That’s the right attitude @nycboi

Just to update what I wrote in April about the Allianz global travel policy - a friend of mine (who’s 6 years older) just took out the same policy as I have and he found that the cost had doubled!
-
I have an anecdote on this. Years ago, I was pressed as a favour into going on a double-date in NYC by a friend who was interested in the other guy. My friend warned me that my ‘date‘ was difficult and very arrogant. Turned out he wasn’t; he just disliked my friend. My date was a dazzlingly handsome 25 year old and I understood why he was generally known as “the best looking man in Manhattan”. We had a torrid affair that lasted 3 months. One night in a swanky restaurant in Paris, he confided to me that prior to dating me he had hired an escort a couple of times. When I discussed why, he said “why not? I don’t want to waste time going out when I can order in and get exactly what I want” and he likened it to being hungry and ordering in pizza. That’s the only insight I can offer @muscmtl

Excellent summary @keroscenefire. I have often planned dinner-dates and trips with guys, especially as I like to travel. The only caveat I’d make @D21howie is that you should have at least 1 date with a guy before you go out for an evening together. Most guys can be fun for an hour but some guys lack the social skills to sustain it for several hours.

The pic raises questions @TruthBTold If Pietro has found a muscle-worshipper to flex his bicep for, he could at least have the decency to strip naked for his admirer
-
Well found @Skip. He’s a good looking guy. Of course, all the pics are of Yannis Paluan, the BelAmi sextoy. I guess the two critical questions are is it truly YP offering himself in NYC? And if it is YP, will he perform in bed for you as completely/enthusiastically as he has done on film with various other young muscleboys?

How often is a compliment you give genuine ?

Definitely! A good cook is very desirable. I’ve had people compliment me on mine, and many friends tell me how much they look forward to tasting his output. On a side note, my cock is a very pretty shape and I’ve received compliments about it. -
You might consider @Gar1eth that a straight boy who wants to meet older men with money is bound to frequent fashion shows/gay events. It shows he’s smart. It’s an easy and low cost way to meet his target market.

Thank you @Whitman The link was much appreciated.

And what’s the name of this handsome blond who, according to the link above, is nicely endowed ? I can’t find any info on him despite looking at the CF site.

And today Flyertalk reports that Southwest hopes to reintroduce the 737-MAX https://www.flyertalk.com/articles/southwest-airlines-hopes-to-fly-737-max-by-end-of-2020.html?utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=

You made me look at his profile @JEC. You’re entirely right. He’s 23 and weighs only 58kg/130lbs! I’d be scared to top him in case I broke him.

Being older than you @DrownedBoy, I dreamed of David Charvet’s arms pulling me in towards him, with his hands on my butt-cheeks and his mouth pleasuring my cock:cool:

I don’t intend this to be a mean comment @Daverwr but it sounds as if you are overthinking or being very analytical. You need to be more in the moment if you are to enjoy what is happening to you. I wonder if you’ve ever tried meditation? It’s great for relaxing you and calming all that mental noise and stress. It’s easy to practice and takes no more than 15-20 minutes a day when you are learning to meditate. -
Yet when he filled out the Info section earlier, he was 1 inch taller. Invariably I find that a man who describes himself as “very charming” turns out not to be.

Did I miss something @WilliamM ? How does Patti Smith relate to living in Santa Fe?

Oh, memories: I loved the Concorde @wklukas. In the late 1980s, I was put in charge of my firm’s operations in the US and with operations in NYC, DC and San Francisco, I was a monthly commuter on BA Concorde out of London. It felt like the last gasp of the era when flying was glamorous and the food was more than edible. I agree the seats were narrow but I never found it claustrophobic. The service for passengers was exemplary. Once you were seen as a regular customer, treatment was exceptional. I recall one time I was late arriving at LHR: unbidden, they had held the Concorde for me - saying there was no time to check my baggage, they rushed me through the airport and gave my bags to the cabin crew. And, if my memory is not playing tricks with me, for a while BA offered a helicopter service that met the Concorde‘s arrival in JFK.

Pity there‘s no emoji for “sweet”

Not an escort.... But I’ve always been fond of an English saying that an escort or indeed anyone “attracts more with honey than with vinegar”. Accordingly, when I meet someone for the first time, or a friend after not seeing them for a while, I always try to find something complimentary to say to them. When I receive compliments, I always smile and say something like ‘that’s very nice of you to say’. I don’t waste time thinking about whether it’s sincerely meant. -
And last week, British Airways announced they would retire their entire fleet of 747s. I really enjoyed flying on the upper deck as it felt like a rather private cabin. Today I read that the 737-MAX re-certification may come as early as October. I’m with @gallahadesquire as I will never trust that aircraft enough to fly on it.

Very interesting point @xyz48B That seems to be what is happening in Barcelona right now - a resurgence of cases, often involving people who had been infected (some hospitalised) and recovered some time ago, now displaying some odd effects

No, not at all. For me, it’s about similar interests and activities as well as similar characteristics. When I hired, I always went for younger men...typically 21-32, but the age-range expanded upto 40 as I myself aged. Blond, brown, black or red hair made no difference. Fascinating idea tho @orville

I gather half of all NBC affiliates did not carry it. The special was viewed as simply advertising.

I’ve only visited Santa Fe so I cannot contribute, but may I say all the posts here are very interesting and informative. @Topseed articulated many of my thoughts. And I can imagine it being a difficult place if you’re a single gay man. I visited with a handsome young guy I was dating in LA; we certainly never encountered any prejudice but I noticed many people were rather reserved. In marked contrast, we found the Hispanic-Americans we met open and friendly, perhaps because I speak Spanish. We stayed in the Plaza area but we did not like it very much. We both enjoyed visiting Taos and Bendelier NM. @marylander1940 is very right about Ten Thousand Waves spa being wonderful and @Spursy is right that it used to be cruisy. Back then, my young man got a lot of looks. It used to be that you could reserve a large outdoor hot tub and pool with dry/wet sauna for private use for 1.5 hours and we did that a few times. It was a lot of fun to play outdoors naked in the sun but we’d always finish off in the sauna. I’ve no idea whether private use is still offered by the spa in this ‘new era’.

If he was that cute, I‘d have said Yes. Surely he could have cleaned house, done the laundry or helped you with gardening? It’s always useful to have an attractive companion around the house.
