They're good to know even for clients, as the prices aren't bad. I've used the space on numerous times to hire masseurs who did outcalls only, since I prefer to be worked on on a table or perhaps my home situation didn't allow for a massage visit, so I'd rent the room myself and tell the masseur to meet me there. I've actually gotten some masseurs to use it for their incall location as a result. And many new masseurs use it to start off their massage biz since it affords them a full setup without their own investment, esp if they just arrived in NY, etc.  If it hasn't changed hands, it's run by a massage therapist whose screenname is tanrtricmaster or something like that.

You can actually see the schedule of rentals, i.e. when there are other people using the other rooms (at least at the point you schedule one) so you can determine whether or not you want that time frame for yourself if you use it.

This is the core of the problem. In most of the US, making an appointment with a new guy is risky for both parties. 
If I say what I want, I'm committing a crime. If he says what he'll do, he's committing a crime. If he says what it costs, he's committing a crime. Then there's the service itself...
If he does what I hired him to do, he's committing a crime.  If I pay for his work, we're both committing a crime.  And afterward, if I disclose the details, I could endanger his business and his freedom.

gotta say, following Colin Simpson's been a hoot this year with his fights with wife. Now that they're back he's deleting several but he kept me on one (he'll be back). It got viciously worse for four days then they made up next day. Of course that was April.....

Nik is a wonderful, sweet guy. I first saw him at that massage place on 14th street. Then afterwards at his place in the UWS. He looks like his photos. He has a table set up in his studio apartment and there is a shower available with a clean bathroom. Nik is quite slim, lanky and tall and his technique is very good with evidence of training. He uses long gliding strokes during the session with occasional stretching. He massages in his underwear during the session. He adds sensual elements throughout. RENTMASSEUR.COM View my profile on RentMasseur.com It was a pretty disappointing massage.  I went ahead and went for the 4 handed massage with his twin; what a mistake.  The twin spent, no joke, 20 minutes of the hour on my right calf and foot.  Barely massaged anywhere else.  What could have been a very sensual experience was a fully clothed, less than mediocre massage.  And typically when masseurs come to town, they get at least a semi decent hotel room - this was at a sketchy motel where I was concerned about my car the whole time - and it was daytime.  I’d definitely look elsewhere.

I've had more than one massage where the masseur used a free pandora account.  So, every ten minutes or so, I got to listen to a Home Depot commercial.

i had a massage recently where the masseur WOULD NOT SHUT UP.  he was unbelievably chatty from start to finish, talking super-fast and not taking a breath.  never had a massage experience like that before.  he talked about what tv shows he was watching; his night out at last week at the bar; his various hookups with porn stars; recent changes to his diet; concerts he was going to; etc.  none of this could be classified as friendly conversation, this was just him with the 'on' switch flipped.
for every song that came up on his playlist during the massage he would be like "omg, i totally love her!  what's your favorite betty who song?"  and then he would be discernibly annoyed when i would mumble something like "sorry, i have never heard of 'betty who' and i don't know any of her songs".  a similar thing happened when he brought up drag race.  "who's your favorite this year?"  and i said i don't watch drag race, and his response "you don't watch drag race!  you have to watch it to support the community!  i can't believe you're not watching it!"  and it was clear that he wasn't just surprised that i don't watch drag race, but kind of pissed off about it.
the whole experience was this horrible, nonstop firehose of words.  every once in a while he would say something like "ok i need to shut up now." and then about five seconds later he would start again.  definitely for me the most annoying massage ever.  couldn't wait to get out of there.

I don't know if folks saw my teaser in the Lounge for the new review site, but with the new system we will have the capability to have multiple categories of things to review.  This will include things such as:

Within each item will be the ability to have reviews.  Again, since different categories can have different types of needs, I can create different questions for the reviews themselves.  Think of the reviews as descriptions of the encounter.  You will have an item (aka the masseur) and then the item will have reviews that describe member's encounters.
Given the progress that is being made with the new review site, I'm ready to start figuring out what information we want to collect.  This is where I need your help!

The global organisation that regulates the erotic / sensual massage industry: The Regulatory Union of Bodyworking has a sub committee (The Terms Unifying Group) that is set up to handle issues like this.
At the last meeting of the RUB&TUG group (as it is known for short) the members couldn’t reach agreement on what the difference was between a sensual massage and an erotic massage. The minutes show that the meeting ended unhappily although it was agreed that in that situation the meeting could not have been classified as sensual or erotic.

OP you committed the number one faux pas around here - confused masseuse (female) with masseur (male). May god have mercy on your soul. 

There are a few important changes that are in the works that I wanted to let the community know about so that there are no surprises and that you can properly plan for them.  
Sometime before the end of the year (most likely in November), there is going to be an update to the Invision Power Board (IPB) software which will require users to login with their email address instead of their display name.  This means if you have to login to the site, you would type in your email address to access the site once that update is applied.  Once logged in, your email address will not be shown anywhere.  You current username will continue to be used once logged into the site to view and post.    
  With the October release of IPB, it will introduce a new feature that allows admins to prune older private messages that have not had any replies within a certain amount of time.  We currently have over 1M private messages exchanged by users going back for 20 years.  This takes up over 1000MB of space within the site's database.  I plan to use the new feature to prune messages that have not been replied to within 5 years.  If you have older private messages that are important for you (for sentimental purposes or contain helpful information), please be sure to save an offline copy for yourself.  You could also simply just reply to the message again so that it has recent activity.  That would automatically exclude it from being pruned.
  As part of my resiliency planning, I've been trying to figure out how the site would continue to operate if something happened to me.  We've seen what happened when Daddy died...  if we don't have someone who understands how to run a website and how to maintain the IPB software, we could find ourselves in a bad place.  Finding people that understand all of this is difficult if not impossible.  As a result, I've been focused on how to remove this dependancy.  My plan is to have the site moved to being hosted by Invision itself.  They would take care of all of the underlying server technology and ensure the platform is compatible with the software.  Any updates could be applied from the Admin area of the site without needing to understand about the rest of the stuff under the hood.  Sometime before the end of the year (most likely in November), I will need to schedule a day or two to take the site offline for the migration to ensure we don't lose any data from the time I start the export until the time it's migrated and restored.  Having Invision host the site is somewhat more expensive than what we're doing today, but I think it's a critical step to ensure the site's continued operations should I get hit by a bus or something similar.   I don't have specific dates yet for the above changes.  The first two changes are dependent on the IPB software being released and me being able to test them successfully before applying.  The last change will need to be coordinated with the Invision hosting team to make sure they have someone available on their side to handle the import after I finish exporting our data.

He was using a Manhattan place for his massage, same as another masseur I’ve been to. He is nice and started the massage in his underwear. When I walked in, he was only wearing an orange thong-like underwear which came off before the session started. He still is defined and have not lost much muscle despite what another forum member said. I was never skimped on time. I’ve been to Steban several times. He’s the other Thai practitioner I frequent. He is very nice, a dancer but since COVID, has filled up really nicely and more definition. He works in the USQ massage place and on a floor mattress. He does traditional Thai but with his bikini underwear (then naked) and I do love it. Really trained and works your body like a pretzel.
