  1. Many say, "Read the room" I add "Read the Rules" Any other patron present can report you both to mgmt, when being overlooked can turn into being shocked and appalled. If you don't mind getting tossed and banned, have at it!
  2. When I read "The Divine Sereen" in the header I assumed that they were yet another unknown-to-me drag queen who had made success and hit the skids. Poor guy. Had to have known that the risk involved in returning could be catastrophic, though.
  3. Gregory Maguire's book is still the best. Unless one hates AltPOV Origin Stories. Or reading.
  4. I'm looking forward to seeing Act II of the stage version presented as a second feature. Having been more impressed than I imagined by the Act I film Wicked, released last year, I don't think it will, in any way, waste my time. If you are not a fan of: • Backstories • Stage Musicals • Movie Musicals • Dancing • Young people • Girls winning • The color green seeing Wicked: For Good will probably be wasting yours.
  5. "In exchange for my fee, I will be getting my junk massaged by whatever orifice of yours I choose, using melted butter for lube"
  6. J - Try "Thanks for getting in touch. I'd like to meet you - can you specify 2 possible time slots you definitely have open? Day and time please. I can get back to you with more info if you give me solid options to consider. It's likely I can make one or the other work for us both!"
  7. When hiring for massage (more likely for me now) the face is irrelevant, because my eyes will be closed. Eye contact is nice when I first arrive and we chat, but once my clothes are off, and I'm face in the cradle, I'm not real chatty, and just listen to his hands do the talking.
  8. 1 client's perspective: Specifying day, time, duration and location first eliminates the doubt of initial "available?" Also if provider has more than one ad (masseur v escort) include the site so he knows which svc you want. Read the profile. If it includes 'same day only' and you like to plan ahead, just move on. I personally like 24-48hr planning, which he may reject 1st time. Fine. just Let him offer rate after availability sorted. And remember, a response is neither guaranteed, nor a guarantee of it lining up. Because humans.
  9. I think "that progressive" in 1880 was perhaps being civil to black people - it was his own party that regarded him as progressive. Likely, he was practical, from a war survivor's POV. And in order to keep it to 4eps, while splitting the story between victim and assassin, political nuance from the book on which it's based probably wound up on the cutting room floor.
  10. I have never requested a provider to help me move a dead body. Instead, I'll find one who hosts, and then deal with it later once Mother gets home.
  11. Death By Lightning - a new 4ep limited series about the events leading up to the assassination of President James Garfield is definitely worth checking out. For Sondheim fans, the name Charles Guiteau is familiar from the musical Assassins. Playing Guiteau, Matthew MacFadyen turns in another great performance in a quirky character role, marrying danger with innocence in that way he has. Michael Shannon in a full beard is compelling as Garfield and totally a yummy daddy bear. Brad Whitford and Nick Offerman also excellent. One historian said that what moved him about the show, was how it highlighted the loss of a truly intelligent and decent leader whose true potential for post-war national healing was never realized, cut short by one man with easily hurt feelings. I agree. Production values, direction, photography and supporting cast very strong. If you're a history buff, or just love facial hair, give it a go and let us know what you think.
  12. You’re new, and yet already you understand the importance of placing service first! Cheers 🥂
  13. Young guys who may not be able to save enough money for expensive corrective dental work (which defines today's beauty standard) probably like their more serious expressions.
  14. Is he just acting, or also producing like he did with Shrinking? It's been forever, but didn't Hung have a mini-arc where Ray tried being available for male clients? Personally, I would hire Goldstein over Jane any day. I doubt this series would delve into the real-world fact that women are rarely on the hiring end of transactions, and that most males who make money as a provider are getting naked with male clients on the regular. (See Also: all previous threads about straight and bi providers) I look forward to seeing what Brett does with this. His take on psychotherapy has been a winner.
  15. I'm happy there's finally been a NY production of this show that makes its case beyond fame as a one-song loser. And I would gladly submit to a good kneading by Scott Bakula.
  16. I assume that a provider's hourly rate factors in the basic costs of operating a solo business, same as any independent contractor. That would include their advertising, and the man hours devoted to handling client inquiry. If you're a provider with lots of paying subscribers for online content you've created, the resulting in-person rate you command is likely high enough to absorb time lost to fruitless inquiries. And, as a result of action depicted online, certain questions (about what a provider likes) are pre-answered. For the rest who don't want/can't afford to be on camera, there is likely a resulting imbalance in time answering questions about meetings. Personally, I've never had to waste time of a provider in this way, because I know what I want from hiring, and I don't contact to plan for services until I've already done proper research READING their ad(s) and seeking further details available here to confirm alignment with my expectations. Picture-heavy ads with few details about the service itself will attract more potential clients than actual ones. Bottom line, it's a cost of doing business of a highly subjective nature for a very niche market. Taking out frustration with this fact on potential clients seems counterproductive to me.
  17. "You're not paying hookers for sex. You’re paying them to leave."
  18. The American Dream™️was a fictional construct invented by those with a lot of money to add a sheen of ordinariness to greed, and for motivating workers to be productive and compliant in exchange for future security. In general, most people who have (had) access to education and apply (applied) themselves to maximize its usefulness, wound up doing a little better than their parents, financially. It's a natural result of 'growth' in a capitalist system. It was, anyway, until the 80's when the government was persuaded to reduce the burden of America's operating budget only on those with the most money. The wealth gap that has grown since then has nullified all the old formulas of calculating lower and middle class financial success. For 95% of Americans now, where you began is where you finish. Born poor, die poor. Born rich, die richer.
  19. There's a great deal asked of him in this role. But there is also a portion of his natural beauty present in the character's face, as well as that of his physique. Whether or not that has an impact on how he might receive future offers, time will tell. He's certainly strayed from playing a man whose bath water 💦 is lappable.
  20. Anybody see this new retelling of Mary Shelley's macabre tale? I love del Toro's filmmaking style for its theatrical over-the-topness, while consistently keeping the main focus on sensitivity toward the misfits and outcasts within the world he creates. This is no exception. The acting is terrific, as is the gorgeous production design. I've read that, including this, Kenneth Branagh's film stays closest to the novel, with some exceptions. As with all adaptations of the story, check your logic at the door. Casting oh-so-yummy Jacob Elordi as The Creature is probably the highest risk the director took, and in the way he frames the story, from different points of view, it's absolutely got its own payoff. Anybody here see it yet, and were you delighted or disappointed?
  21. Self-reporting one's sexual orientation is as reliable as self-reporting weight and penis size. It doesn't matter unless you think it does.
  22. That's one movie about which I am agnostic. Or Agnes-ostic.
  23. The mysticism of it is really a lot better on the stage, where the realism can come simply from the emotional portrayal of the characters. Not every good (and/or award-winning) play is destined to be a success on screen. I think it's one of them.
  24. Sometimes dumbth is a singular trait, and sometimes it's congenital. Incurious people attract one another, and often mate and produce children who are then raised without curiosity in the home. Popular culture has found multiple ways to make intelligence and critical thinking uncool traits to develop on one's own. Now that everyone has a shot at appearing on TV or YouTube, willful ignorance is finally getting a more accurate representation of its prevalence in the US. Dumbth
