  1. I’m juggling three books right now: 1.) Shuggie Bain - Douglas Stuart It’s not an easy read, and not for everyone but as I read it, I find it very rewarding. 2.) Say Nothing - Patrick Radden Keefe It is a well researched, and well written account of the disappearance, and presumed murder of Jean McConville, a 39 year old mother of 10 in Belfast in 1972. This is *the* crime from The Troubles, with most convinced Gerry Adams gave to order to “disappear” Jean McConville. 3.) Good Behaviour - Molly Keane A nice light, witty, and dry humoured read. She’s a favourite of mine, one of the greats of the Anglo Irish literary genre. I usually do juggle a few books at the same time - a “heavy” novel, some non-fiction, and something “light”. My previous “trifecta” was Country Girls - Edna O’Brien, The Last Kaiser - Giles McDonogh, and Another World - Pat Barker. I also do enjoy the “speculative/alternative history” genre. A while ago I read one, with the premise that the Russian Revolution failed, and the monarchy continued. It was a bit heavy on the military facts, (troop numbers, types of arms, class of boats, bombs, etc.), as it went through all the wars but some like that. I tended to skim those pages to be honest. It was a nice escape, with fleshed out characters, realistic historical characters in conversation, etc.. BBD
  2. Friends and I were just chatting about this last week - remembering July 4th, the invasion, the fun times we all had many, many years ago now when we were all doing summer shares. Out of our group (we were in different houses, but were always at each other’s), 2 or 3 wound up buying places in the Pines. The rest wound up with places out East. I have to say I really love FI. It really is a magical place. You run out of work on a Friday to catch the express to Sayville, get one of the taxi vans to the ferries, and as you make your way across the bay you can feel the stress just leave your body. No cars made it so you always were running into someone, meeting someone. I’m laughing now remembering shopping at the Pines Pantry (“2 tomatoes? That will be $12” 😂) where they may run out of condiments, but there was a never ending supply of Fleet enemas and lube at the checkout lol I just remember everyone being so friendly - yes, there were cliques - I’m sure we were thought of as one - and yes we gave certain houses/certain groups “nicknames” but I have to say I don’t remember any fights, any nastiness based on what group you were in. Based on who you hooked up with - yes, there was drama. I just loved waking up on the Saturday, grabbing a towel and walking the 5 mins to the beach. I remember there was this one guy always lost his speedo the minute he laid out his blanket-of course he wasn’t the only one, but given the uncut baby’s arm he had, he’s the one that sticks out in memory! I found out he’d film content on the beach, the boardwalk, the LIRR and post to xtube! I was always sad I missed seeing it IRL lol There was a saying about FI newbies - after doing a summer you’ll either be friends for life, or hate each other by July 4th. Kind of true. Thankfully, I’m still friends with my 3 housemates (tho they aren’t among themselves really). I’m rambling here as memories flood - running into friends, making new friends, hooking up, seeing guys you didn’t know were gay out and about, meeting celebrities, porn stars, media personalities on the same level and having fun. Yes, I loved it, love the memories, it will always be a magical place for me. BBD
  3. It all depends on the circumstances. Sometimes I can be rock hard when I’m bottoming to the point that my top or I cannot touch my cock as I’m *that close* to orgasm. This has happened usually as a result of our foreplay, durty/naughty talk prior and during sex - and during those times I have cum hands free. But honestly, the majority of times I bottom I’m fully flaccid or with a semi chubby bouncing around. As has been said the pleasure doesn’t always come from the penis and ejaculating. If you’ve ever had an anal orgasm when flaccid you know what I mean. As to your point @Kevin Slater, as a grower to begin with, and with a very average in length but fat member, when I’m on my back, flaccid, enjoying my top, I do turtle in - but the pre will be pouring out. I’ve even cum many times like that usually in conjunction with an anal orgasm or when my top is hammering my prostate just right. You’re not alone in tops that get off on that visual 😉 BBD
  4. I did a search but the previous threads were either old, and locked for comments, or got bogged down in the “is he a ginger or a blond” discussion 😂 I came across his profile today as I was perusing in London. He looks incredibly familiar - did he have a name change or is he on other social media where I may have noticed him? 🤔 It looks like it’s back to normal levels of traveling for business again as we enter the fall. As such I’ll be spending a lot of time in London so I’m looking for a “go-to” guy (or guys 😉) as my previous go-to guy (DannyLondon) is “on a break” 🙁 thus my perusal in London. Have to say I was disappointed Giobolo will be gone by the time I’m back in and out of London. Met him a few times thru the years and oh my! He did say he may have another trip towards the end of the year, so who knows! Having said that, I did hear from another hobbyist that he has limited his repertoire. Anyway, back to the point - I’d be interested to hear from any gents who know HotBlondMagnus - his repertoire, limits, etc.. As ever, feel free to share as much as you’d like via PM. Cheers! 