  1. Thinking about this a bit more, I reflect on the cases that come to mind in my own life of young men killed in tragic circumstances. Just a few from when I was young, three young men who worked at summer jobs with me in different years while at university like myself, were killed in accidents.

One, when his girlfriend drove off the road a couple of weeks after our jobs ended, flipping the car and he was killed; another, a university student from Toronto who was killed on the first day of the job at a construction site; I had flown with him the previous day to get to the remote location in Labrador; another who was drowned in a sailing accident off the Bahamas in a hurricane the winter after I had worked with him and had got to know him travelling back and forth to our work site together from Montreal.

All in their early twenties, all beautiful young men who would be my age now had they lived, with 50 years of wonderful experiences.

Life is funny that way. It’s a roll of the dice.

That's usually the age most die of unnatural causes. Taking chances because of testosterone, lack of prefrontal cortex development , or just thinking of yourself as invincible. For Gay men it's usually std's, gym stupidity (steroids and/or just hurting yourself constantly), and drugs.

It's the same reason we send them off to war because you'll never convince say a 40 something to put themselves in harms way like that. All my health issues today were all due to the stupid risky shit I did in my younger years that's finally caught up to me. ?

  2. There’s not one word that the guy said, that even resembled the stereotypically exaggerated slang used in that scene on Airplane.

I’m also quite familiar with the many tweets from Rappaport as well. He speaks in slang, uses profanity as well. Would you consider his way of speaking “black hood talk”, too?

    ?

Well, for one thing Jive is dated so yes of course it's not going to resemble what he said today.

Maybe. Allot white boys like to act like their from the hood as well.

  3. Durant has been fined $50,000 for using offensive and derogatory language on social media, the league announced in a press release today. The release added that Durant has since acknowledged his actions were inappropriate.

“I receive threats and disgusting messages DAILY, but never in my wildest dreams did I think [Kevin Durant] would be among them,” Rapaport wrote in his post. “The [snake] himself is now threatening me, bringing up my wife and wants to fight. This is supposed to be America’s sweetheart right?”

Durant has since apologized for his words. The 32-year-old has only appeared in 19 games for the Nets this season, averaging 29 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest. Brooklyn is hoping he could return soon from a hamstring injury suffered in February.

Since he's worth 170 million that would like getting fined $5.00 for most of us peasants. What he's really concerned about is his sponsors like Coke and Nike who don't appreciate this negative press. He gets 35 million a year just from that. That's the only reason he's apologizing now.

  4. Ummm.... you may be reaching a bit.

Everyone’s path in life isn’t to be a “well-articulated orator”. He’s a superior athlete, which definitely deserves respect, as anyone does, if they are prolific in their said profession.

Secondly, playing basketball requires more skill than just “throwing a ball into a hoop”.

You wanna know what’s sad? That the level of stupidity you speak of, was celebrated for four years, by people wearing MAGA hats....

Yeah, clearly no orator. He needs an interpreter.

  5. These are athletes who are fueled with adrenaline and testosterone.

Anyone who has played a lot of sports understand that this type of communication is quite common and shouldn’t be made into more that what it is: “Shit-Talking”.

It's sad that we live in a world where this kind of stupidity is celebrated. Durant can't even string a sentence together yet he's worth 170 million because he can throw a ball into a hoop. He's freaking 7 ft tall so it really isn't that much of a feat.

I've started to see more and more of this expression on RM profiles.

The provider doesn't necessarily check PNP in his profile

But includes "PNP Friendly" or "Party Friendly" in his ad description.

What does it mean to you, and what's your take on the provider?

Tweakers have always had all kinds of code words to avoid advertising their own use but at least it gets the message out. Bring Meth and will play all night!!

  7. Sidebar comment:

I personally don’t like the smell of weed either, and don’t smoke it. However; a few years back, I took a few puffs of a marijuana vape, which was odorless.

Got a nice buzz, and didn’t smell like a skunk.

Why won’t most people just indulge in the odorless options?

Vape pens aren't generally as strong as the traditional method.

  8. Gentleman....It is the law of supply and demand, the haves and the have nots. The trophy wives and spoiled housewives found in the soccer stands of every private high school married to curmudgeonly old guys are the same. An escort may be a little more transactional, but the basics are the same, an exchange of wants and haves. The problem comes when respect is an issue. Service is better in a store that is nice, appreciative and respectful of the customer. Customers get better treatment when they are respectful, pleasant and pay the price asked. Escorting is the same, it's all commerce.

Yeah, while the first prostitute err... lady was knocked up with a kid Donnie was out banging others like Stormy Daniels. Yet prostitution is still illegal in this country. Lol

There seems to be a prostitution hierarchy though. Trophy wives/husbands are at the top and best paid. Then the porn stars who sometimes even look down on escorts as beneath them. I think escorting is at least the most honest of the professions though.
