Fucking scary and accurate for some predictions that so far have been completely fulfilled, and just as in @E.T.Basscase, she also predicted the year of my death at my request. She didn't want to tell me but I insisted. Nowadays I somewhat regret I asked that question.

I try to avoid having clients ask health related questions especially if they are currently going through something. For me, it's too uncomfortable to read. I will never ever make a death date prediction for anyone. As a child, I was given a "death year" and it fucked me up for a couple decades. Not opening that can of worms for someone else.

  9. Like I have posted previously, none of the regulars I see have raised their rates for me. If someone went up 10% year over year, I'd be fine with it. Any higher and I'd reduce the number of times I see them a year.

And @Rod Hagen, more and more I need to visit LA again and hire you unless you decide to visit the better coast and come to NY.

  10. I just found about Bastian Karim from a wrestling website that I am having film a custom wrestling video with him as one of the performers, so I'd definitely hire him.

To add to my list from back before, there are a bunch of guys Gabriel Cross films with for his onlyfans that I would hire (Leander, Oliver Hunt, Apex Aiden and guys of similar look). I am seeing Gabe for my birthday this summer and asked him to surprise me and plan the day. Wouldn't it be magical if he plans a threesome with one them? I doubt it, but I can dream. 😉😂

Let's that that thought a bit farther, then. Since Crowley's Thoth deck responds well to questions about the forces at play in a situation, (as opposed to discrete events and people,) we sometimes engage in what we refer to as future-casting. When the querent is faced with several choices that will pull their life in clearly different directions, we do a series of readings. For each one, the question is framed in the form of 'what will be the result of making [choice X]?' The readings then provide a glimpse of the dynamics that result from each choice. It's a kind of visualization tool that helps to put the querent into different probable futures, enabling them to get a feel for what their life might be like in each case, and that helps them to make their choice. Have you ever tried that sort of thing?

I think I imply that in a sense. I tend not to make outright predictions on anything especially since most of my clients don't actually ask their questions out loud for some reason. Not knowing the specifics of what they want to know makes it hard to be specific myself.

I usually ask my clients to focus on one question or one area of their life they are confused about. The first two cards they pull indicate "how they got to today;" the middle card is "what is happening in that moment;" and the final two cards are "where their mind and energy is taking them based on today." I am a believer in free will so I always tell clients you have the power to alter the future by the decisions you make based on the energy you are projecting. Most people have been pleased with my readings.

The most recent tarot reading I was part of was done by Deb (my wife) and I, as part of our New Year tradition of getting feel for the upcoming year. Notably, it said there would be a death in April, which turned out to be our friend Bill/Daddy/Guy. The first reading she did for me was at college in 1971. She laid out the cards, snatched them up and refused to tell me what they said to her. (And no, it wasn't a ploy to get my interest.)

For some people, a reading is mechanical, using the interpretations provided with the deck. For others, that's a starting point, but they look at the imagery on the cards and develop their own interpretations over time. There are even readers who use the cards to help the client focus on their question, and get psychic impressions for each 'position' in the reading that's not necessarily anchored to the card.

And each type of deck is different. Some seem to respond better to questions about specific people, places and events. Crowley's Thoth deck, in contrast, provides a reflection of the forces and influences at work in the person's situation, like the political struggle in a family or business setting.

There are also different kinds of reading layout. A simple three-card reading can provide the past, present, and future of the situation being asked about. The Celtic Cross layout provides information about various aspects of the person's question, and can be used to focus in on any one of them, but that's a discussion by itself.

This is how I read when people ask me to read their cards. I have a deck I bought in college while I was studying the Celts. I was walking through Barnes & Noble and I was drawn to a deck called The Celtic Dragon. Everything about the deck appealed to me. I use a very simple 5 card spread where the client picks the 5 cards and I pull cards as I read to further delve into the reading. While I do start with the stated meaning of cards, I tend to let my intuition draw me to the specific symbols in the cards that presenting themselves as being the important ones which can be different reading to reading.

  13. One other thing I will say about rates for sessions is if a someone is a regular hire of mine and they don't give me any updates on their rate when I book them for subsequent sessions, I operate under the assumption the price is the same as our last meeting if the time I am booking is the same amount. So far, I have had no issues with this.

  14. I have no issue with people who provide services instituting cost of living increases yearly or so. In no universe since the 80s have prices for living doubled year over year. No one I know who owns a service based business has ever doubled a fee year over year. I'd politely explain his new rate is too rich for me and if he comes back with a compromise rate, go from there.

    Lots here to unpack.

Re: "with a friend", that could be awkward too depending on the friend.  Not all friendships will thrive or survive that kind of experience.

Re: "not the typical businessman daddy type", there are many types I wouldn't sweat this one

I'd try to focus on someone who will make you feel comfortable.  At the risk of stereotyping, maybe someone who's a little older (not early 20s), a little less perfect (not a chiseled god), and has been doing this work a few years with good reviews.  They should be mature and experienced enough to make you comfortable (while draining your balls 😃).   I'm sure there are lots of folks on here who would give you a recommendation.....

I have written about my first hire here. While it was with someone most people here would consider a chiseled muscle god, he was also well known and we'll reviewed and his ad specifically stated he good with first timers and like guys of all sizes and shapes. I felt pretty good about my choice and he became a regular of mine.

I stayed in a hotel a week ago and couldn’t find paper pads and a pen to leave a note with a tip. It was my first hotel stay since Feb 2020, and it didn’t even occur to me that the missing pad was a pandemic precaution. Thanks for mentioning this.

No problem. I always have pens on me so the no pens in the room wasn't an issue, but the missing pads were a problem. I know a lot of places removed almost anything that could be touched by multiple people like coffee makers. I haven't checked, but the bibles might be gone also. The TV remote has been in plastic bags also in some hotels.

  17. Number 22, regarding maids stealing, is something I tell people all the time. Maids aren't going to risk jail for a twenty laying around even in a casino hotel. Never once had any money I left in room "disappeared." I mark tips with a note under the cash so they know it's theirs and that is all they ever take. The problem now is I have remember to keep paper on hand because they have removed the pads due to the pandemic.
