THAT is the first genuine laugh I've had in the last few days. Thank you @Redwine56 !!

@TxMaxx Like you, I, too, enjoy a man’s natural musk. I use a variation of - “If possible, I’d be grateful if you could avoid wearing deodorant during our session. Thank you.” It needn’t be awkward and he’s probably heard it before. And, thank you, @mike carey, for offering a perspective I hadn’t considered.

Dammit! You’re adorable! But … flippin the bird kinda ruins it for me. Pity.

Maybe I’m too cynical … but dude is way too happy … and I like men who smile … Lord, I’m old and bitter. 🤣

Truthfully, for me, it’s not about age – it’s about confidence. My experience has been that the providers over 40 whom I have engaged have had more confidence and less “hang-ups” than younger men – and by “younger” I mean men under 30. I am of the opinion – and again, this is strictly in my experience - that men don’t really know how to f*ck until they’re 40. I have a fave provider who may well be approaching his mid-50’s, and experience has taught him how to enter and f*ck a man with a precision and expertise that I can only hope to emulate. (For context I’m just shy of 62 and sexually active – which is to say that I was a slut - since 17.) Younger guys are fun – there’s nothing so thrilling as to have something that firm and taut under your hand, or wrapped in your arms, or impaled upon your erection. But I’ve encountered too many young guys who are needy, who want constant reassurance that they’re doing it right, who want to take a break to spark a j*int, who shave their pubes, or they want to pnp, which they failed to tell you that they’re into. No. Give me a man at 40 or beyond with some gray at the temples, a bit of snow on the chest, and a full bush, who also has confidence in the bedroom. As always, your mileage may vary and your preferences are respected. (There are always exceptions. One of my other current favorite providers has the wisdom of a man 10 years his senior but dude has a very youthful vibe when f*cking – and he’s 32.)

That is a nice set of balls, too!

I can’t say that I met him or even communicated with him. BUT he recently - like, within the last 10 days - showed his location as Albuquerque, New Mexico, where I live, for about a week, give or take. Beyond that, I’ve nothing to add. To the OP, all I will say is go with your gut. I hope someone in our community will have something more to add.

I can't tell you how excited I am about the Winter Olympics
mtaabq replied to samhexum's topic in The Sports Desk
Truthfully, I had never thought about it that way. That’s a very, very interesting - and astute - observation. As for our US men’s hockey team … they won gold IN the US (Lake Placid), and that victory is still pretty special to me. I remember watching it live. Even my father, for whom no other sport exists beyond (US) football, got caught up in the magic. And, truth be told, I’m originally from Rockford, IL, home of Sapporo 1972 bronze medalist (Ladies Figure Skating), Janet Lynn. She fell twice in the long program and still got a medal. Lord, I’m old. 🤣 -

With that in mind I will say that I haven’t hired anyone who identified as “straight” in years. And my memory is that those scenes were less than satisfactory. But, as many in this community will tell you, your mileage may vary. I wish you well and hope your experience is excellent.

Truer words …
-
I’m very sorry that happened to you. If it’s any consolation, I experienced a very similar situation, right down to the pretext of the provider answering a text. It’s probably happened to a lot of us.
-
Dude, you just answered your own question. A LOT of gay men fantasize about being with a “straight” man and a lot of gay men only seek out “straight” men. In my opinion, and in many cases, “straight” is nothing more than a marketing ploy to get business. I am old and way too cynical. That said, check the guy out, vet him well, hire, and have fun. (And, to be fair, a lot of men who enjoy and seek out sex with other men don’t identify as gay. I’m not telling you anything you don’t know.)

Do you ever contact RM reviewers for more info on reviews?
mtaabq replied to thruster's topic in Questions About Hiring
I regularly contact RM members directly for info on providers and like @PhileasFogg about 1 in 3 will respond to me. That is, of course, after I research a provider here first. I also receive about 1 inquiry a month asking me about providers whom I have reviewed. I try to keep it light and middle of the road whether it be a positive review or less so. -
Now THAT I would like to read. Help me out here - what State did she represent? Was it Montana? I recall it was a Western State. What is the name of the book? Thank you!!

Moustache: yay or nay? That seventies look!
mtaabq replied to marylander1940's topic in Legacy Gallery
Goddamn! Pornstache, tan line, meaty cock AND bush? Be still my heart! Damn! Say what you will but the 70's/early 80's were a golden age for gay porn, that's for damn sure! -
How would you know if a dancer would come to your place?
mtaabq replied to ajvanguard's topic in Male Strip Clubs
@BeamerBikes Thank you for that advice. I had not read that in the forum before, stated like that, and that is excellent info to have. @ajvanguard There's no harm in asking directly; the worst thing they're gonna say is "no" - referring back to @BeamerBikes - you need to be prepared to get the brush off. The one time I asked a dancer directly we were able to negotiate a later visit at my hotel during a lap dance. Dude showed up when promised and gave me a very good time for a fee that I was willing to pay. But he easily could have told me "no". Guess I got lucky. I haven't tried that again since. -
Let’s not forget 1980’s Catherine O’Hara on “SCTV”. Like Gilda Radner on “SNL”, Ms O’Hara had the ability to take sub-standard material and make it funny. She could be howlingly hilarious - remember “Lola Heatherton” and “Dusty Towne”? - or “English for Beginners”? - plus she and Andrea Martin - and Eugene Levy - were amazing. Simply amazing. Then, along came “Beetlejuice” and then “Home Alone”, and then all those wacky characters from the mind of Christopher Guest. Then we were blessed by the Gods of Television who gave us Moira Rose. (“Stop acting like a disgruntled pelican.”) When the blurb came up on my news feed on Friday that she was gone the sky went dark. And I felt genuinely bereft. It was far too soon for her to go.
