Rolandi was terrific - known as a 'house soprano' for NYCO. Capable of really great singing (and acting) of leading roles, but under contract to also sing secondary roles - the company did so many performances including tours, it was too lucrative to pass up for singers on the rise as they honed languages and roles. She sang at bigger houses later, but her time at City Opera yielded some great work, comic and serious. She was lucky to have the televised opportunity for a role that really showcased her range! Lucia is really a great first for a novice fan - showy, dramatic, tragic a n d a mad scene!

Nolan is a full-grown adult with lot of his own money, and is absolutely as free to wave it about in front of a camera as the rest of us. Maybe him, maybe not. Whoever is behind the pixelation seems quite happy to be there...

I like the stretchy ones that have a ball tugger built in. If I want the extra tug, I add an adjustable snap-on weighted leather band, which can get pinchy on its own. I live in a big market like NYC. More spread out, but lots of providers from which to choose, especially planning beyond "available now" If a big city client sees lots of ads, and wants to pursue a provider who puts up a few road blocks to the actual meeting, I assume that there must be something extraordinary about the appeal that can override normal risk/reward assessment. If losing a few hundred bucks is no biggie, go for it. The provider may be absolutely honest and deliver on the sessions as promised. But if a client pays ahead, and the chemistry is missing from the beginning, that's show biz. Ya bought the ticket, if the curtain goes up, the show ya get is the show ya get. It's better to gamble money than safety.

I wish I enjoyed this show. Turns out the the three totally delish leads are each, for me, best enjoyed as a side dish rather than an entree.
