I was hoping @Jamie21could chime in on this or other folks from the UK. My last appointment in London with a new person asked for "a bank transfer" which I thought was odd. Is that the done thing?

As someone from the states, I am accustomed to paying cash, though if I was going to do a bank transfer is this a internal UK bank thing?  Is there a popular payment app used by UK / EU providers? .

i personally would never use a a bank transfer for privacy purposes.

Also on my last visit there since there was such a gap because of covid,  I had a a bunch of paper, non polymer £20, which were not taken too well, fortunately, said provider just wanted to get paid, so I settled with a mix of US$ and €).

I have even had a foreigner who was once in London not want Scottish £ but we won't get into that.

I am typically a cash payer but my last session which was in London and was a multi-day session. The provider was willing to accept cash in either US$ or £, but also offered me an app called Wise that provides a really good exchange rate in a money transfer. It's a British based app.

I'm not into sending payments through apps, but the exchange rate was really good and I wouldn't have to carry any cash above spending money, so I went for it. I wasn't worried about privacy as he pretty much knew everything about me from previous meetings and I would have to get his info to make the payment. It worked out well and I'm considering getting a debit card from the company as you can make currency exchanges in multiple currencies. It would be helpful since I go to Canada at least once a year.

I keep hearing that the test after landing requirement isn't being well enforced most places and even the test-before to the US is just to get on the plane really as Immigration isn't checking it much.

My return test was checked at the ticket counter/baggage drop off at Heathrow but nowhere else. I guess if you skip that, you might get away with it.

I was thrilled when the UK with no length-of-validity passport rules opened up starting tomorrow. Then i learned they require a PCR test before departure and one after arrival , on top of the US requiring an antigen test to re-enter the US. The UK's finance minister says this is ridiculous and is asking it be changed. I can get into Amsterdam with no nothing and passport good for 3 months but Czech wants 6 months and a PCR test within 2 days.  I'm just trying to easily position in Europe or UK and let my friends come to me. Not easy.

In the meantime what if a test comes back positive !?!

I got into London with just an at home antigen test. For some reason I never got the results of my day 2 "home" test even though I got a message the sample was received. Didn't get a phone call or anything while I was there. That one may have been a PCR test as the swab was longer, but I'm not sure.  Really had no issues.

Made sure Gabe was masking as I was the whole trip. I'm not sure if he normally does, but he was fine with it while I was there.

  5. Took my birthday trip to London last month and had a great time. The people who own the flat where we stayed offered to extend my booking at a discount for the extra days. Since the cost of changing my flight was cheaper than I originally paid, I took advantage and stayed two extra days. Went to the British Museum, the National Gallery and the Churchill War Rooms. Also saw Ben Franklin's house. We went to two shows, Joseph and Come From Away. Went to the Wolseley on my birthday for afternoon tea. I cooked dinner dinner a couple of times and did some baking.

Gabriel was great and even bought me flowers for my birthday.

Please feel free to PM with questions.

On RM, you can have a profile as a client. But I never heard of an escort browsing those pages, or if they even can.

There is member provider here who reached out to me after reading my client profile on RM. We have had good conversations but haven't met up yet because we live in different states. Hoping to meet him at some point.

    Congrats !!

Haven't been out of US for over a year but i found the (then) free Mobile Passport the gov't has worked very well. Faster than Global Entry or Clear. Domestically Clear is certainly faster.

For premium cards i stick with the Ritz Carlton. 450 fee offset by immediate 300 airline credit which Southwest and American giftcards work on (have to say they were baggage fees). Plus Priority Pass for up to 3 and primary car insurance, plus Global Entry credit. Not open to new apps but most Marriott cards can be product changed to it by phone after a few months and the new Bonvoy card is giving 3 50K nights free SUB.

if you look the part (many of us do) asking for a wheelchair gets you through immigration and customs almost immediately no matter how long a line. and i don't know how anyone over 30 makes that long long hike then endless line at terminal 4 JFK. i always ask for a wheelchair there- because i have to- and am through in 2 minutes. one privilege of age.

