Well said. As with SSRIs, I think the market will be bursting with better versions in a few years.

Interesting point on bariatric surgeon and negative articles. It will be interesting to see where that field goes now that non-invasive alternatives are available. As for the negative articles, I wonder how many are coming from insurance industry shills as well.

My diet plan is called Assrimpecs… I basically rim ass for 1/2 hour and lick some pecs for a few mins and then feel Completely satisfied~ I typically lose approximately 4mls each time… (whatever that weighs).
It’s a plan I can stick by and there’s no Max out limit… eat as much as You want~
The side effects are: a boner~
     Assrimpec… Works like a charm~  It’s magically delicious~

    Unfortunate, yes, but capitalism.
It's not just upper class gay men who can pay for access.  It's anyone with the cash.  This is America.
The same situation is also happening to those who truly need adderall vs those who have vanity scripts.  The shortage is kicking the mental shit out of a lot of people.
Silver lining:  The drug companies will ramp up production (unless they see an even greater profit from keeping it in a shortage).  This hopefully won't last long.
There's also competitors who will formulate their own, perhaps better, version.
    Gotta love a free-market economy

I have used Mounjaro, a similar drug. I am not diabetic or pre-diabetic. I chose to take it for weight loss (and insurance did not cover it). It is not a fad diet type of thing like we’ve seen in the past. It works very well (along with choosing a proper diet and plenty of exercise). I lost 50lbs using it. My mother recently started using it and it’s going well for her (she’s 1 month in).

I think some people do have ill side effects from these drugs. You have to start with a low dose and ease into to make sure you won’t have these bad side effects. If you do, simply stop the drug. It might not work for you. From what I understand, it has worked well for lots of people, way more than those you hear about in the news with the bad side effects.

For me, it suppressed my appetite. I didn’t crave foods and almost had to remember/force myself to eat. It slows digestion so you feel fuller longer. It’s an amazing drug and experience for someone who has always loved food and indulged.

I lost my weight over a 6 month period, so it wasn’t anything too fast. I think I avoided the “Ozempic face”. Lol. I also play a lot of tennis, so I think the exercise helped me from losing too much muscle mass.

Currently at Blow Bar. There are a couple cute dancers but I’m having a hard time enjoying myself when 60% of the crowd seems to be straight women and straight couples grinding on each other. All the girls are screaming and the dancers are definitely focusing on them. Probably not the right spot for me.

I lived in Iran in the 1960s when I was in my '20s. There was lots of consensual gay sex going on with high school - '20s - '30s young men, as girls were pretty much kept under lock and key. And then there were the bathhouses, where most everyone went on a weekly basis for cleanliness...and where a massage in a private room was 25¢, and another 25¢ to get fucked by the masseur. Let's just say I got a lot of massages. Illegal, immoral, whatever...they don't pay any more attention to their mullahs than we do to our ministers and priests when it comes to cock.
This was during the Viet Nam war, when the US military put out a guide to brothels in the Far East, for G.I's on R & R. Both Taiwan and Bangkok were notorious for sex tourism, so I returned to the States via Asia. In the cab from the Bangkok airport to my hotel, the cabbie handed me brochure after brochure for brothels with women. Seeing I had no interest, he reached into his glove compartment and pulled out half a dozen brochures for the brothels with young men. I picked out a brothel, went there, and had a choice of maybe ten sexily-dressed boys vying for my attention. I payed the "madam" the fee to take him for the night. When I returned to my first class hotel with him, the doorman and other hotel workers smiled ear to ear. My boy told me they would have been very disappointed if a client ever came back to bed alone. We spent three days and nights together, even went to his house and met his mother, whom he was undoubtedly supporting. All so terribly civilized.
Bangkok is still a great place to hire. Taiwan less so, perhaps because gays are so open and accepted there you don't have to pay.

Istanbul does have a scene.  I would use standard website: RentMasseur, HUNQZ, and Jock2Go.  There are gay bath houses but I have not been in a few years.

I have noticed that you can be disappointed when you hire for sensual or erotic, I always hire for therapeutic, which often morphs into sensual or erotic.  If it doesn't it's OK because therapeutic is what I hired for, after all.

Train travel in the U.S. was quite popular in the 1940s.  People regularly traveled all over California and the West via train when it was much more sparsely populated than it is today.  It's not that Europe has more density than the U.S, it's that the U.S. has more travel options with a great Interstate Hghway System and lots of airports.  As roads become more congested and flying becomes less of a luxury and more onerous, train travel will once again become popular.

Only when we get the population density of Europe will train travel be viable in the US. Those few areas of the US already with that density have successful train operations. It's a nice dream, but geography, economics, and selfish Americans doom it.

I recently saw an interesting interview with a homeless advocate.  He works in LA, not SF, but I'm it's true everywhere.  He said that many assume that the homeless lost their housing because they have a drug problem, but he said many women become addicts after becoming homeless.
Virtually 100% of homeless women get raped.  Many turn to drugs to numb the trauma of rape, and many get addicted to meth to help them stay awake and walking around all night, when the risk of getting raped is higher.  He didn't have numbers or studies to back this up, just his personal experience, but I can see how it happens.

Not charging sounds like an ethical decision and good customer service from the provider, given the situation.  Kudos to him.
I had a similar situation once with a provider who could not perform.  He also offered to not charge me.  I gave him some money right then and there for cab fare.  While I wouldn't hire that man again for me, I admire his business practice of not charging for a less than stellar experience.
A good lesson to learn from this is that with some forms of communication, less is best.  Especially don't send text messages when there is any negative or serious issues to discuss, as they can be blown out of proportion.
If I had wanted to see him again, I would have waited a day to let the negative feelings from the encounter cool off, and then text him to schedule the next appointment.  If I had no intent of scheduling with him again, I would just let it go and stop communication.

This is what I wrote about him on another thread: I saw this guy recently and had a different experience. His massage was incredibly strong, which I like. And he seemed to be pretty skilled. But the rest was weird. Not friendly, an odd vibe. Apartment in an upscale building but there’s no furniture. the massage table is in the kitchen; he instructs you to put your clothes on the kitchen counter next to the sink. The walls are lined with white, poster-size paper with black Sharpie writing like a business brainstorm….or a serial killer’s plans. When it came to the ending it was also odd - I asked to suck his nipples as he jacked me off and he said no in an angry tone while forcefully pushing me away. Not a turn on.

It never came up in the course of this discussion as to whether the son is a minor.  Although it may not change the dynamics of the situation, I feel If the son is an adult, he may be better able to deal with the let down.  I would be concerned to back away slowly as this will be an enormous disappointment to the kid.  He will feel as if he did something wrong.  Not an easy solution.

FWIW I’d simply say to the son that you’ve now met someone, a man older than him, who is rather jealous and doesn’t want you seeing anyone else.

Explain to the son that he’s done nothing wrong. You just have to sever contact while you’re exploring a relationship with this man. Express the hope that he’ll find another nice guy or a boyfriend.…and perhaps add that over time, things may change.