5. In general, I take everything I read on a providers page with a grain of salt. I completely understand there is marketing going on so a “straight” provider may very well get more interest than a gay provider. Whether that’s because a hobbyist believes no gay man can be as masculine as a straight man, or maybe it’s the chance to live out the fantasy of being with the jock you lusted after in HS, college, the gym. Who knows? Different strokes for different folks and all that. For me, I usually stick with providers who list themselves as gay or when in private conversations with hobbyists here or IRL I find out a provider is in fact gay despite what they’ve written on their page. I look at it as a version of “shop local” - I go to the local mom and pop butcher vs the big stores to give my support; same thing going to the gay escorts. Having said that, I have been with some who do identify as bi, and even one or two straight ones back when I started this hobby. Some encounters have been great, some have been duds, just like with gay escorts. I think there’s so many factors in play that determine a successful encounter that being straight, bi, gay can’t guarantee success on their own. I will add that what irks me is the whole “ask me” answer. I know - “just ask, what’s the big deal?” I suppose I just get the feeling some providers use that answer not because they’re necessarily shy, but to figure out the answer the hobbyist wants to hear. Again, whatever works, works. I’d just prefer a straight answer, that the provider be themselves (or as much as they can be, are willing to be) in their answers, and we can just take it from there. 6. As some other posters have noted, it’s not as big an issue when one enjoys the bottom bunk, but some tops get off on seeing their bottom hard, and cumming (either jacking or hands free) as the pound away. I have always taken cialis as needed, which works fine for me but thanks to everyone for all you input and information on others! I am curious if any have tried with success any OTC supplements? I have a good mate, we’re both ticking the same age cohort on forms (45-54), and he swears by his daily “regimen”. If I remember correctly, he takes zinc, magnesium, l-arginine, vit d, b12 every morning. He says they give him harder erections, and he cums more. He’s a top, and I can attest he is on brick right out of the gate and is a big shooter. Any of you gents tried or have had similar results with these or other OTC products? Cheers! BBD
  7. Hey @Muscle Lover 2 - Just checking if your meeting with RugbyMuscleBear happened? I’ll be in London regularly enough in the fall, and winter so I’d love a new “go-to” guy while there. Feel free to PM me 😀 Thanks! BBD
  8. You’ve asked for honest opinions, so here are mine. I know a number of gents on here will vehemently disagree with me, but I generally don’t have a problem with giving a deposit. Provided of course the provider is well reviewed, and we’ve had a conversation ironing out details first. Also, while you didn’t say it, I take it that this deposit is off your rate, and not in addition, (ie; rate of $300/hr less $25 deposit means $275 due), correct? The way I look at it, the deposit is to reserve a service - like a hotel reservation, a restaurant reservation, etc.. If you as the hobbyist don’t show up, you lose that deposit. Then, at least the provider has some renumeration for blocking out the time and potentially missing out on further earnings. I’m not sure how much this will cut down on flakes, but I know from other providers it does help. One told me after our second encounter he used deposits to both separate the wheat from the chafe, as well as to establish reliable regulars when traveling. He’d know before going to X city he has say 5 reliable regulars who get priority. After that second encounter, he didn’t ask for a deposit again saying “no, we’re good now”. Maybe that’s a model you can work into your own? As far as leaving a voicemail, again not a problem. In fact, I do insist on at least one phone call prior to engaging a provider. Voices are important to me, you can tell a lot about a person just from their voice - the timber, pitch, accent, vocabulary, etc.. In addition, texting, e-mailing is such a flat medium. There’s been plenty of commentary on these forums thru the years about “brusque” or “rude” providers based on text/email interaction. While I’m sure some are, I can’t help but wonder how much of the perceived brusqueness or rudeness is a result of the medium, not the messenger. A question or two for you now if I may: 1.) when I reach out to a new provider, I usually direct to my profile on rentmen so he can see what I’m looking for and decide if we’d be a compatible fit - how do you feel about that? 2.) any plans to come out East, preferably NYC, in the coming months? Cheers! BBD
  9. You know what they say about men with big feet - they wear big shoes! 😂 Sorry! Bad dad joke, but I couldn’t resist. BBD
  10. Apparently big all over 😉 BBD
