Kris_Canada got a reaction from Hen in Escorts Who Can Self Suck
Artur is a prince of a guy, have worked with him multiple times. He's the real deal, genuine and passionate and yes, as you said, better looking than his pics.
We carpooled to a mutual client's place a few times, had good conversations on the way. And the bedroom antics between the three of us were hot, of course. 😜 We sure do love giving four-handed massages and double-stuffing our dude. Or I filled Artur while client watched. 🤤🥴 We fit a lot into our 2-hour sessions. And into each other. 😁
I don't recall getting to see him self-suck. A request for next time, see if he'll put on a show. 😃💦

Subjective/matter of preference, of course, but I hope most guys with cool/cute/unique ears keep 'em as-is and don't get 'em pinned. 😁
There's enough sameness and yearning-to-be-clone in the queer world (hey, the Tom Of Finland aesthetic and twin-cest and boyfriends, partners, & husbands looking like each other has its appeal for me too, at times), we don't need more of it. Whatever works for someone, it's their body, but I hope people feel like they can have a perceived oddity and own it and not necessarily need to alter it due to outside pressure.

Physical perfection doesn’t really exist. But in terms of the work done, It’s a matter of taste, isn’t it?
For some, it’s “beauty, super-charged”
I find it distracting, personally.

I've seen some escorts who look like cartoon characters but not even 1% of them do it and usually are the 'non-binary" type. Plenty of examples out there but again a minority.

It's funny. I saw this topic but didn't click on it all day because I thought I knew what it might be referring to, but I was wrong... but only by gender. I can only imagine the funhouse mirrors these people must have in their homes to think they look good.
I erased myself to transform into a plastic bimbo Barbie
"The ideal look I want to achieve is the most plastic, fantastic over-enhanced sex doll," she said.

True as it can be,
Barely even friends,
Then somebody bends (over),
Unexpectedly....

[Mods may move this to a better suited location; here for now]
I write this as a recent observation. This year, half of ad-based meets with new fellows, counted on one hand, had a unique feature I had not previously encountered. I found it offputting and sadly unnecessary.
Young guys with great physiques, face pics not at all suggestive of the disturbing characteristic: obviously major plastic surgery, badly done, you know, the cliché train wreck-grade cosmetic procedures that we sometimes observe in media specific to the topic.
Sufficiently handsome baseline features, it seems, with the more standard orthodontics correction or veneers (the latter I think is often overboard too).
The latest, that prompted the tipping point for writing this, swollen cheeks and bee-sting lips that rendered speech difficult to make out, as if had cotton stuffed back in his mouth. Young, I would say around 25. Older photos, ostensibly early 20’s depicting an attractive visage.
Another chap, I would say about age 30, had his nose apparently pared down to a much smaller version of its original self (think MJ), out of sorts with jowls that seemed swollen and, again, the “duck lips” look. Not discernible in ad photos.
These two biggest examples really nice men.
I realize that trade aspects themselves may reinforce the pursuit of flawlessness that can itself go south.
I wonder if I just happened to meet them on cosmetic carve-up day. That said, I think it is NOT a very widespread phenomenon and these encounters were the luck of the draw. Other ad-based guys this year had non-shopped vid erotica with no closeup indicators that would portend a history of plastics consults. Gym-fit, well-groomed, charming. Actually, better looking in the flesh from my POV.

If no sex deal on your phone, then if the cop book you (and it's still happening) then they have no proof. So you doing it right, leave all the dealings on rentmen.
Fun legal fact, hell of lot easier to get a warrant for your phone, but practically impossible to get a waeey for your passwords so they can access your websites.

I guess you have a versatile approach to contact them! Instant message first and later texting

Kris_Canada reacted to TorontoDrew in Why Do Some Providers Avoid RM Messages?
I use RM messenger for first contact. That way I can leave a review. I know some providers never check it so if a few days pass and they haven't read it I send a text.
I had one provider not check for a week. I sent a WhatsApp message and heard back within the hour with a proposed time

Glad to have found this topic.
As a provider, I connect with clients on an array of platforms. But at some point prior to meeting, we need to have a real nuts-and-bolts conversation about your wants/needs/desires/expectations so we can both determine if we're a good fit. At some point a frank adult conversation is necessary. And I think it's important to remember that - as much as acceptance of sex work has grown - we're still dealing with some legal and cultural taboos. And privacy is still paramount.
So I try to only have these nuts-and-bolts conversations on WhatsApp or - ideally - telegram. And it's amazing how many clients balk at transitioning to one of those apps.
If you're a person looking to pay for private adult time isn't it in your best interest to have an encrypted texting app? Something where both parties can clear the entire chat? Somehow this doesn't seem like an unreasonable expectation all around. Am I wrong?

