You are on the right track, IMO, so press on!
I started seeing masseurs about 8 months ago because I had very little experience with guys and wanted to be prepared to go out in the “wild.” 😀(I had some experience with guys right after college but then got married.)
Look for the people that are patient and passionate (you’ll easily recognize this in your first session) and let them know that you’d like to explore. Be upfront with them. I also look for masseurs that accept everyone - read their ad. These gents take people of all body types, experience levels, race/ethnicities, age. These are the guys that really love what they do.

I was lucky to find two masseurs who have helped me to explore. (They’ve become regulars.) One of whom I have topped for the first time ever and the other whom I have bottomed for for the first time ever. Both of these masseurs are super patient and genuinely kind and open people. We’ve done all of the fun stuff together.
Keep looking because there are some really kind people out there who are willing to help you!!!

well...agree rimming and other activities and cumming at the start of a massage can be hot...once again I limit who I spend time doing this with and I take PreP and Doxy...and once again I am an adult and know the risks...with all that said in my middle 60's and have never been infected with anything through rimming...and kissing as part of rimming and it's worth it for the pleasure, no? otherwise stay at home and wrap yourself in bubble wrap and hope you live to 90...but without sexual pleasure..why?

Yes, we’re all responsible for our own health!
I started hiring masseurs just recently within the past 6-7 months. When I first started I was not on any type of medication. (In fact I’m such a newbie I didn’t even know there was so much advancement in medicine!)
The first masseur I ever went to could sense that I was a bit apprehensive. After our second session, this masseur (who has become a regular) gave me two doxycycline pills to take “for my peace of mind” and said to me just don’t drink dairy with it 😃. Talk about going above and beyond! I am forever grateful.
I go to this one masseur and one other masseur on a regular basis. Both list “neg and on PreP” in their ads. I don’t have any reason to not believe them.

I have since started taking PreP and have an Rx for doxy Pep; I’ve also been fully vaccinated (Covid, hep, Mpox). I get tested regularly. I’ve also disclosed my health info to my two regular masseurs.

Having taken care of my health has helped me to feel more comfortable and to be more adventurous and to have more fun in our sessions. I also believe that it has helped the two masseurs to feel more comfortable with me and to help me explore more as well. Our sessions have only gotten better!

It’s not rude to ask imho as long as you ask nicely.
I had the same concern about a month ago. I asked a masseur (a regular) if he had any availability on X day. He said he was pretty booked that day but asked me what time was I thinking that I wanted to come in. I said I could come in  between X and Y hours but that “I’d really prefer to see you when you’re not so busy.” He said unfortunately it’s often like that unless you book in advance. He then proceeds to offer me a few optional dates on which I would get his “full energy.”
The masseur knows his schedule best and if you are respectful he may try to accommodate you. No guarantees but worth the try.

Personally, I think it’s fine to agree to what’s requested but - to be fair -  to pay more or market rate if the encounter exceeds your expectation.

Totally agree. I’m new to seeing masseurs. But am lucky enough to find two, right off the bat, that I really like and who are quite generous. (I had some help from this forum finding these masseurs.) My willingness to pay (economic concept) for their services is definitely higher than what these two masseurs charge - so I set my own rate for each of them (same rate for each, just in case they know one another 😁), which is above their own rates. I want them to know I appreciate how much work it takes to be EXCELLENT in this business. As another member wrote in a previous post, there are people who are paying those rates if that is what they continue to ask for. I’m one of those people 😁🤷‍♀️.

TR1989 reacted to + Jamie21 in Escort rates
Escort rates will not necessarily follow inflation. They’re a function of supply and demand for escort work. It’s quite possible for general inflation to be around 3% per annum but escort inflation to be higher. If the supply of escorts reduces (perhaps because of social reasons - society discouraging the work, or illegal immigrants being deported for example…) and the demand increases (perhaps because of closure of spaces for casual hookups) then rates will rise. Escorts know the market, if they sense demand increasing they’ll increase rates.
One of the reasons for suppressing the supply of escorts in the US is the fact that illegality of selling sex deters people from entering the business. I’d guess it deters more on the supply side than it deters clients from buying on the demand side. Therefore it’s expensive to hire.
Regardless of all this, it’s pointless complaining about escort rates. If you can’t afford it that’s tough. You might desperately want it but you’re not going to get it unless you pay his rate. Pay him or move on. No amount of whining will change it. I don’t blame guys for setting their rate and sticking to it. I do the same, I never discount. Guys ask for a reduction in price, or a shorter session for the lower price but I never agree. First it sets the session off on a bad start if I’ve reduced my rate, second those clients don’t appreciate the work and third why should I work for less than I think I’m worth? Other clients pay the rate so I get enough business (demand & supply again). This endless debate on sex worker rates is futile.
