Truth be told we should be inviting him for a drink rather than the other way around …

Hello, Sailor! May I buy you a drink?

My God. Life was beautiful then. Yeah, I was there. I’m probably over-romanticizing it. But I won’t apologize for that given what we now know was waiting down the road.

If I pick them up shirtless there’s no question that I’ll pick them up pantsless.

Not only no qualms but no embarrassment and no compunction about putting your arm around another man. Or am I just over-romanticizing it?

Before Calvin Klein there was Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, and Jockey.

My God … satin running shorts. All that’s missing is the glitter ball and the roller skates. I like the lean physique, though. And do I see a mustache?

Warning Do Not Hire BlueWatchOn currently on Rentmen

Every time I visit CoM I usually learn something new. Today I learned that I’m not alone having been shafted after paying a deposit. I paid two hundred. And I always thought I was smarter than that. (Apparently not.) So … it happens. And it sucks. And you learn from it and move on. My condolences to everyone it has happened to and my gratitude to everyone who told their stories here. -

Hey jeezifonly - thank you. I needed to read that tonight. -
Is it common for providers to ask for a client’s pic?
mtaabq replied to hwic04's topic in Questions About Hiring
I have no problem if a provider asks for a pic; my pics are on RM so they are already “out there” and that was the right decision for me. I often meet providers in hotel lobbies (especially the first time) and my pic helps them find me. Everyone - provider and client alike - gets to set their own rules, policies and protocols. -
Yes! Thank you!

As much as I want to shout, “NO! NO! You’re wrong! It can still work!”, I have to admit that you’re probably right. And I respect you for saying it. And I hate the fact that I am such a bitter cynic.

I seem to recall that Christine Baranski starred as “Mame” in a short-lived revival that played at Kennedy Center in DC. (Or maybe Lincoln Center in NYC.) Or perhaps it was simply a “special performance” or a 1-time staging in advance of a possible revival. I can see the blurb from a newspaper or magazine in my head. I may be wrong and I want to say there was a video of the opening number on YouTube at one time. Someone here might know what I’m referring to. Or did I imagine it? Lord knows I used to drink a lot.

After reading through this entire topic I have to take a moment and be grateful. “Grateful” because my interactions with providers have been relatively tame or downright ordinary compared to a lot of what I’ve read here. Oh sure, there’s been the occasional oddball and 1 or 2 (or 3) truly disappointing sessions. But, overall, I’ve been pretty lucky. It’s said that God looks out for fools, drunks and children, which makes me doubly blessed.

Hotties on HGTV/Home & Garden TV

Real Estate Broker here. In Albuquerque we’re using the term “primary bedroom” or “primary suite”. HUD got on us a number of years ago to stop using the term “master suite” but it’s been just recently that we have been seriously encouraged to change our phrasing. I’ve not experienced any pushback about the term “man cave”; many women tell me that they want a “man cave” for their husbands or boyfriends. Bearing on the subject, yes, there is a lot of male eye candy on the various home improvement shows. -
“The Little Dog Laughed” at the Desert Rose Theater in Palm Desert/Palm Springs. “Love! Valour! Compassion!” at The Vortex in Albuquerque. Not sure if it counts but “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof” on PBS’s “American Playhouse” with Jessica Lange and Tommy Lee Jones (back in the 80’s) as well as the (somewhat) recent London version with Sienna Miller, which I saw at the cinema.

What level of restaurant and hotel do you go with providers?
mtaabq replied to Dingdi's topic in Questions About Hiring
I once secured the services of a provider at a Starbucks in Tempe so that cost me $5 (back then) for some fancy iced tea. After we had our fun (at a Courtyard by Marriott) I agreed to give him a ride and he asked if I would buy him In & Out. There's another $10. That was no problem and he was a nice man. In Dallas I once had a provider tell me that he didn't meet customers at the Hampton Inn (where I was staying), but I have always thought he was looking to get out of the appointment rather than having a genuine objection to my choice of accommodations. An hour later another provider said to me, "The Hampton Inn Market Center? No problem. That's easy for me to get to and easy to get in and out of. See you soon." We went at it hard during a thunderstorm and it was great. In Las Vegas I've learned that a lot of providers sometimes prefer the smaller off-strip properties as they can be easier to get to and easier to get into. It pretty much comes down to confidence and courtesy. From both parties. I hope that's all on-topic.
