I've kept track since the beginning of my hiring, probably because a few decades ago I was I had credit card debt because I didn't follow a budget. I started following a budget and keeping track of discretionary expenses in categories where I noticed it was easy for me to spend way more money than I realized and way more than I could afford. Nearly thirty years later, I still keep track of all of my expenses and have a few categories where I specifically break out my expenses so I can monitor them closely. One of those categories is escorts and masseurs. At the height of my spending on this luxury (years ago), I spent several thousand dollars per year. The figure today is perhaps 10% of that. I still like to look and lurk but I seldom hire anyone anymore.

I'm surprised that there have been two positive mentions of Lauren Weedman so far. For me, she was the worst part of the series. Has she appeared in anything else worthy of watching? I hadn't noticed that, but it looks like you are correct. I just went to modelmahem, found a hot guy, and dragged his main photo into Google image search. It didn't find the modelmahem page or any other page displaying the model's photo and simply returned "barechested" as a result. I got the same result dragging and dropping the photo in Firefox as I did right clicking the image and selecting image search in Chrome.

I assume HBO is rerunning this if you just watched it last night. I think it was originally on a couple of years ago and I assume there is a previous thread here about it. Overall I think there were too many flaws for me to recommend this series, but it did get a bit better in season two.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a Luddite. Anyone who knows me knows that I love gadgets as long as they perform well and do something I want them to do. I typically seek out the best examples of electronic devices that I can afford. That's why I cannot abide by listening to music on a small plastic speaker (unless I'm just sitting at my computer and listening to something for convenience). My issue with so-called "smart" devices like this is that I simply don't feel the benefits outweighs the negatives. I'm already able to check the weather, look up trivia on the web, or order something from Amazon on my smart phone (that I realize is also spying on me in some ways). I don't need a new gadget where I live monitoring the sound every second of every day. That's just unnecessarily intrusive.

I've got other devices that can do the things these devices do that I am willing to have in my house. I'm sure my home theater/stereo provides a much more satisfying music listening experience anyway.

I have to respectfully disagree: As to whether payment up front is more reasonable, it all depends on perspective. You believe the escort should be the one to know at the beginning of the session that he won't be ripped off because he already got his cash, but then that leaves the client at risk. In fact there have been numerous posts here over the years about people paying in full and then getting nothing in return. I can tell you that I have never paid someone in advance, but if I have someone over I will have the cash sitting out somewhere that's visible so the guy knows I'm not going to pretend to have no money when the session is over. For times when I visit a guy's place, though, I'm definitely not going to get out my payment at the beginning of the session and any guy who demands that is going to lose my business because I will simply leave. The only professional I pay in advance is my doctor because I have to pay my copay when I check in for an appointment. Otherwise I think the standard across nearly every industry is that the service is performed first and then payment is rendered. Sure, if a project is large there will be some sort of payment plan (pay half up front, half at the end, for example), but for an hour's worth of a professional's time I cannot think of any other business where some people try to rationalize that it makes sense for payment to be rendered in advance of the service being delivered. Comparing the delivery of a service to purchasing some sort of tangible item isn't the same, but if you wanted to use that analogy then it would be more fair to suggest that buying your groceries, bringing them home, and then returning to pay would be like expecting to hire an escort, go to his place, play, go home, and then return later to pay. No one is suggesting that that would be reasonable. But shopping for groceries and paying at the checkout before I leave is reasonable just like going to an escort's house and paying as I leave is reasonable. The grocery store doesn't expect me to put down a deposit as soon as I enter the store. As to my specific situation, if the session was cut short due to lack of chemistry and I wanted to leave early or I was extremely turned on and came quickly and wanted to leave, then I agree that it would be improper to withhold payment. But this guy wasn't even giving me the courtesy of spending time with me. It wasn't even an option for me to spend more time with him even if that did involve just cuddling and talking because he basically kicked me out. Would you think it's fair for a restaurant to charge you for a full meal if the waiter told you you had to leave after eating the appetizer. By your logic, the diner should be happy to pay for the full mean because, after all, they ate something. What you view as stinginess I view as not giving in to someone's entitlement. I have, in fact, paid in full for many sessions that didn't last a full hour because I had come and the guy simply wasn't particularly personable post-orgasm. I would never suggest that I discount my payment because I didn't get to hang out another few minutes to chat. I very likely wouldn't return to such a guy, however, because I do like more of the "boyfriend experience" where the interaction goes beyond the purely sexual, but I would view such encounters as I got what I paid for. I'm a bit perplexed. What does this guy's ad have to do with Adam "super beef?" The photos are definitely not of the same person. There is nothing wrong with a 55 year old offering escort or massage services. I think the guy in the ad you linked looks hot and he may actually be 55, unlike a guy in another visitor ad I recently saw who claimed to be in his late forties but is closer to 65, according to information readily available by searching his phone number. I agree that something about the various "super beef" ads have always seemed off. I gave up trying to sell relatively small value items online. It just isn't worth the time and effort. Even when you are giving away something for free, it's amazing that people will flake on appointments to retrieve items. When I have something I want to get rid of that has some but not a lot of value, I simply give it away by posting that something free is available on the sidewalk in front of my building and that it's first come, first served. Then I remove the post as soon as the item is taken. For something of greater value, I'd rather use a website other than Craigslist or the like even though it means I'll lose some of my profit in a listing fee on eBay or the like.

All of my favorites were eliminated far before the finals, so I didn't really care who won other than I definitely didn't think Red deserved to win. The other three were all okay, but I doubt I will seek out anything they record.
