I’m inclined to agree with you, however mentioning or directing potential clients to their Twitter or OF/JFF page(s) in and of itself wouldn’t necessarily be a hard pass for me. Some very well reviewed, and highly thought of providers have similar text in their profiles regarding their Twitter, and OF/JFF page(s). Many of these gents are inundated with messages, requests to unlock, requests for additional pics. So pointing out their Twitter or OF/JFF page(s) could be viewed as trying to cull the herd a bit. Most with OF/JFF pages will offer explicit previews or short action clips on their Twitter feeds. So if find Provider X on RM, I like what I see, and from what I read I think I’d be compatible, and if he has either or both, I will check out his Twitter. If, after seeing him in action so to speak, I’m still interested, I come here, and do a search. If there’s info, I may PM the hobbyist who provided the info. If there’s no info, I’ll put out a 411. If I get bupkis on the provider, I pass, as I’d be more inclined to think the provider is using RM to promote, drive traffic to his OF/JFF page(s), rather than providing services. Cheers, BBD

It is a sad but true circumstance that cuts both ways - clients to providers, and providers to clients. I think some gents get off on the idea of engaging a provider, but have no intention of ever booking. The chat, and possibly unlocked or additional private pics, are enough to get them off. That’s why a number of providers now have some sort of statement about having no time for idle chat, etc.. It is unfortunate, but it is also reality. Hoping for better, and genuine clients coming your way 🤞🏻 BBD

Had a nice boozey brunch with some mates today. One of which just came back from spending 2 weeks on France, and the Netherlands. Now we’re all gay men, in the same age cohort, (45-55), and as often happens, the conversation eventually turned to sex. Our recent traveled friend regaled us with tales of his rendezvous with three gents who turned out to be 2 Americans, and 1 Venezuelan during his time on the continent. They were hot, and he definitely enjoyed them. I did ask how was the local talent, and he replied something along the lines of “oh I couldn’t be bothered with the language thing and all”. That rather surprised me. For me, when I’m traveling for either work or pleasure, I actually seek out local talent whether I’m just out and about, or engaging in this hobby. So, yes I “shop local” or at least try to - there are a few places where it is challenging to say the least to engage in this hobby with a local (I’m looking at YOU Ireland and Austria, among a few other locales), but I do make the effort. Not just overseas either - domestically I try as well. There’s something to be said about the charm of accents (Southern, New England), the laid back vibe of a Californian surfer type, or rolling around with a hunk of corn fed Mid Western beef. Anyway, it got me thinking, and I wondered how my fellow hobbyists felt about this? Do you make the effort to “shop local” first when you travel, or is it not even an issue for you? Cheers, BBD

I think this is a common “fear” for everyone who bottoms. I’m pretty much “set a clock by it” regular, and I still prep (douche) prior to any encounter or if I’m going out, and hoping for one that night. Many moons ago, after I exited the “Top Highway”, and was beginning to merge onto the “Versatile Expressway”, an older gay friend advised my to start taking metamucil every night before I went to bed. That definitely helps, as does diet. As I’m now travelling 98% exclusively on the “Bottom Freeway”, I am thankful that I’ve not had any accidents, *touch wood*. I’m not saying I never have, but honestly the last I can recall was back when I was like 20-21, and I was still calling it “experimenting”. It was my first successful attempt at bottoming (previous 2 attempts ended with “take it out! take it out!” Lol) meaning he got it all in. Hot hockey jock and found out after, it was his first time topping (we had been playing around for a few weeks, with him as the bottom). Successful encounter we both enjoyed to completion. As he pulled out, not so successful. So yeah, there was a bit of an issue with the pop-poo. Thankfully we were both drunk enough to laugh it off, but not too drunk that we didn’t rinse off and change the sheets before crashing. Next day tho, I was mortified. That, and the fact I *really* enjoyed bottoming kind of scared me from bottoming for a bit. Thankfully I conquered that! For me, metamucil every night, a good diet with plenty of fiber, and ruffage, and a douche about an hour before your engagement does the trick. If you just want to be prepared when you go out “just in case”, what I’ve found works for me is all of the above with a heavy dinner type meal for lunch, then nothing to eat until après-coitus. BBD

So, I just found out I’m off to LA next week for work. This will be my first west coast trip since 2019 😬 My previous trips/experiences in LA have been mixed. I did have a “go-to” guy, Aaron aka MuscleGrip, but he has retired. Le sigh. Any recommendations on genuine, nice, muscular top guys in LA who kiss, and are into bearish dad types? Not really a size queen - as long as it works I’m good - tho some girth is a plus. Other pluses would be body hair, interactive/playful, intelligence, good conversationalist, tactile, and enjoys being rimmed. What say you my fellow hobbyists? Rentmen reviews, for me at least, have been a useful tool in one regard. Say I come across Provider X, if I’m on a VPN, and can read the text of the reviews, I look for a reviewer with a filled in RM profile, and if said reviewer matches me in terms of likes, stats, etc., I often check who else they’ve reviewed. Then I come here, search the provider(s) to see what say you all, sometimes I may PM a poster for a bit more info, and then make my decision on engaging the provider. It’s also useful when a reviewer leaves 5 star glowing reviews, then you come here, and read feedback from guys who have met the provider(s) in question, with experiences FAR from glowing. Helps determine legit reviews from fake one. At the end of the day, it can be one of many tools one can use to determine whether or not to engage a provider. BBD

