and texts that I receive which are green are automatically highly suspect as 85% of the time its an immediate indication that someone is using a burner number and wasting my time.

Hopefully ok to add without any Pic's but this reminded me of a bittersweet situation i just had a couple months ago.
Traveling this summer caught a flight from Cleveland to Dallas one random Sunday evening. To my pleasant surprise there were literally 25 to 30 Wrestler gents looking like this. (Obviously not in singlet uniforms, but in College and other Wrestling sweats, athletic gear. Tons of Oklahoma State Wrestlers which fyi is the winningest National Championship Collegiate program of consistently any sport in the Country. So i knew these guys were legit).
There were so many good looking athletic dudes and it was obvious there was a competition as many of their faces were recently bruised from Mat burns and some bloated ears etc.. But trust me it was a gallery of uber hotness!  
After calming myself trying not to give away my nearly uncontrollable infatuations, I asked one of the guys what the deal was?
Turns out it had been the World Championship of Wrestling Invitational for competitors aged 19 - 25 that had been held in Cleveland.  
First time I didn't want a Plane ride to end! Haha
 

While I agree that it is petty and unfair for an escort to leave a negative review on Mr Number for you not deciding to book with him, and that whoever did this is an asshat, the vast majority of the reviews on Mr Number are about people who flake, who don't show up to appointments, who don't pay or don't pay in full, who do crazy shit. 
And there are a LOT of them. Believe me. I would say 90% of inquiries escorts receive are total bullshit from people who have zero intention of meeting up. People who collect a pic or two and then block. People who make plans and then cancel repeatedly, or who play games, or send people to the wrong address. And people do waste your time - asking lots of questions and sharing their specific turn ons and then, when it comes time to make an appointment, ghosting altogether.
I think it's 100% reasonable for escorts to have a means to warn each other and protect each other. I'm aware from reading this forum of the many horror stories people have of escorts being abusive, stealing, etc. But you have to understand that many escorts experience crazy shit from clients and would-be clients as well - theft, mind games, stalking.
Y'all have this forum to look out for each other. Escorts get to have one too. It sucks that people may abuse that service to tarnish a decent client's reputation, but the same could and probably does happen here.

You should have paid him the full fee before you left. His only asset is time. Time he committed to you he could not commit to another client, therefore he may have forgone income to accomodate you. Really bad manners on your part.

It's not always kicking tires, sometimes messaging more than one provider is trying to find the one that's available. I had an unexpected detour on a trip last year that I found myself in a city I hadn't planned on visiting, therefore I hadn't researched anyone I wanted to hire. Texted half a dozen providers since I had limited time in town to see if anyone was available. One responded a couple hours later saying he wasn't available, the rest didn't even bother responding. It's also not always clear who is the casual provider doing it when they are bored and need money versus the ones that take it seriously.

Advertising as "straight" means that the escort can always pull the "straight" card if there is something he doesn't want to do with you. Also, he can make you feel special if he does do something with you that you assumed he wasn't willing to do with just any man.

I prefer text because then I can look up their number to see if they have bad reviews. If they have two or more bad reviews I block the client and don't bother.. 

And I don't want to trade countless rentmen messages with you until I know you're not just fantasizing.  A phone number means you have some skin in the game, not just getting the keyboard sticky.
And I'll have my communications on a platform I control (text or preferably iMessage), not one controlled by some outside party.
