Talking to some of the nicer/honest strippers in Montreal, they had told me that songs in the lap dance area are always longer than the stage songs.  So when a guy sets a timer with three minutes per song, they are actually shorting you by a minute or two per song.  The guys who set a timer (unfortunately, the hotter ones) only get one song from me.  I find it better to have a guy tell me every time a new song begins. 

I respectfully disagree.  When in Puerto Vallarta I pay in pesos.  The boys are happy to be tipped 20 pesos (little more than 1 U.S. dollar) and 10 minute private dances start at 500 pesos (little more than 25 U.S. dollars).  I can get escorts to my room for 1000-2000 pesos (50 to 100 U.S. dollars).  I have been going every year for 6 years, and have regulars who welcome me with open arms when I walk into 69.   Sure, I can pay more and get more, but I'm happy with the level of service these men provide for the prices they ask.

Nothing more gross than taking advantage of young poor kids who are selling their body for pennies. Everyone deserves a rate that you can afford, not the bare minimum they will accept out of desperation.

Been there a couple of times. There are 4 clubs in total. 3 of which are right next to each other, and a fourth across the river.
69 is probably the best, but I would tie it with Wet Dreams next door. It's smaller and has a more metropolitan feel. People say the dances are pushier, but they weren't in my experience. The third club near 69 (forget the name)... don't bother, it's empty and had a couple of mediocre dancers. The one across the river is pretty nice, not nearly as busy and the dancers are a small step down from 69/Wet Dreams.

I have to agree with this statement. Customers are charged a $100 to see the dancers nude.  If they don’t want to be nude, then they don’t come to the party.  If the host can’t get the A-listers to comply, then move on to other dancers. When it comes to dancers, sometimes good is good enough. When I attended the party, Jonny Bronco was there.  He was incredibly hot (and nude).  But I still would have had just as much fun if he wasn’t there since there were plenty of dancers who were super attractive. There’s something hot about seeing a dancer completely nude that isn’t the same when they have a thong or g-string on. 
 
the second issue is getting nude for the first dance. I know it’s been discussed before, but I really hate it when a dancer waits until the second song to do that.   I remember the first time that happened and I was like “what?”  It’s $20 for a nude dance.  Not $40 and $20 per song after that. 
 
I hope Tim reads these threads. I know it may be difficult to find dancers, but you have to stick your ground on some things. Otherwise this will continue with other demands from dancers.

This is kind of ridiculous.  The event is called a NUDE PARTY.   There has to be some kind of quality control and the guys who doesn't want to be nude simply shouldn't be at the party.   The hosts are making money and not fulfilling their part here. 
Party name should change to: SOME ARE NUDE PARTY or NUDE/THONG OPTIONAL PARTY lol. 

I'm wondering if Tim is now having to let some of the guys wear a thong or underwear in order to find talent and/or entice them to even show up.....it used to be a solid rule that all had to be naked and only the occasional superstar or "I don't really do this"-kinda guy was allowed to keep something on.......

My doctor gave me a Doxy PEP prescription, and disclosed that he uses it as well. He did mention that if you're having frequent exposure periods (eg. 7 days a week), he doesn't recommend taking an antibiotic daily. My exposures are far enough in between that it I feel the added protection is worth it. In fact, due to my current schedule, I've only used on once so far and didn't experience any of the negative digestive side effects that he warned me of.

So back to the original post asking about Doxy PEP. Yes, it's been around for a while, but I think awareness has been increasing lately. A friend of mine mentioned it to me a few months ago, and the last time I saw my doc he suggested it before I asked about it. This was when I was doing my quarterly bloodwork and STI check, so it made sense that he'd suggest it in that context.
I also had the concern about the potential for mass long term use of various antibiotics may accelerate the development and spread of antibiotic resistant strains of STIs. Doc said he is not too concerned given the relatively low dosages of the antibiotic, and provided they are taken as advised (just after sex). Take that for what you will... maybe the doc is a shill for the pharmaceuticals, but I know he also keeps up with the medical journals so I trust his judgement. I'm not obsessing over or wanting to argue over statistics; instead my thoughts are if Doxy PEP can prevent or lessen the transmission of STIs, that's something I'm interested in.

From the masseur's viewpoint, he brings up the amount of the tip because he has likely been burned by cheapskates who get the most out of him and then leave a poor tip. Why give your best without knowing that the person is generous or tight?

Obviously I haven't been since before Covid...and I only tried twice. But very disappointed by the crowd.

well...I was completely uncomfortable.

I'm just the opposite.  If the clothes don't start coming off during the first song, I stop at 1.  Period.  I'd guess that 99% of the time that's been a reliable indicator of whether the dancer is going to be generous with his body or tease me along hoping to make lots of $$ with minimum effort.  They don't necessarily have to end up totally naked by the end of the 1st song , but the willingness to do so tells me everything.