I agree. You can tell a lot by the medium someone chooses to contact you by. My older clients phone me to book. They never initiate the booking with a text but will respond to my confirmation text. They never use email or messenger apps to contact me.
Younger / Millennial clients seem to use WhatsApp or Telegram. Those kind of messaging apps.
Gen X tend to email or text. Sometimes they message me via Twitter DM.
Of all the methods I prefer it to be via text or WhatsApp because I can then respond discreetly and at the appropriate time. It’s not always possible to answer a phone call and if I’m in company or in public it’s not easy to discuss services over the phone. However if I’m somewhere discreet then a phone call is best if the client has a lot of questions.

My exception to this rule is that a provider that is well reviewed here and on RM, but says text me on their profile. Haven't had a bad experience that way, but I have had to do the "let's message each other so I can leave you a review" thing.

For the initial contact with a provider, I prefer rentmen messenger.
Once on rentmen messenger, if I get a feeling of trust or that the guy is not a flake, I switch to text.
People forget that there are a lot of bad providers advertising with fake photos and down right lies. Many threads in the "deli" section of this forum discuss bad providers (fakes, thieves and worse).
If the initial contact is via rentmen messenger, safety is somewhat preserved. Once a response is received from the provider from rentmen messenger, I have no hesitation swithing to text and giving my text number.
Remember, we are not dealing with a typical purchase or product. Hiring a provider is NOT like going to a store and buying a product. We are dealing with a sensitive situation. The rentmen chat preserves a little safety until the client feels comfortable in releasing a text number to someone they do not know.
Again, do not forget how many times in this forum is an alert given to warn about a bad or fake provider.
A little caution is not inappropriate. If a provider finds rentmen messenger not to their liking, it is time to skip that provider and go to the next provider that is appealing and will go along with the reasonable rentmen messenger function.

Same here. The big problem I have with using it is that I don’t receive notifications. I have the app push notifications turned on because I want an alert when someone is trying to contact me. I am more than happy to respond asap, but I never see the alert unless I happen to be on the RentMen website and see it pop up.
Does anyone know how to get consistent, reliable push notifications from RentMen Messenger?
I have email alerts turned on too, but some of those come through weeks or sometimes months after someone messaged me. Not exactly practical.
I don’t enjoy using RentMen Messenger, but it has improved a bit over time. I much prefer texting because I know I will see it sooner and can respond more quickly and efficiently that way. I understand clients have various reasons for not wanting to text, so I want to make myself available on RentMen Messenger.

As a client - I find RM works best for me.
I was working shift work until recently, and any hire had to fit into my schedule and also had to be at a specific time when my husband was not aware of it.
So I found that RM communication works best for me.
I hear what providers are saying BUT this is a service industry and if your clients want RM messaging well thats where you should be.
I have always been upfront in my first message, I am *** and *** and looking for *** and *** on *** are you able to assist?
Happy to move it to personal messaging later if thats what we need to do.
Just my input but the old adage that the customer is always right - well its not always true - but it has a ring about it

RM chat function is notoriously unreliable and basically, sucks.
I have an auto-reply with a personal email address given. It's pretty straight forward.

There are only so many local people hiring in any given city, and they don’t hire every day, every week or even once a month, necessarily… Some people only hire once a year because it’s considered a bit of an extravagance and luxury cost~ Maybe they have a wife or partner and can’t always get away~ Maybe they work full time or own a business~
Typically, Clients don’t always just hire one single person ongoing~ They are saving up for and hiring multiple partners and also okay with their own non hire fuck buddies~ It’s rare that a provider is hired by one single person every week or every month, every year… A provider is chosen out of numerous other providers by a limited/fluctuating number of hiring Clients~
You can also rely on incoming travelers… but again, city size and travelers interest varies from city to city~ Economy and weather can impact all of that~ Disease too~
That may mean that as a provider, if you wanna be hired more frequently, you need to travel to other places outside of your location~
I travel nearly 90% of my time, (or more), across the states and abroad~ I do not have other income and so this truly is my full-time profession, even though I am not being hired every day~
A lot of things come in to play… Things that affected my appointments the last couple of years: Covid, post traumatic Covid stress syndrome, peoples long Covid, deaths from Covid… monkey pox… RSV… Uncertain and fluctuating income with respect to Clients, Client aging/illness and death, increased travel expenses, Hurricanes like Ian, atmospheric rivers and cyclone bombs, canceled flights, lost luggage, train strikes… and more~ Despite careful planning, these things happen~ (didn’t even mention basic work expense overhead and changes in accommodations quality).
I love what I do, and it is my profession/career but, it’s more than that… this is basically who I am as a person. I identify as a Male Geisha Escort Companion Intimate~ I am what I do because of who I am~
I’ve known some of my clients for 23 years and I’ve seen a number of them pass away, especially in the last three years. A number of them I sat with while they were passing. There’s a lot more involved in escorting as a profession then I think many people consider.
It’s definitely much more than sex…

I find the RM messenger cumbersome but it has some value as a filter. Though I‘d prefer texting via conventional means once the appointment has been arranged.

I checked with RM. No review will be accepted if the client and escort haven't communicated through RM. I'm a Premium member and rarely communicate through RM, but I do after a good session when I want to submit a review. After the escort responds to that subsequent message, I can submit a review.
