I get what you’re saying - and think you’re right which is why I ALWAYS say upfront I’m plus size and ask if the providers are comfortable with that.
He initially said yes when I told him this - and the. we trade all this back and forth. Then, I tell him some expectations - and THEN he ask for my actual weight... it was a little suspect in my opinion, and I wish if it had been a dealbreaker, that question would have come at the beginning of our conversation rather than after making plans and setting expectations to have it end the way it did at the last minute. For someone who is fat (to be blunt), it’s hard not to be triggered or feel a certain type of way when you’re essentially conditioned to ask ahead of time if you’re “worthy” of their time and talents.