  11. I am equal parts nonplused and unsurprised by some of the judgements displayed in this thread. This from the same forums where providers are often picked over mercilessly in the Deli for their physical appearance - too many muscles, not muscular enough; bad teeth, teeth look fake; too hairy, too smooth; ad infinitum. We don’t even need to get into the whole tattoos and piercings contretemps. Nothing @rustyrex shared gave me any sense that this provider was vain or entitled. At the most basic level, the provider is selling a product - himself. It’s only prudent that he do everything he can to increase demand for his product. Otherwise, as often noted in discussions in the Deli, there’s plenty of others out there. I’ve also had a peek behind the curtains with a few regular gents I have engaged. That body you see on RM doesn’t just happen. Beyond the gym, supplements, gear, there’s manicures/pedicures, tanning, for those that do, professional manscapping, hair care and grooming, personal care products, wardrobe, housing, and yes Botox and even plastic surgery (in my experience it has been corrective as in its something the provider always hated and only now had the funds for it), etc.. You may not think it, but there’s so much that goes into being a provider than one realizes. Don’t judge - be thankful instead that there are providers who care enough about this vocation, and about providing their demographic the best physically that they can. BBD
  12. I’d like to think these are outliers, but I just don’t know anymore. Just like I didn’t know until now that one could change gender legally without the surgery. I’m not saying that’s a good or bad thing, I just think there are those out there who could use such a loophole (for lack of a better word) maliciously. There have been a few cases in Ireland that have gotten attention over the last few years. In order to change gender, all you need to do is be 18 (16 with guardian consent), complete a Gender Recognition Form, have it witnessed, submit to the State and once registered, you receive a Gender Recognition Certificate which then allows you to change your birth certificate, ID, other government issued paperwork. The fact that no psychiatric evaluation, hormone therapy, surgery, etc. is required has created some problems with those cases that have garnered the headlines. In one case, a biological male identifying as a trans woman who had had no hormone therapy or surgery was convicted of repeatedly abusing his partner’s son over the course of the 4 years they were together. The prosecution was able to provide evidence that identifying as trans was a ploy to not be viewed as a danger to the partner’s young son. By virtue of his Gender Recognition Certificate, he has been housed in an all female prison. In another case, a young man identifying as a trans woman attempted to kill his mother, and while out on bail for that offense attacked two other women. Remanded to jail, he then submitted his Gender Recognition Form. This is someone the State has found evidence via his own writings, of his desires to rape, maim, and murder women, who now if convicted will be sent to an all female prison. Again, I’d like to think these, and others, are outliers. In my opinion, both of these individuals are clearly mentally unbalanced - especially the latter. That either (and others) were able to change gender so easily is an unforeseen result of rushed legislation. BBD
  13. https://rentmen.eu/rugbymusclebear I’ve had my eye on this gent for a while now. I had originally planned on engaging him when I was over around Easter 2020 - but rona had other plans for all of us. Le sigh. Even so, we have kept up a casual texting/messaging type of “relationship” the last 18 months now. I was supposed to be back in London last week for a spell, but the universe had other plans, again. The member on here who provided positive feedback on his encounters with this gent is no longer on here. As I am still hoping to get back this calendar year, thought I’d ask if anyone has any feedback or experiences with this gent to share? Thanks! BBD
  14. Looks like Matt/Tom took down his ad. New name, or has he left this life behind? BBD
  15. Still very interested in any feedback, experiences any of you gents have had with this provider. 😀 BBD
  16. Damn! Pardon me while I mop up 🤤 Just seeing this thread now, viewed his profile, and while I tend to think he is booked this trip, I did message him just in case 🤞🏻 Any of you gents have any first hand experience(s) to share? BBD
  17. His repertoire seems very limited based on his selections under “into”. So much so that even with my curiosity about him, I’d pass without any feedback from others. BBD
  18. This gent looks so familiar! Not sure if he had an ad under a different name, if he reminds me of someone else, if I’ve seen him elsewhere, or what. Ugh! Frustrating! lol If there’s positive feedback on his services, he’d be one I’d be interested in engaging. BBD
  19. Whether in call or out call, I always meet the gent in a public setting first. Usually the hotel bar if I’m hosting, or a pub near his if he’s hosting. This goes for both first time hires, as well as established regulars. It makes it a bit less transactional to have a few drinks, and a chat before getting down to business. I can understand being cautious accepting drinks in their home or hotel - especially with a first time hire. It’s honestly never occurred to me tho. Any gent I engage with has come with recommendations from hobbyists on here, and/or that I know outside this forum. Whether I’ve just been lucky I can’t say. What I will say the one time I believe someone slipped something in my drink was at a well known gay bar in NYC. Nothing bad happened - beyond feeling all fogged for a day or two after - but can’t figure out why the bartender (that’s who we were convinced slipped something in our drinks) did it 🤷🏼‍♂️ Needless to say, I’ve not darkened their door since. Whether it’s a provider, a hook up, a guy chatting you up at the bar, etc. just be mindful gents and be careful! BBD