It’s not unreasonable at all for hobbyists to judge providers based on our likes/preferences. It’s the manner in which it’s done that’s issue. The OP asked for feedback on this particular provider - totally normal. What I think is unnecessary is when other hobbyists chime in -when they have no experience with the provider, and have no intention to engage them - picking apart the provider’s body, appearance AND talking down to hobbyists about our choices, about how this must be the best we can hope to get, AND THEN proceeds to go on about how sexy, hot they are. It’s just so condescending, so patronizing, and so unnecessary. Now if someone asks for feedback on a provider, and a hobbyist replies they’ve engaged them, and the pictures are out of date, the body is not what the pics show, etc. that’s different. The former is rude, the latter is informative. How many times have I opened a “411” thread, clicked the link, and seen a provider that’s not my type, that I don’t think is attractive? Plenty. But I don’t add a comment to the thread expressing any of that, or any faults I find with his appearance, or any judgement I have for hobbyists who go for that type. I just close the thread, and move on. That’s how this is supposed to work. Just my two cents. I will add a third cent - in anonymous forums when people start talking about how worldly they are, how well heeled they are, how desirable, hot, and sexy they are, my experience has been chances are, they’re none of the above. This provider is a new one for me, and I have to say, he’s a fine bit of stuff. In the first video clip posted by @azdr0710 (thanks!) I found him charming. As far politics goes, put me in the camp that doesn’t bring that topic up. I’m not engaging a gent to debate politics. Based on the non-political driven feedback in this thread, I’d engage if we happened to be in the same city at the same time. My two cents - if you want to talk politics and/or share a bed with someone who shares your views, get a boyfriend. 🤷🏼‍♂️ So can we please leave politics out of it, and just concentrate on feedback based on services. I know from some providers they include it to let potential clients that they, the client, can indulge. Others have said PNP to them means everything but “hardcore”. So take that as you will. BBD

Many memories going thru the replies! My list would include: • getting milk delivered in glass bottles • learning cursive • learning telephone numbers by exchange (ie; ENdicott7-0932), using a rotary phone, and always carrying a dime in case you needed to make a call • onion paper and envelopes with red and blue trim for air mail • it may not have been a thing everywhere, but the dance schools girls used to attend for ballet lessons, they would hold dances once a week after school from 4-6, where we’d learn waltzing, the foxtrot, the lindy, the mambo, etc.. Boys had to wear jacket and tie, girls a party dress. I do remember it was considered “bad form” if as a boy, you didn’t rotate among the handful of schools for the dances • going to FAO Schwarz (the old location on the east side of Fifth Avenue) on Saturdays for their story time and puppet show followed by ice cream at The Sherry-Netherland. • adults arguing about Watergate • when the Duke of Windsor died • the death of el Caudillo • when Elvis Presley died • the Bicentennial - I can vividly remember that summer in particular. There were so many events going on - the tall ships in the harbor, the naval parade down the Hudson stand out. Many museums, and organisations, (like the DAR), had exhibits, dances in honour of the bicentennial. We spent much of our summers out east at my grandparents beach house, and every Monday night there was a fireworks show at the beach from offshore. It was a big social event - while you didn’t necessarily dress up, you were smartly dressed. I also remember everything that could be was painted red, white, and blue - fire hydrants, telephone poles, fire call boxes, mailboxes. Every town, sometimes every block, had some sort of party/potluck/bbq on the weekends with all the patriotic bunting, and sparklers for the kids. I remember that summer so well, even silly details like who was wearing what and where - and at least in my memory, I don’t recall a really rainy day. BBD

First up is the lovely James Longman, with ABC News now after spending time as BBC’s Beirut correspondent. Openly gay and recently engaged. Next is the classically handsome Thomas Roberts (pictured with husband Patrick Abner). I know them both socially, and they are charming, friendly, handsome men. I always felt his career was somewhat stymied due to homophobia. Third would be Leland Vittert, formerly with Fox, now with NewsNation, and possessor of arguably the best hair in news. I think he’s very handsome, and single at 39 makes one wonder. This brings us to Matt Guttman - he of the infamous pubes pic! A sexy, hairy news hunk for sure! Finally, a local fellow, Erick Adame of NY1 - fit, handsome, great smile, openly gay and out and about here in NYC with his boyfriend. Honourable Mention/Runner Up would be Bill Hemmer from Fox. I know, I know - but still! Can’t help it, I think he’s hot - and single at 57 makes one wonder. BBD