I do as well. I hate that terminal with a passion. It's amazing how domestic Delta flights land there instead terminal 2 which is Delta exclusive.

CLEAR membership is normally $179 per year.  If you have a Delta SkyMiles number, you can get it for $129.  (It used to be $99 but had gone up a year or so back.)

    $700 is absolutely high, however:

    • $179 CLEAR
    • $200 airline fee credit (can be used for checked bags, in-flight food, airline lounge day pass or drinks, etc)
    • $200 hotel credit (when booked through Amex travel)
    • $240 digital entertainment credit ($20 per month for services like Peacock, Audible, SiriusXM, NY Times, etc)
    • $200 Uber credit ($15 per month with an extra $20 in Dec.  Can be used for ride share OR UberEats)
    • Access to Amex airport lounges (only useful if you fly into destinations where a lounge is located)
    • Priority Pass Select (gets you into other airport lounges for locations without a Centurion Lounge)
    • $100 Saks 5th Ave credit ($50 credit every 6 months)
    • Automatic Gold hotel status with both Hilton and Marriott.
    • Automatic Rental Car status with major providers (Avis, Herts, National)
    • TSA PreCheck reimbursement ($100 every 5 years)

It's a card you definitely need to evaluate if you can use enough of the benefits to determine if it's worth having.  However I personally breakeven on CLEAR, Uber, and the airline credit as long as I visit a lounge at least one a year.  (Most lounge day passes are around $50.)  That does not include the extra points that can be gotten or the potential sign up bonuses.

    Thanks for the info.

    In my email tonight…

    Application Status: Approved

The U.S. Department of State approved your application for your passport book. We're now printing your passport book and preparing to give it to you.

You requested expedited service when you applied, which we are currently processing within 6 weeks. You should receive your passport book on or around 07/30/2021.

Your application locator number is XXXXXXXXX.

Also… if anyone has an American Express Platinum card, it now will pay for your CLEAR membership. If you don’t have an Amex Platinum card, if you signup for a free Delta Skymiles account you can save $10 per year.

How much is the CLEAR membership? I really want the platinum Amex but the $700 annual fee is high.

I heard on the news last night that even expedited passport apps are taking months to process due to their tremendous backlog.  Stay on top of it especially if you have travel plans.

I think posted somewhere my passport arrived early this month

Gabe is the best.  Tell him what you want, he will make it happen.

I could tell him but that would defeat the whole purpose of it being a surprise lol.

It's moot right now anyway as it seems I will be postponing again. Maddening.

  12. There was a guy who used to post reviews on the review site of orgies with providers he had. I think he lives in Oklahoma or maybe that's just where he held court. I don't know what happened to him.

I saw Ian in an Off-Broadway show about the Peanuts characters as older children. He played a germaphobe Pigpen who was constantly sanitizing his hands. I met him after the show and shook his hand which was so smooth. I was in heaven looking into his eyes. This was soon after he was killed off on Lost.

  14. I have had way too many surprising overnights in the Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta. Such is life as an exclusive Delta flyer. The least surprising one, in a sense, was the day of the northeast blackout in 2005. I was in JFK when the lights went out. Thanks to some ingenious gate crew members, we left after a 5 hour delay and I made it to Chapel Hill in time for a business thing the next day.

Do you feel the same way when your surgeon, masseuse, gym trainer, or any other professional out there who bills on a per-session basis requires a deposit?  Or is this a special business standard that you reserve exclusively for sex workers?

Requiring a deposit has nothing to do with assuming that a client is a scammer and everything to do with assuming that things come up and people choose not to honor their commitments, as does every single other business out there who requires customers to pay a deposit or honor a cancellation policy.

You should *absolutely* learn from clients who are scammed out of deposits by learning to do your research better and sticking to well established escorts who won’t scam you, who you can verify thru their online presence on multiple websites including this forum and their social media.  Not by saying that no escort is trustworthy enough for a deposit because some people somewhere got scammed.