  20. I’ll admit, he’s one that always grabs my eye when perusing RM under whatever name he’s using at the time. But I’ve never pulled the trigger 🤷🏼‍♂️ Both on here, and in conversation offline with other hobbyists, there’s either those who praise him, and those who voice utter disappointment in his services. While I’d hope for the former, I’ve not engaged due to not wanting to wind up in the latter category. Going purely on memory here, it seems under his latest iteration, he has expanded his repertoire, so still open to engaging him now if there’s some more consistent, positive feedback. BBD
  21. Nice find, mate! 👍🏻 This gent ticks all my boxes ✅ so would interested in hearing how your booking goes. Fingers crossed you have a great time 🤞🏻 BBD
  22. Thank you @Luv2play, @Lucky, @Mjonis, @Charlie, @maninsoma, @mike carey for your replies! 🤗 I definitely had/am having a wobble over everything. I spoke at length with one of my good friends last night. We’re both in the same cohort age wise, and he’s also feeling the emotional and mental drain of the past 18 months more acutely now. So it was a bit of comfort to chat with him, and now see all your replies, and know I’m not unique in having these feelings. The lack, or more properly the denial of being able to travel where I want definitely hurts. I turned 50 in 2020, so there were 2 European jaunts planned with friends to celebrate that summer. Of course, those plans went the way of the dodo. But even then, I was happy enough to postpone until summer 2021, which never happened, which was why I was so looking forward to my London trip. Even with one of my ever optimistic friends saying “don’t worry, we’ll do it next year!” I couldn’t help but think “will we ever be able to?” Its not even just traveling for pleasure - most of my family live overseas. Both my parents are gone, and my aunties and uncles left are pushing 80 or well into their 80’s now. I wonder will I ever see them again? I’ve had to watch 3 funerals online from overseas that I would have normally flown over for (none from covid tho) I don’t want to think that’s how it’s going to be going forward. Even happy events I’ve missed - I was asked to be godfather to my cousin’s youngest born Sept 2020, she put off the christening until early 2021 thinking “things will be sorted by then”, of course they weren’t so there’s me on FaceTime for the christening. It’s depressing to even think I may not see family, friends outside of FaceTime or Zoom again. I really feel bad for my niece and nephew, who both started uni in September 2019 - covid has laid waste to what should have been some of the best years of their lives. But instead they’ve had two years, and all those experiences stripped away from them, and they can’t get any of it back. Of course, I know I have it much better than many others. I’m alive, employed, housed. Even so, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me -or anyone- to be beyond frustrated that this is where we are 18+ months later. So much for “flattening the curve”. Engaging in this hobby again has helped, but it’s a temporary fix. Some weeks I’ll engage a few times, some weeks not at all, and sometimes I just think “why bother”. I do think part of my growing frustration, meh, ennui, etc. stems from the fact the goalposts keep shifting. There seems to be no plan about how to live with covid. We are always hearing “it’s here to stay like the flu”, but without any roadmap, plan on how to resume normal life. I just have less and less patience for the restrictions anymore. Anyway, thanks again for your replies, gents! And thanks for listening to my rambling rant/vent. I’m sure this wobble will pass, and I keep all manner of appendages crossed that normalcy will return sooner rather than later for all of us 🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻 BBD
  23. I think you, sir, could go without shorts all together given your profile pic! 😜 BBD
  24. Oh if you find it, please do share! 😈 Hopefully it’s for an equally big, burly, hairy, muscular guy! 🔥 BBD
  25. I was surprised when I started reading this thread that there is some new “National Database” that tracks all of our prescriptions. I was aware of the database for scheduled drugs, and only because I’ve been prescribed some, and my doctor told me about it as he looked me up in it. My first thought regarding the OPs question was “it must have come from his insurance carrier”. I know my PCP (I always have to remember not to use “GP” anymore lol) often logs into my insurance carrier’s website during consultations for reference, so if the OP went thru his insurance carrier, that prescription would show up under what the carrier has covered. But I’m not a physician, so I have no idea if this is indeed the case 🤷🏼‍♂️ Right now, other than my podiatrist, and optometrist, all my doctors are part of the same hospital network/practice. They can all see my appointments, what the other is prescribing me, what tests have been run, what the results were, etc.. I find it handy. But they all ask me at each appointment if I’ve taken or started any new medications, which itself is proof enough for me that there is no “National Database” tracking all this. If you find out how your PCP found out, do let us curious kitties know, OP! BBD
