Maybe this is better in a PM as I don’t want to diverge from the original purpose of this thread, but I’ll be brief. First, this was maybe 6 years ago - I don’t know if the guy is still working. Second, my experience here is that commendations are welcome; warnings not so much. Whenever the guy was asked about here afterwards, I would post a note of caution about him overpromising/underdelivering. Describing a bad experience with a well-reviewed guy invites an avalanche of criticism from his fans and supporters. As mentioned earlier, I discussed my poor experience with a highly regarded reviewer (who’s played with many of the same guys that I’ve dated) as I wondered if it was ‘just me’; he confirmed that the guy had similarly ‘avoided’ sex with him. IMO when reading good reviews, it is important to remember chemistry matters and YMMV. Clients differ in their demands and wishes, and escorts vary as to whether they’re great company for an hour but not an extended hiring.

I agree with @GR0981 that @keroscenefire should be able to get within his budget a good guy for a couple of hours with dinner off-the-clock. It’s more than 5 years since I hired but I always enjoyed a BFE. I used to hire for an hour on an initial date to check compatibility as some guys lack social/conversational skills. Then I’d have an extended dinner-date with a good guy in an excellent restaurant. I usually paid $500 (plus the dinner costs), and no haggling was involved, in LA NYC and SF. Wise words @WilliamM If you’d seen him at your gym or met him while playing sports, I’d say “go for it” @joethomas but be honest with yourself about your motives. Otherwise I’d say “tread carefully” as you could end up spending a lot of cash just to be left disappointed and with very blue balls.

Very well put @Monarchy79. This has happened to me once. I’d replied to a polite enquiry from an established poster about a very fit guy I’d dated and it was followed by more specific, detailed questions. I emphasised I’m a top only and he made me very happy, but I stressed YMMV. That poster arranged a date and it didn’t go too well, at one point he said to the guy “you swallowed ML’s loads, why won’t you swallow mine?” It cost me a friendship and it taught me a lesson. I always try to help people here, as I’ve been helped in the past, but now I won’t go into too much detail. I’ve also found that some people don’t trouble to read my thoughtful response; they just want to know “what’s his phone number? what will he do for me?”

Just a small comment: the ‘boys’ are all aged 21+, generally in their early 20s; they all work independently as and when they choose; you do pay the manager but you can leave a tip - management is scrupulous about giving all of the tip to the guy.

I understand, and I appreciate the info even tho I’m rarely in Boston. I’ve delighted in hearing JK sing in opera 3x and in recital 5x. But after his last recital with a full orchestra that I attended, I decided “Never again!” The reason was that in a recital that ran from 7.30 to 9.30pm, his singing was for a total of only 21 minutes! The rest of the time was taken up by orchestral pieces, JK coming and going from the stage, a 30minute(!) interval and applause. And of course the tickets were very highly priced. I remember all this very clearly because a week later I attended a recital by Juan Diego Florez (+pianist) who sang from 7.30 to 10.10pm with only a 20 minute interval and several encores. The best tickets for JDF’s recital cost only 60% of what JK charged. I’ve decided that it’s only worth going to listen to JK in recital if it’s with just a pianist. Then he’s rather serious and sings for a full 90 minutes.

My own view, on an individual encounter, is to ask. My experiences in California, NYC, London and Spain suggest that socio-cultural differences are such that the same labels are applied to wildly-differing activities.

Never thought I’d say it but I have to compliment SD on having the ‘street smarts’ and good sense to attach himself to a rich old man.