As mentioned earlier in this same thread, I don’t require deposits for most meetings.  But I would consider it a strike against anyone and would likely not meet them if they directly expressed that they will never pay a deposit to an escort.  It’s just plain disrespectful in a world where most independent business professionals who work on a per session basis have deposit requirements or cancellation policies.

No service based business I have ever used has required an upfront deposit especially medical professionals. I was an employee of a service business that charged on a per session basis and they did not require a deposit nor does a family member who owns such a business. This blanket notion that everyone running one of these businesses requires upfront deposits or full fee paid before services are rendered is utter nonsense.

People are free to do what they want with their businesses. Unless I am seriously dying to hire a particular escort, any upfront payments, deposits or otherwise, are strictly a no from me. The closest I got to that was a guy who wanted me to put his money in an envelope inside the hotel binder in the room before he arrived at the room. He didn't take the money until after the session but did leave a half hour early. I was pissed I paid for two hours and didn't get the full time.

So do I. In fact, every illegal alien I know has been vaccinated. I did yesterday meet my locksmith when I had a problem with one of my locks. He's an Israeli immigrant, probably in his 30s. He was wearing a mask. I said "Haven't you been vaccinated?" He said "I just got my first dose yesterday. I only got it because I need it to go back to Israel." There were no barriers to his getting it other than that he thought he wasn't going to personally benefit from it. I suspect that in 99% of cases, people who haven't gotten the shot yet in the US are simply people who couldn't be bothered--or idiots who believe ridiculous nonsense that's pervasive in social media. The idea that it's because they have children is complete hogwash (actually all the more reason to get vaccinated--to protect those who can't).

Given Israel's high vaccination rate, I suspect they have little tolerance for assholes whose only thought is "What's in it for me?" I applaud their policy on organ donation. If you don't sign up as an organ donor in Israel, you're not eligible for an organ should you need one. The beauty of this system is that organ donation doesn't cost the donor a penny, or any sacrifice whatsoever. It's also not against the tenets of any religion. The only reason not to donate one's organs upon one's death would be an unusual personal dislike of organ donation. And if you dislike organ donation, you'd never ask to receive an organ, would you?

This is very interesting considering in order to be buried in a Jewish cemetery, you cannot have any mutilation of your body including no tattoos. I also wonder if there is an exception for people who cannot donate to due medical conditions they have that would make their organs unacceptable for donation.

Many of us were lulled by the lockdown into thinking we had plenty of time anyway. Today I was finalizing a get-out-of-lockdown trip to Europe when United splashed some nasty red exclamation marks on my passport page.

My passport expires in late January and many countries require that your US passport be valid for 6 months after you commence travel. Fortunately most European countries have a sort-of 3-month rule. (Evidently the UK has no rule; it just must be good for the proposed trip dates.)

Expedited renewal passports with the extra fee usually take 4 weeks. Currently they are taking 10 weeks. And you have to surrender your passport while you wait.

On good news although I heard some countries are wanting insurance proof now, i found Kaiser and many Medicare Advantage programs include foreign coverage and have that online. Also AARP has low rates.

I applied for my passport renewal last month on an expedited basis last month so it should be in by the end of July. Plenty of time.

I remember when Florida tried to stop people arriving by air from New York (which made a lot of sense at the time) but when they started stopping cars on I-95 looking for New Yorkers it was over in one weekend. I could just imagine if DC/Virginia/Maryland closed borders for a year lol; they're more the size of European countries like Slovakia, Czech and Austria than NSW and WA. Many people had all but forgotten those border controls were ever there.

Rhode Island tried to do the same thing. It didn't last long. With the exception of CT, NJ and for some reason PA, NY did institute a 2 week quarantine on anyone coming to NY for a few months but never officially closed the border.

Early on in the pandemic, I was one of the crazy people obsessing over every little way to protect myself. Outside of mask wearing and hand washing, I don't see the point of all these controls especially for vaxed people anymore. The science is clear about how well vaccines work. One thing that continues to be abundantly clear is governments are both too slow to begin mitigation efforts prior to a disaster and too slow relax them when they science says you should.

Open your damn country and let me take my birthday trip in August!
